BACKGROUND probiotics are a promising solution for managing irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Saccharomyces cerevisiae(***)I-3856 has already demonstrated beneficial effects in IBS subjects,particularly in IBS with predominant constipation(IBS-C).AIM to confirm the efficacy of *** I-3856 in the management of gastrointestinal symptoms in *** A randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled clinical study was performed in a total of 456 *** a run-in period,subjects were randomly assigned to the group receiving *** I-3856(8×109 CFU daily)or the placebo for 8 wk,and they performed daily self-evaluations of gastrointestinal *** primary objective was to assess the effect of the probiotic on abdominal *** secondary objectives were the evaluation of other gastrointestinal symptoms,bowel movement frequency and consistency,and quality of life(QOL).RESULtS A significantly higher proportion of abdominal pain responders was reported in the probiotic group(45.1%vs 33.9%,p=0.017).A nonsignificant difference in the area under the curve for abdominal pain over the second month of supplementation was observed in subjects receiving probiotic vs placebo[p=0.073,95%CI:-0.59(-1.23;0.05)].No statistically significant differences were reported in the evolution of bowel movement frequency and stool consistency between the *** 8 wk of supplementation,the overall QOL score was significantly higher in the probiotic group than in the placebo group[p=0.047,95%CI:3.86(0.52;7.20)].Furthermore,exploratory analyses showed statistically significant and clinically relevant improvements in QOL scores in abdominal pain responders vs *** the results of this clinical study confirmed the abdominal pain alleviation properties of *** I-3856 in *** pain relief was associated with improved *** identifier:NCt03150212.

Iohexol plasma and urinary concentrations in cirrhotic patients:A pilot study

Cyclin A2 is an essential regulator of the cell division cycle through the activation of kinases that participate to the regulation of S phase as well as the mitotic entry. However,whereas its degradation by the proteasome in mid mitosis was thought to be essential for mitosis to proceed,recent observations show that a small fraction of cyclin A2 persists beyond metaphase and is degraded by autophagy. Its implication in the control of cytoskeletal dynamics and cell movement has unveiled its role in the modulation of Rho A activity. Since this Gtpase is involved in both cell rounding early in mitosis and later,in the formation of the cleavage furrow,this suggests that cyclin A2 is a novel actor in cytokinesis. taken together,these data point to this cyclin as a potential mediator of cell-niche interactions whose dysregulation could be taken as a hallmark of metastasis.

Use of a new retrograde filling material(Biodentine) for endodontic surgery: two case reports

Mineral trioxide aggregate（MtA） is considered at the present time as the gold standard for root-end filling in endodontic ***, this biocompatible material presents several drawbacks such as a long setting time and handling difficulties. the aim of this article is to present a new commercialized calcium silicate-based material named Biodentine with physical improved properties compared to MtA in a clinical application. two endodontic microsurgeries were performed by using specific armamentarium（microsurgical instrumentation, ultrasonic tips） under high-power magnification with an operatory microscope. Biodentine was used as a root-end filling in order to seal the root canal system. the two cases were considered completely healed at 1 year and were followed for one more year. the 2-year follow-up consolidated the previous observation with absence of clinical symptoms and radiographic evidence of regeneration of the periapical tissues.

Obstetrical and perinatal Outcomes of Adolescent pregnancies in Cameroon: A Retrospective Cohort Study at the YaoundéGeneral Hospital

Background: Adolescent pregnancy is a serious health and social problem worldwide as well as in Cameroon. the aim of this study was to determine the obstetrical and perinatal outcomes of nulliparous adolescent pregnancies in a reference hospital in Cameroon. Methods: A retrospective cohort study to compare the outcomes of nulliparous adolescent pregnancies to those of nulliparous women aged 20 to 25 years was carried out at the Yaoundé General Hospital between January 1993 and December 2012. Results: Adolescent deliveries represented 2.84% (331 deliveries) of all deliveries registered during the study period. the adolescent mothers had a significantly higher incidence of preeclampsia/eclampsia, preterm delivery and low birth weight babies (pared to the control group (OR, 3.46;CI 95%, 1.46 - 8.18;OR, 1.94 CI 95%, 1.34 - 2.79;OR, 1.98, CI 95%, 1.39 - 2.46, respectively). However, placenta previa, abruptio placenta, episiotomy, cesarean section, vaginal instrumental delivery, perineal tears and post partum hemorrhage were not significantly different in the two groups. Furthermore, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups regarding fetal distress, low Apgar score (st and 5th minutes), the rate of admission in the neonatal intensive care unit, stillbirth and neonatal death. Conclusion: Adolescent pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of preeclampsia/ eclampsia, preterm birth and low birth weight.

the management of information flow for production improvement has always been a target in the research. In this paper, the focus is on the analysis model of the characteristics of information flow in shop floor operations based on the influence that dimension (support or medium), direction and the quality information flow have on the value of information flow using machine learning classification algorithms. the obtained results of classification algorithms used to analyze the value of information flow are Decision trees (Dt) and Random Forest (RF) with a score of 0.99% and the mean absolute error of 0.005. the results also show that the management of information flow using Dt or RF shows that, the dimension of information such as digital information has the greatest value of information flow in shop floor operations when the shop floor is totally digitalized. Direction of information flow does not have any great influence on shop floor operations processes when the operations processes are digitalized or done by operators as machines.

the contraction of an air filament surrounded by liquid is studied by direct numerical simulation with the open source code Basilisk.A steady air filament will contract under the action of surface *** dynamics will depend on the Ohnesorge number and the aspect ratio of the *** contraction velocity will increase to a maximum and then *** to capillary instability,the long filament will break up into *** maximum contraction velocity and time needed to attain the maximum velocity and time for breakup have different scaling in function of the Ohnesorge number.A transition from capillary-inertia scaling to capillary-viscous scaling is *** filament can contract into a bubble or break up into multiple bubbles,the fate is depended by Ohnesorge number and aspect ratio of *** short filament and highly viscous filament,they will not break *** filament with low Ohnesorge number,the oscillation of the final bubble can shed vortex into the liquid,forming a vortex ring.A phase diagram is developed to elucidate the breakup length threshold for different Ohnesorge number.

the retinoid receptor-related orphan receptor alpha（RORα） is thought to act as a constitutive activator of transcription by binding to the ROR response element（RORE） of target genes. Several mouse models in which RORα is defective have revealed the decisive roles of RORα on the development, maturation and neuroprotection of various cerebral regions including the cerebellar and somatosensory systems. We have recently shown that RORα is needed for accurate thalamic sensory system organization and somatosensory cortex development. the phenotype of various RORα deficient mice models（staggerer mutant or mouse lacking RORα in specific somatosensory regions） is, in part, reminiscent of what has been described in mice lacking thyroid hormone triiodothyronine（t3）. As in in vitro studies or in other models, our studies strongly suggest that the t3/RORα-pathway, among others, is in part responsible for the staggerer phenotype. We have indeed identified some genes that were both regulated by t3 and RORα and that are known to be implicated in the cerebellar or somatosensory system development. Moreover, several groups have shown that RORα is at the crossroad of many biological processes and pathologies, including psychiatric and degenerative disorders. In particular, defective RORα-signalling has been demonstrated in humans to be associated with the emergence of autistic-like disorders. We believe that determining the appropriate amount of RORα activity could be crucial in detecting and preventing the emergence of specific brain diseases.
