用气体分析及IR ,NMR和元素分析等方法研究了真空系统中 2 30和 2 80℃下四丁基锗在ZSM 5沸石表面上的接枝反应 ,并对所得沸石的热稳定性和吸附性质进行了表征 .与作者曾报道的在硅胶及丝光沸石上的反应类似 ,四丁基锗也能与ZSM 5沸石表面上的硅羟基发生缩合反应 ,在其外表面或孔口生成组成为 (≡Si—O) xGe(n C4 H9) 4-x(x =13)的表面有机锗化合物 .在 2 30℃接枝丁基锗基团不影响沸石的结构和表面积 ,仅改变它的孔口大小 .在改性后的沸石上 ,N2 的吸附性质没有改变 ,而不同分子尺寸的烃 ,如正己烷、2 甲基戊烷、2 ,3 二甲基丁烷却呈现出完全不同于起始ZSM 5沸石的择形吸附效应 .

Characterization of Personal Clothing Worn by Pesticide Sprayers in Foumbot Agricultural Area (Cameroon)

Personal protective equipment is intended to protect worker from risks that cannot be eliminated for more effective safety. This study was aimed at evaluating the type of cloth worn by pesticide users in Foumbot agricultural area (West Region of Cameroon) and to identify signs and symptoms related to pesticides effects on human health. A survey was conducted on seventy (70) farmers randomly selected using a questionnaire made up of closed and opened questions. Specimens of cloth were collected, identified and analyzed for the water and vapor absorbency and permeability. The identification was done by burning and solubility tests. Results showed that no farmer used adequate protective clothing, they all presented many pesticide-related signs and symptoms such as dizziness, skin irritation, eye-watering and breathing difficulties;the permeation of clothes that they wear is high with high vapor and water absorbency capacity;they were made up with Cotton fiber, blended cotton fibre, wool, polyester and polyethylene;a local laminated fabric manufactured with Tri-acetate fiber was identified with great capacity of protection. This study raised inappropriate characteristics of protective materials used by farmers in Foumbot agricultural area. However, a local fabric was identified to have been adapted to pesticide applications and may be promoted after further study on the comfortability.

We present a methodology for constructing a short-term event risk score in heart failure patients from an ensemble predictor, using bootstrap samples, two different classification rules, logistic regression and linear discriminant analysis for mixed data, continuous or categorical, and random selection of explanatory variables to build individual predictors. We define a measure of the importance of each variable in the score and an event risk measure by an odds-ratio. Moreover, we establish a property of linear discriminant analysis for mixed data. This methodology is applied to EPHESUS trial patients on whom biological, clinical and medical history variables were measured.

Introduction: Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a chronic cerebrovascular disorder characterized by progressive bilateral occlusion of the supraclinoid internal carotid artery (ICA) and its main branches, associated with the development of fine collateral networks, especially adjacent to the site of occlusion in the deep areas of the brain. MMD frequently occurs in East Asian populations, including pediatric and adult patients, and may lead to ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke, headache, epilepsy or transient ischemic attack. The majority is presumed to be of genetic origin and few cases of thrombophilia have been reported in MMD. We report a case of MMD in a young sub-Saharan African woman associated with Hyperhomocysteninemia (HHCys). Observation: A 33-year-old female was seen for aphasia, which had suddenly appeared fourteen days before, and was associated with memory impairment. She mentioned chronic headaches during the 10 previous years, of frontal seat, without migraine criteria. She had no history of hypertension, no obesity, no known dyslipidemia, and there was no family history of stroke. Neurological examination noted Wernicke’s aphasia, with discreet right central facial palsy, associated with memory impairment. The brain MRI revealed semi recent infarct in the left parietal lobe, sequelae in the left temporo-occipital and right frontal with lacunar ischemic lesions, associated with several foci of sub- cortical demyelination. MRA showed stenosis of the supraclinoid carotid arteries and their division branches. In addition, there was a stenosis of the posterior cerebral arteries, with a network of anastomosis at the level of the base of the skull. An investigation of thrombophilia showed hyperhomocysteinemia (HHCys). The diagnosis of moyamoya disease associated with hyperhomocysteinemia was mentioned. In this paper, we aim to solve a two compartmental mathematical model of ordinary differential equations for cardiovascular-respiratory system using a new recent method: Perturbation Iteration method. The description of this method for different order derivatives in the Taylor Series expansion is discussed. This method provides the solution in the form of an infinite series for ordinary differential equation. The efficiency of the method used is investigated by a comparison of Euler method and Runge Kutta. Numerical simulations of all these three methods are implemented in Matlab. The validation has been carried out by taking the values of determinant parameters of cardiovascular-respiratory system for a 30 years old woman who is supposed to make practice of three regular physical activities: Walking, Jogging and Running fast. The results are in good agreement with experimental data.

Dear Editor, The cytosolic protein Tau is naturally present in human neurons, where it has a pivotal role in controlling microtubule stability. Hyperphosphorylation of Tau （observed during neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer＇s disease） impairs the protein＇s ability to bind microtubules. This results in microtubule disassembly and the formation of Tau aggregates, Tau protein is also widely expressed in peripheral tissues. In the male reproductive system, screening for Tau has focused solely on the rodent and bovine testis. In the present study, we used immunofluorescence and immunoenzymatic techniques （with a Tau-specific antibody） to investigate the presence of Tau protein in human ejaculated sperm and testicular tissue.

A novel active contour model is proposed, which incorporates local information distributions in a fuzzy energy function to effectively deal with the intensity inhomogeneity. Moreover, the proposed model is convex with respect to the variable which is used for extracting the contour. This makes the model independent on the initial condition and suitable for an automatic segmentation. Furthermore, the energy function is minimized in a computationally efficient way by calculating the fuzzy energy alterations directly. Experiments are carried out to prove the performance of the proposed model over some existing methods. The obtained results confirm the efficiency of the method.

Macroscale fluorescence imaging is increasingly used to observe biological ***,it may suffer from spectral interferences that originate from ambient light or autofluorescence of the sample or its *** this manuscript,we built a simple and inexpensive fluorescence macroscope,which has been used to evaluate the performance of Speed OPIOM(Out of Phase Imaging after Optical Modulation),which is a reference-free dynamic contrast protocol,to selectively image reversibly photoswitchable fluorophores as labels against detrimental autofluorescence and ambient *** tuning the intensity and radial frequency of the modulated illumination to the Speed OPIOM resonance and adopting a phase-sensitive detection scheme that ensures noise rejection,we enhanced the sensitivity and the signal-to-noise ratio for fluorescence detection in blot assays by factors of 50 and 10,respectively,over direct fluorescence observation under constant ***,we overcame the strong autofluorescence of growth media that are currently used in microbiology and realized multiplexed fluorescence observation of colonies of spectrally similar fluorescent bacteria with a unique configuration of excitation and emission ***,we easily discriminated fluorescent labels from the autofluorescent and reflective background in labeled leaves,even under the interference of incident light at intensities that are comparable to *** proposed approach is expected to find multiple applications,from biological assays to outdoor observations,in fluorescence macroimaging.
