Understanding the electrical transport in carbon nanotube(CNT)materials is one key to reach very high electrical *** CNT material resistivity(ρ(T))as function of the temperature are fully apprehended by their reduced activation W(T)=dln(ρ)/dln(T)*** to now,no model accurately fits W(T)curves,thus preventing from precisely describing the CNT material electrical *** present a new electrical transport model that perfectly fits all W(T)curves found in the literature and in our own *** material resistivities are modeled byρ(T)=ρ0(T^−α+M(1+βTγT^2)).Our model has few enough parameters(α,M,β,γ)to relate them to the CNT *** 70 K,we experimentally show that CNT material resistivity follows the Luttinger Liquid theory justifying the T^−αterm in our *** 70 K,the polynomial part becomes dominant and depends on the two different CNT fabrication techniques which lead to two very different yarn *** yarns made from floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition CNTs,the polynomial is explained by the percolation of metallic CNT ***,the polynomial of yarns spun from CNT arrays is explained by the electrical transport in CNT bundles which are the basic building blocks of this type of yarns.

Background:This study aimed to investigate renal replacement therapy (RRT) practices in a representative nationwide sample of French intensive care units (ICUs).Methods:From July 1 to October 5 2021, 67 French ICUs provided data regarding their ICU and RRT implementation. We used an online questionnaire to record general data about each participating ICU, including the type of hospital, number of beds, staff ratios, and RRT implementation. Each center then prospectively recorded RRT parameters from 5 consecutive acute kidney injury (AKI) patients, namely the indication, type of dialysis catheter used, type of catheter lock used, type of RRT (continuous or intermittent), the RRT parameters initially prescribed (dose, blood flow, and duration), and the anticoagulant agent used for the ***:A total of 303 patients from 67 ICUs were analyzed. Main indications for RRT were oligo-anuria (57.4%), metabolic acidosis (52.1%), and increased plasma urea levels (47.9%). The commonest insertion site was the right internal jugular (45.2%). In 71.0% of cases, the dialysis catheter was inserted by a resident. Ultrasound guidance was used in 97.0% and isovolumic connection in 90.1%. Citrate, unfractionated heparin, and saline were used as catheter locks in 46.9%, 24.1%, and 21.1% of cases, ***:Practices in French ICUs are largely compliant with current national guidelines and international literature. The findings should be interpreted in light of the limitations inherent to this type of study.

Efficient excitation of surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs)remains one of the most challenging issues in areas of plasmonics related to information communication *** particular,combining high SPP excitation efficiency and acceptance of any polarization of incident light appeared to be impossible to attain due to the polarized nature of *** we demonstrate plasmonic couplers that represent arrays of gap SPP resonators producing upon reflection two orthogonal phase gradients in respective linear polarizations of incident *** couplers are thereby capable of efficiently converting incident radiation with arbitrary polarization into SPPs that propagate in orthogonal directions dictated by the phase *** couplers operate at telecom wavelengths and feature the coupling efficiency of,25%for either of two linear polarizations of incident radiation and directivity of SPP excitation exceeding *** further demonstrate that an individual wavelength-sized unit cell,representing a meta-scatterer,can also be used for efficient and polarization sensitive SPP excitation in compact plasmonics circuits.

The White-breasted Thrasher (Ramphocinclus brachyurus) is the smallest passerine bird in the Mimids family. Ranked as “endangered” in the IUCN list, the demographic distribution of this species is spread unevenly across two islands in the Lesser Antilles. The Saint-Lucian subspecies, Ramphocinclus brachyurus sanctaeluciae, was estimated to number between 1200 and 1700 individuals, whereas the Martinique subspecies, Ramphocinclus brachyurus brachyurus, was estimated at between 200 and 400 individuals. As an endemic rare species with a high risk of extinction, the Martinique subspecies should be regarded as a conservation priority. The small size of the Martinique subspecies population, its restricted geographical range, and its narrow habitat tolerance make it quite difficult to study. The variability of morphological traits in this subspecies has not been biostatistically analyzed recently. In order to update knowledge and fill in any gaps, we have used the morphometric approach to study the morphological variability of the Martinique subspecies.
