In this article,we looked at metallenes,a novel class of two-dimensional(2D)metals that are attracting interest in the energy and catalysis *** is one area where their exceptional physicochemical and electrical characteristics might be *** are unique because they include several metal atoms that are not in a coordinated *** makes them more active and improves their atomic uti-lization,which in turn increases their catalytic *** article delves into the potential of two-dimensional metals as electrocatalysts for carbon dioxide reduction,fuel oxidation,oxygen evolution,and oxygen reduction reactions in the context of sustainable energy *** to the exception-ally high surface-to-volume ratio,large surface area as well as their optimized atomic use efficiency,2D materials defined by atomic layers are crucial for surface-related sustainable energy *** to its exceptional properties,such as high conductivity and the ability to enhance the exposure of active metal sites,2D metallenes have recently attracted a lot of interest for use in catalysis,electronics,and energy-related *** their highly mobility,adjustable surface states,and electrical struc-tures that can be fine-tuned,2D metallenes are promising nanostructure materials for use in energy con-version with the sustainable applications.

Synthesis,Spectroscopic Characterization,Thermogravimetric and Biological Activity Evaluation of Te(Ⅳ),Se(Ⅳ),V(Ⅲ),Nb(Ⅴ),Ta(Ⅴ)Complexes With Indole-3-Acetic Acid Plant Hormone Ligand

Te(Ⅳ),Se(Ⅳ),V(Ⅲ),Nb(Ⅴ)and Ta(Ⅴ)complexes of indole-3-acetic acid(IAAH)ligand were synthesized,characterized by elemental analysis and various spectroscopic techniques like,IR,1H-NMR,X-ray powder diffraction,UV-Visible,thermogravimetry analysis,magnetic measurements,molar conductance and surface morphology using *** the synthesized complexes of IAAH ligand have 1∶2 stoichiometry of the types[Te(IAA)2(NH 3)2]·2Cl(Ⅰ),[Se(IAA)2(NH 3)2]·2Cl(Ⅱ),[V(IAA)2(NH 3)(Cl)](Ⅲ),[Nb(IAA)2(Cl)3](Ⅳ),and[Ta(IAA)2(Cl)3](Ⅴ).Spectral analysis indicates octahedral geometry for the Te(Ⅳ),Se(Ⅳ)and V(Ⅲ)complexes,whereas both Nb(Ⅴ)and Ta(Ⅴ)have a *** bonding sites are the oxygen atoms of carboxylate group for the deprotonated indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)*** thermogravimetry analysis studies gave evidence for the presence of other coordinated molecules(Cl or NH 3)in the composition of IAA complexes,which were further supported by IR and micro analytical *** higher molar conductance data of tellurium and selenium(Ⅳ)complexes reveal that these chelates are electrolytes,while low conductivity values for the vanadium(Ⅲ),niobium and tantalum(Ⅴ)chelates indicated a *** test the antibacterial property of the five complexes in this study,four bacterial strains Klebsiella(G-),Escherichia coli(G-),Staphylococcus aureus(G+)and Staphylococcus epidermidis(G+)were used in the *** effects of the five complexes in the cytotoxicity of Caco-2 and Mcf-7 human cancer cell lines were studied Neutral red uptake assay for the estimation of cell viability/cytotoxicity protocol.

Metformin(Met)is a drug developed for the treatment of patients with typeⅡ ***,Met estimation in pharmaceutical formulations and human fluids has gained a growing *** extend requisite data that can be used to assessment of Met quantitatively based on charge-transfer(CT)complexation,the present study describes the synthesis and characterization of CT complexes that formed between drug Met and the organicπ-acceptors picric acid(PA),chloranilic acid(CLA),chloranil(CHL),7,7',8,8'-tetracyanoquinodimethane(TCNQ),and dichlorodicyanobenzoquinone(DDQ).The properties of the formed CT complexes were investigated by elemental,spectral(UV-visible,IR,and Raman spectroscopies),thermal(TG)and morphological(SEM)*** results indicated that the complexation of Met with either PA or CLA acceptors occurs through proton transfer interaction,whereas its complexation with CHL,TCNQ,or DDQ acceptors occurs through n→π*interaction.

