The housing sector today uses elaborate materials such as cement,iron,sand,often prohibitively expensive and whose production generates a strong environmental impact(scarcity of resources,transport,greenhouse gas greenhouse,etc.).In order to meet the challenges of sustainable development,earth construction is experiencing a resurgence of interest these *** its many advantages,raw earth material has drawbacks,in particular its low mechanical resistance and its loss of geometric characteristics in the face of water,which slow down its *** part of this study,the mechanical characteristics and durability of raw earth were improved by using residual water from the processing of Parkia Biglobosa(nere)and Vitellaria Paradoxa(shea)nuts in order to optimize its use for the construction of modern *** this end,the decoctions resulting from the artisanal transformation of the nut of the Parkia Biglobosa into African mustard and of the Vitellaria Paradoxa into shea butter were added to the raw earth according to volume proportions of 25%,50%,75%and 100%of the aqueous solution to obtain the projected ***,mechanical characterization and durability tests were carried out on the composites *** results revealed that the decoctions of Vitellaria Paradoxa and Parkia Biglobosa improve the compressive strength of the material by up to 90%and 260%,***,these decoctions improved the resistance to water penetration of the 100%additive composite by 1.5 times for Vitellaria Paradoxa and 5 times for Parkia *** study shows that it is possible to use decoctions as raw earth stabilizers to build modern,ecological buildings at lower energy ***,more in-depth studies on surface wettability and long-term durability are planned to better characterize the geomaterial.

Introduction: Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a chronic cerebrovascular disorder characterized by progressive bilateral occlusion of the supraclinoid internal carotid artery (ICA) and its main branches, associated with the development of fine collateral networks, especially adjacent to the site of occlusion in the deep areas of the brain. MMD frequently occurs in East Asian populations, including pediatric and adult patients, and may lead to ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke, headache, epilepsy or transient ischemic attack. The majority is presumed to be of genetic origin and few cases of thrombophilia have been reported in MMD. We report a case of MMD in a young sub-Saharan African woman associated with Hyperhomocysteninemia (HHCys). Observation: A 33-year-old female was seen for aphasia, which had suddenly appeared fourteen days before, and was associated with memory impairment. She mentioned chronic headaches during the 10 previous years, of frontal seat, without migraine criteria. She had no history of hypertension, no obesity, no known dyslipidemia, and there was no family history of stroke. Neurological examination noted Wernicke’s aphasia, with discreet right central facial palsy, associated with memory impairment. The brain MRI revealed semi recent infarct in the left parietal lobe, sequelae in the left temporo-occipital and right frontal with lacunar ischemic lesions, associated with several foci of sub- cortical demyelination. MRA showed stenosis of the supraclinoid carotid arteries and their division branches. In addition, there was a stenosis of the posterior cerebral arteries, with a network of anastomosis at the level of the base of the skull. An investigation of thrombophilia showed hyperhomocysteinemia (HHCys). The diagnosis of moyamoya disease associated with hyperhomocysteinemia was mentioned. She was treated by Aspirin combined to folic acid. After a 3-year setback the patient was asymptomatic. Conclusion: MMD is a rare cause of stroke in sub-Saharan Afric

In this paper, the authors consider the Gevrey class regularity of a semigroup associated with a nonlinear Korteweg-de Vries(Kd V for short) equation. By estimating the resolvent of the corresponding linear operator, the authors conclude that the semigroup generated by the linear operator is not analytic but of Gevrey class δ∈( 3/2, ∞) for t > 0.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD),the most common neurodegenerative disorder,affects millions of people *** a recent publication,Guo-Jun Chen and colleagues highlight the role of matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)13(also called Collagenase 3)in AD pathogenesis through regulating BACE1,1 a rate-limiting enzyme for b-amyloid(Ab)peptide production.2 Proteolytic processing of amyloid precursor protein(APP)by BACE1 and g-secretase generates Ab,which accumulate in brain senile plaques in AD.3 MMPs are a group of enzymes that degrade extracellular matrix and cleave proteins involved in signal transduction.

Studying different theoretical properties of epidemiological models has been widely addressed, while numerical studies and especially the calibration of models, which are often complicated and loaded with a high number of unknown parameters, against measured data have received less attention. In this paper, we describe how a combination of simulated data and Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods can be used to study the identifiability of model parameters with different type of measurements. Three known models are used as case studies to illustrate the importance of parameter identifiability: a basic SIR model, an influenza model with vaccination and treatment and a HIV–Malaria co-infection model. The analysis reveals that calibration of complex models commonly studied in mathematical epidemiology, such as the HIV–Malaria co-dynamics model, can be difficult or impossible, even if the system would be fully observed. The presented approach provides a tool for design and optimization of real-life field campaigns of collecting data, as well as for model selection.

AIM:To report the results of a medical management of sphincter of oddi dysfunction(SOD) after an intermediate follow-up ***:A total of 59 patients with SOD(2 men and 57 women,mean age 51 years old) were included in this prospective *** medical treatment for one year,the patients were clinically re-evaluated after an average period of 30 ***:The distribution of the patients according to the Milwaukee's classification was the following:11 patients were type 1,34 were type 2 and 14 were type *** patients underwent an endoscopic sphincterotomy(ES) after one year of medical *** median intermediate follow-up period was 29.8 ± 3 mo(3-72 mo).The initial effectiveness of the medical treatment was complete,partial and poor among 50.8%,13.5% and 35%,respectively,of the *** the end of the follow-up period,37 patients(62.7%) showed more than 50% *** rate of improvement in patients who required ES was not significantly different compared with the patients treated conservatively(64.2% vs 62.2%,respectively).CONCLUSION:Our study confirms that conservative medical treatment could be an alternative to endoscopic sphincterotomy because,after an intermediate follow-up period,the two treatments show the same success rates.

The authors prove the global null controllability for the 1-dimensional nonlinear slow diffusion equation by using both a boundary and an internal control. They assume that the internal control is only time dependent. The proof relies on the return method in combination with some local controllability results for nondegenerate equations and rescaling techniques.
