In this work,a series of specimens was prepared by the casting *** cube-textured substrates were processed by heavy cold rolling and recrystallization annealing(i.e.,the rolling-assisted biaxially textured substrates(RABi TS) method).Both the rolling and the recrystallization texture in the alloy tapes were investigated by X-ray diffraction and electron back-scatter diffraction,*** results showed that a strong copper-type deformation texture was obtained in the heavy cold-rolled *** addition,the recrystallization annealing process was found to be very important for the texture transition in the Cu–Ni alloy *** cube texture content in the Cu60 Ni40 alloy substrates reached 99.7%(≤10°) after optimization of the cold-rolling procedure and the recrystallizing heat-treatment process,whereas the content of low-angle grain boundaries(from 2° to 10° misorientation) in the substrate reached 95.1%.

In recent decades,Haiti has been subject to man-made and natural disasters that have left its citizens vulnerable to a range of *** a weak state unable to protect its populace,Haitians are exposed to some of the highest levels of poverty and violence in the Western *** recent years,Haitians have experienced two crises that this study analyzes:the instability and political violence of“peyi lòk”as well as the global pandemic of *** community-based assessment explores the impact of these two crises on the mental health and psychological well-being of 38 Haitian university students in the understudied northern part of the *** indicate that both crises had similarities related to their psychological effects on young people,most notably in terms of traumatic experiences related to threats or violence,forced confinement,and large increases in population-wide ***,the extreme violence of“peyi lòk”and the widespread unpredictability of COVID-19 and its effects in the early days of the pandemic resulted in high levels of stress and *** crises also resulted in extreme economic hardship for students,with many reporting difficulties accessing basic needs such as food and *** study highlights how converging population-level crises in“complex emergencies”can heighten trauma and compromise mental health.

AIM： To assess the long-term clinical benefit of sustained virological response （SVR） in patients with hepatitis C virus （HCV） cirrhosis treated by antiviral therapy using mostly ribavirin plus interferon either standard or ***： One hundred and thirteen patients with uncomplicated HCV biopsy-proven cirrhosis, treated by at least one course of antiviral treatment ≥ 3 mo and followed ≥ 30 mo were included. The occurrence of clinical events [hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC）, decompensation and death] was compared in SVR and non SVR ***： Seventy eight patients received bitherapy and 63 had repeat treatments. SVR was achieved in 37 patients （33%）. During a mean follow-up of 7.7 years, clinical events occurred more frequently in non SVR than in SVR patients, with a significant difference for HCC （24/76 vs 1/37, P = 0.01）. No SVR patient died while 20/76 non-SVR did （P = 0.002）, mainly in relation to HCC （45%）.CONCLUSION： In patients with HCV-related cirrhosis, $VR is associated with a significant decrease in the incidence of HCC and mortality during a follow-up period of 7.7 years. This result is a strong argument to perform and repeat antiviral treatments in patients with compensated cirrhosis.

Suction boxes are used in the paper industry to simultaneously drain a pulp suspension and form a fibre mat （or filter cake）. This research addresses the modelling of fibre deposition in the forming unit of an industrial papermachine, assuming a filtration process, and that of the flowing suspension drained through the building fibre mat and the wire on a suction box. From experimental data of the cumulative drained V volume, per unit surface area, for two vacuum pressures △P and 6 dwell times t, an extension of the classical law （t/V） versus V is proposed, validated and applied. This relation enables determining the average specific filtration resistance of the fibre mat over the box and the mass of solids deposited before and over the suction box. The model obtained is as precise as 1% and can be used to limit and reduce the energy consumption of drainage vacuum assisted devices such as suction boxes in the forming unit of industrial papermachines.

To predict the segregation effect in metal injection moulding (MIM) injection, a bi-phasic model based on mixture theory is adopted in simulation. An explicit algorithm is developed and realized by the authors, which conducts the simulation to be a cost-effective tool in MIM technology. In case of the bi-phasic simulation, the viscosity behaviours are necessary to be determined for the flows of each phase while only the viscosity of mixture is measurable by tests. It is a crucial problem for application of the bi-phasic simulation of MIM injection. A reasonable method is hence analysed and proposed to determine the viscosity behaviours of each phase. Even though this method may be furthermore modified in the future, it results in the practical simulation of segregation effects with reasonable parameters. The simulation results are compared with the measurements on injected specimens.

AIM: To investigate if correction of hypovitaminosis D before initiation of Peg-interferon-alpha/ribavirin(Peg IFN/RBV) therapy could improve the efficacy of Peg IFN/RBV in previously null-responder patients with chronic genotype 1 or 4 hepatitis C virus(HCV) ***:Genotype 1 or 4 HCV-infected patients with null response to previous Peg IFN/RBV treatment and with hypovitaminosis D(<30 ng/m L)prospectively received cholecalciferol 100000 IU per week for 4 wk[from week-4(W-4)to W0],followed by 100000 IUper month in combination with Peg IFN/RBV for 12 mo(from W0 to W48).The primary outcome was the rate of early virological response defined by an HCV RNA<12 IU/m L after 12 wk Peg IFN/RBV ***:A total of 32 patients were included,19(59%)and 13(41%)patients were HCV genotype1 and 4,*** median baseline vitamin D level was 15 ng/m L(range:7-28).In modified intention-to-treat analysis,29 patients who received at least one dose of Peg IFN/RBV were included in the *** patients except one normalized their vitamin D serum *** rate of early virologic response was 0/29(0%).The rate of HCV RNA<12IU/m L after 24 wk of Peg IFN/RBV was 1/27(4%).The safety profile was ***:Addition of vitamin D to Peg IFN/RBV does not improve the rate of early virologic response in previously null-responders with chronic genotype 1or 4 HCV infection.

The study was aimed to examine the need of incorporating traditional weather forecasting renowned indigenous knowledge system (IKS) into modern weather forecasting methods to be used for planning farming activities. In addition, not only gap that is not infused by current weather forecasting system with their advanced studies to understand why it is incorporated into existing technical frameworks was regarded, but also the limitation of advanced weather forecasting approach and strength to be elicited by indigenous knowledge system are crucial. Perspicuously, forms and onsite interrogates have been conducted to assess people’s beliefs, understanding, and attitudes on the indigenous knowledge system significance on weather forecasting. Therefore, atmospheric and biological conditions, astronomic, as well as relief characteristics were used to predict the weather over short and long periods. Usually, in assessing weather conditions, the conduct of animals and insects were listed as essential. Obviously, in order to predict weather particularly from rain within about short period of time, astronomical characteristics were used. Commonly, there are few peers who know conventional weather prediction approaches. This lowers the reliability of conventional weather prediction. The findings revealed some variables that impact meteorological inaccuracy by scientific methods and help to recognize and evaluate the gap that current meteorological technologies do not achieve and new particulars anticipated to be filled with conventional methods to attain accurate weather prediction. Additionally, the study indicated that both modern and conventional processes have certain positive and limitations, which means that they can be coupled to generate more accurate weather prediction reports for end users.