Synthesis and Spectroscopic Characterizations of the Mono-and Bimolecular Iron(Ⅲ)Complexes by the Interaction With Tris Buffer in Neutralized Media:Biological and Morphological Investigations

The reaction of iron(Ⅲ)anions,FeCl 3 and Fe 2(SO 4)3 with tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane(Tris)in a 1∶2 molar ratio affords the new coordination compounds NH 4[Fe 2(Tris)2(H 2O)4(SO 4)](Ⅰ)and NH 4[Fe(Tris)2(H 2O)2](Ⅱ).These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis,and their molecular structures were determined by spectroscopic methods(infrared and electronic spectra),magnetic susceptibility,and molar conductivity measurements,and further corroborated by thermo gravimetric analysis and its differential(TGA/DrTGA).According to the experimental data,the complexes can be characterized in the solid state as mono-and binuclear,with a distorted octahedral *** distorted octahedral stereochemistry adopted by the complexes was confirmed by the magnetic susceptibility measurement of NH 4[Fe 2(Tris)2(H 2O)4(SO 4)],which consists of a six-coordinate iron atoms in a distorted octahedral environment constructed from four O atoms(two Tris molecules),two O atoms from the loosely associated SO 4 coordinated ligand,and O,N of second Tris molecule with occupying by four oxygen atoms of coordinated water ***,NH 4[Fe(Tris)2(H 2O)2]complex the mono iron atom is surrounded by six oxygen atoms as four by two Tris molecules and two coordinated water molecules in axial *** and anticancer activities of the complexes were studied and the complexes were screened against bacteria,colorectal adenocarcinoma(Caco-2)and breast cancer(Mcf-7)cell lines.

Synthesis of Some New Pyridine-2-yl-Benzylidene-Imines

A series of new Schiff bases derived from 2-aminopyridenes and various aromatic aldehydes have been synthesized and thoroughly investigated by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The imines were found to exist as only a single E-isomer at ambient temperature. Interestingly, 1H- and 13C-NMR chemical shifts of the (CH=N) amino group are affected by the type of substituent group (X) on the aryl ring. Furthermore UV and IR Spectra of some of the title compounds are also reported.

Protonic recognition and assembly for the creation of porous Br?nsted acid catalysts with enhanced catalytic efficiency

Due to the high local concentration of substrates in confined space, porous solid Br?nsted acids have been extensively explored for efficient acid-catalyzed reaction. However, the porous structures with strong Br?nsted acids lack long-term stability due to chemical hydrolysis. Moreover, the products inhibition effect in confined rigid cavities severely obstructs subsequent catalysis. Here, tubular Br?nsted acid catalyst with unique recognition of protons was presented by self-assembly of p H-responsive aromatic amphiphiles. The responsive assembly could mechanically transfer hydrogen ions from low-concentration acidic solution into tubular defined pores, thereby producing effective catalytic activity for Mannich reactions in mildly acidic solution. Notably, the tubular catalyst unfolded into flat sheets upon addition of triethylamine for efficient release of products, which could be recovered by subsequent acidification and the catalytic activity still remained. Therefore, the porous Br?nsted acid with reversible assembly provides a new strategy for mass synthesis through increasing conversion times.

We describe the effects of plane surface on the photo-detached electron spectra from H^(-)_(2).A z-polarized laser is used for the detachment of *** detached electron flux and photodetachment cross section are *** exists strong dependence on the distance of the H^(-)_(2) from the surface and also on the separation of atomic centers of H^(-)_(2).The results show strong oscillations for smaller values of distances,whereas for larger values the oscillating structure disappears.

Counter-current three-phase fluidization in a turbulent contact absorber： A CFD simulation

A computational fluid dynamics study of three-phase counter-current fluidization occurring in a turbu- lent contact absorber was performed. A two-dimensional, transient Eulerian multi-fluid model was used, in which the dispersed solid phase was modeled employing a kinetic theory of granular flow. The grid independence of the model, the effect of wall boundary conditions, the choice of granular temperature model, the effects of order of discretization scheme and drag models were studied for a base case setting, The results of simulations were validated against experimental results obtained from the literature. Once the model settings were finalized, simulations were performed for different gas and liquid velocities to predict the hydrodynamics of the absorber. Computed bed expansion and pressure drop were compared with experimental data. Good agreement between the two was found for low velocities of gas and liquid.
