Early Rwandan communities generally had access to an abundance of forest resources and could naturally enjoy the beauty of landscapes and wild flowering plants among which some were given a symbolic ***,they were slow to take up sedentary ornamental *** the colonial period,unaware of the outdoor flower cultivation techniques, Rwandan families could keep neither pot flowers nor house ***,in terms of cash cropping,export-oriented cut flower production was absent until early 21 ***,with the goal of stimulating increased economic growth,Rwanda sought to promote a range of capital intensive and labor intensive non-traditional export crops,including ornamentals and cut *** this paper,we attempted to compile a list of plant species and cultivars subject to or having the potential of ornamental use,from the foundation of Rwanda as a nation until today and the near future.

具有优美形态和多种观赏价值的园林植物,是园林景观设计中的重要组成部分,其中的绿化植物,如常见的行道树与庭荫树,不仅能为人类提供良好的生态环境,同时也提升了园林景观的品质和舒适度。为了查明迄今为止中国和卢旺达两国之间相互引种的植物资源,并通过已经成功引种的植物种类来挖掘新的引种途径,作者于2008年8月至2011年1月对卢旺达和中国南部城市中心区的观赏植物资源进行了综合分析和多样性调查。此次调查着重对卢旺达四个主要城市(布塔雷、鲁亨盖里、吉塞尼和基加利)和中国海南岛四个城市(海口、儋州、文昌和三亚)的观赏植物资源进行综合比较,同时参考了三个典型的中国南部城市(广州、深圳和九龙[香港])的相关资源信息。此外,作者对中国与卢旺达之间的五个国家(新加坡、印度、坦桑尼亚、乌干达和埃及)的植物区系数据进行了采集和分析。在收集野外数据时,采用GIS技术来测量距离并通过遥感和摄影测量分析来测定绿地覆盖率等。结果表明,四十七种中国本土园林植物已在卢旺达应用,中国南部城市也发现了九种卢旺达本土植物。通过调查首次发现了植物资源的迁移梯度,即物种的数量从中国南部经由马来群岛和东非港口向卢旺达方向递减,这些地区对迁移的物种起到了重要的纽带作用。对于在中国南方发现的卢旺达本土物种,其中大部分是通过海洋或是从埃及和埃塞俄比亚大陆传到中国。针对卢旺达特殊的气候及水文条件,可以引进一些较适合的中国观赏植物,可选择既能观花又可食用的杨桃(Averrhoa carambola)、遮荫效果较好的印度紫檀(Pterocarpus indicus)以及花色艳丽的大花紫薇(Lagerstroemia speciosa)等。另一方面,如果想引进卢旺达的观赏植物,埃塞俄比亚刺桐(Erythrina abyssinica)和卢旺达睡莲(Nymphaea thermarum)则是较为理想的物种。为了提高引种驯化的可持续性并降低成本,新引进的物种应尽量从靠近本国水文地理条件的国家和地区中进行选择。

A population viability analysis(PVA)was conducted of the lowland tapir populations in the Atlantic Forest of the Pontal do Paranapanema region,Brazil,including Morro do Diabo State Park(MDSP)and surrounding forest *** from the model projected that the population of 126 tapirs in MDSP is likely to per-sist over the next 100 years;however,200 tapirs would be required to maintain a viable ***-ity analysis showed that sub-adult mortality and adult mortality have the strongest influence on the dynamics of lowland tapir *** road-kill has a major impact on the MDSP tapir population and can lead to population *** modeling showed that dispersal of tapirs from MDSP to the surrounding fragments can be detrimental to the overall metapopulation,as fragments act as ***,the model showed that under certain conditions the maintenance of the metapopulation dynamics might be determinant for the persistence of tapirs in the region,particularly in the smaller *** establishment of corridors con-necting MDSP to the forest fragments models resulted in an increase in the stochastic growth rate,making ta-pirs more resilient to threats and catastrophes,but only if rates of mortality were not increased when using *** PVA showed that the conservation of tapirs in the Pontal region depends on:the effective protection of MDSP;maintenance and,whenever possible,enhancement of the functional connectivity of the landscape,reducing mortality during dispersal and threats in the unprotected forest fragments;and neutralization of all threats affecting tapirs in the smaller forest fragments.

According to the World Health Organization, diabetes affects approximately 347 million people worldwide. Its management is not within the reach of all social classes, therefore medicinal plants are still the first resort for many populations in Africa. The biological material used in this study was the trunk bark of Guibourtia tessmannii. 50 g of trunk bark powder were decocted in 500 ml of distilled water for 5 minutes were carried out. The method used for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNps) was an organometallic bio-reduction of silver nitrate salts mediated by various secondary metabolites contained in the plant extract. The study of the toxicity acute was conducted according to guideline 423 of the OECD protocol. The pharmacological activities were each carried out with 28 female rats divided into 7 groups of four rats. It was a question for the hypoglycemic activity of administering various doses of silver nanoparticles and other substances to the rats thirty minutes after the carbohydrate intake and for the anti-hyperglycemic activity of administering the same substances to the rats thirty minutes before the carbohydrate intake. The extraction yield was 8.76%. Only the alkaloid test was negative. After acute toxicity study, the LD50 was greater than 2000 mg/kg. Blood sugar tests revealed that glibenclamide 5 mg/kg, which is the reference molecule, lowered blood sugar more than the other treatments applied in the other batches. It was followed by treatment with silver nanoparticles at a dose of 400 μg/kg in both tests. It was therefore concluded that silver nanoparticles from G. tessmannii are good for the formulation of improved traditional medicines and bring up their afficacity .

Dear Editor,Infertility affects about 48.5 million couples worldwide,and a male disorder is estimated to be a causative or contributing factor in 20%-50%of cases.^1 Notably,increasing data support the view that obese men are at higher risk of fertility disorders.^2 As is known,obesity is defined by an excess of white adipose tissue,currently recognized as being able to secrete many endocrinologically active molecules called adipokines.

During the pandemic, technological innovation provided a platform with a range of uses, including in the healthcare industry. Technology is currently being used in vaccination drives run by many governments across the world to help spread vaccines quickly and efficiently. The technology makes healthcare personnel more effective at their professions and greatly raises the standard of service in the industry. The researchers undertook this study to create a suitable and long-lasting immunization database with a mapping method to give a better perspective of the immunization status. To gather essential information for this study, the researchers spoke with the local health officer in the targeted area. The obtained data then served as the basis for the system’s capabilities and features, becoming the target problems addressed by the developers. The investigation found that the majority of procedures and interactions are carried out manually and recorded on an unprotected, antiquated Excel spreadsheet. The researchers’ technology also shows to be a superior way to deal with the problems and difficulties while making their health-related transactions and operations quicker, safer, and much more effective.

食物蛋白诱导性小肠结肠炎综合征（food protein-induced enterocolitis, FPIES）是一种非IgE,细胞介导的食物过敏反应,其表现可以很严重,甚至导致休克。虽然该类过敏反应有潜在的严重性,但FPIES 的知晓率却较低；而且有关FPIES 病理生理学,诊断和治疗的高质量研究数据缺乏；其临床预后尚不明确。这篇国际共识由美国变态反应、哮喘和免疫学会（AAAAI）食物不良反应委员会和国际FPIES 协会宣传组召集组织国际工作组总结撰写。这是第一部基于临床证据的FPIES 国际指南,有助于提高FPIES 的临床诊治水平。当然未来还需要更多有关FPIES 患病率,病理生理学,诊断标志物和未来治疗方法的研究,以便为FPIES 患者提供更好的医疗服务。这些指南内容将会在获得更多证据后定期更新。
