Oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)plays an important role in dictating the performance of v.rious electrochemical energy *** platinum nanoparticles hav. serv.d as the catalysts of choice towards ORR,minimizing the cost of the catalysts by diminishing the platinum nanoparticle size has become a critical route to adv.ncing the technological ***,first-principle calculations show that carbon-supported Pt9 clusters represent the threshold domain size,and the ORR activ.ty can be significantly improv.d by doping of adjacent cobalt *** is confirmed experimentally,where platinum and cobalt are dispersed in nitrogen-doped carbon nanowires in v.ried forms,single atoms,few-atom clusters,and nanoparticles,depending on the initial *** sample consisting primarily of Pt_(2~7)clusters doped with atomic Co species exhibits the best mass activ.ty among the series,with a current density of 4:16Amg^(-1)_(Pt)at+0.85v.*** that is almost 50 times higher than that of commercial Pt/C.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs) are rare but most common nonepithelial tumor of gastrointestinal tract. They are often found incidentally on computed tomography and endoscopic inv.stigations. Increasing knowledge of the pathogenesis of GISTs and the adv.nt of tyrosine kinase inhibitors rev.lutionized the management of GISTs. The newer adv.nced endoscopic techniques hav. challenged the conv.ntional surgery although the true efficacy and safety of endoscopic approach is not clear at this time. This rev.ew article focuses on pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of GISTs.

The dry deposition process refers to the flux loss of an atmospheric pollutant due to uptake of the pollutant by the earth’s *** deposition flux of a chemical species is typically calculated as the product of its surface-layer concentration and its dry deposition v.locity(v.(d)).Field measurement based v.(d) data are v.ry scarce or do not exist for many chemical species considered in chemistry transport *** the present study,gaseous and particulate dry deposition schemes were applied to generate a database of hourly v.(d) for 45 gaseous species and three particle size ranges for two years(2016–2017)at a 15 kmby 15 km horizontal resolution across North *** v.(d) of the 45 gaseous species ranged fromv.lues being in the range of 0.018–1.37 cm/sec(0.05–1.43 cm/sec).The spatial distributions of the two-year av.rage v.(d) showed v.lues higher than 1–3 cm/sec for those soluble and reactiv. species ov.r certain land *** species hav. the highest v.(d) ov.r water surfaces,while insoluble but reactiv. species hav. the highest v.(d) ov.r *** v.(d) of PM_(2.5) across the whole domain ranged from 0.039 to 0.75 cm/sec with median(mean)v.lue of 0.18(0.20)cm s^(−1),while the mean v.(d) for PM_(2.5)–10 is twice that of PM_(2.5).Uncertainties in the modeled v.(d) are typically on the order of a factor of 2.0 or larger,which needs to be considered when applying the dataset in other studies.

This paper presents a literature rev.ew focused on the material performance of cold-formed, carbon steel, hollow structural sections under impulsiv. （highly dynamic） loading. Impulsiv. loading, represented by impact and blast, is characterized by a v.ry rapid, time-dependent loading regime in the affected members and materials. Thus, the effect of high-strain-rate loading is initially rev.ewed. Next the material toughness, an important energy-absorption property and one measure of a material＇s ability to arrest fracture, is considered by means of studying the Charpy v.notch behav.or. The response of hollow sections under axial and lateral impact loading is then rev.ewed. Studies of blast on hollow sections, most of which fall under the categories of contact/near-field loading or far-field loading are presented. Under large-scale field blast experiments, cold-formed hollow sections hav. shown excellent behav.or. Software for modeling blast loading and structural response, the latter including single degree of freedom analysis and explicit finite element analysis, is described and discussed.

BACKGROUND Small bowel obstructions(SBOs)are common following a large intra-abdominal operation;howev.r,SBOs caused by bezoars are unreported in patients following liv.r-kidney transplantation procedures,particularly in *** SUMMARY A 65-year-old Caucasian female presented with nausea and nonbilious emesis during her postoperativ. course following a simultaneous liv.r-kidney *** dev.loped worsening nausea and v.miting with significant abdominal distension and *** tomography imaging showed a marked abnormal dilation of multiple small bowel loops with a distinct transition point that was suggestiv. of a small bowel *** exploratory laparotomy rev.aled a foreign body in the intestinal track approximately 30 cm from the ileocecal *** foreign body was extracted and identified as a bezoar with hair follicles and old digestiv. *** the operation,the patient demonstrated rapid clinical improv.ment with resolution of nausea,emesis,and progress in bowel *** SBOs caused by bezoars can occur immediately following a liv.r-kidney transplantation and should not be discounted as a diagnosis.
