Apoptosis is an im.ortant process for organism.developm.nt that functions to elim.nate cell dam.ge,m.intain hom.ostasis,and rem.ve obsolete tissues during *** m.m.als,apoptosis is accom.anied by the release of cytochrom. c(cyt-c)from.m.tochondria to the ***,whether this process is conserved in the fruit fly,Drosophila m.lanogaster,rem.ins *** this study,we discovered that during the degradation of Drosophila salivary gland,the transcription of m.tochondria apoptosis factors(m.PFs),cyt-c,and death-associated APAF1-related killer(Dark)encoding genes are all upregulated antecedent to initiator and effector caspases encoding *** proteins cyt-c and the active caspase 3 appear gradually in the cytoplasm.during salivary gland ***,the cyt-c protein colocates with m.to-GFP,the m.rker indicating cytoplasm.c m.tochondria,and the change in m.tochondrial m.m.rane potential coincides with the appearance of cyt-c in the ***,im.eding or prom.ting 20E-induced transcription factor E93 suppresses or enhances the staining of cyt-c and the active caspase 3 in the cytoplasm.of salivary gland,and accordingly decreases or increases the m.tochondrial m.m.rane potential,*** research provides evidence that cytoplasm.c cyt-c appears before apoptosis during Drosophila salivary gland degradation,shedding light on partial conserved m.chanism.in apoptosis between insects and m.m.als.

To overcom. the intrinsic inefficiency of the von Neum.nn architecture,neurom.rphic devices that perform.analog vector–m.trix m.ltiplication have been highlighted for achieving power-and tim.-efficient data *** particular,artificial synapses,of which conductance should be program.ed to represent the synaptic weights of the artificial neural network,have been intensively researched to realize neurom.rphic ***,inspired by excitatory and inhibitory synapses,we develop an artificial optoelectronic synapse that shows both potentiation and depression characteristics triggered only by optical *** design of the artificial optoelectronic synapse,in which excitatory and inhibitory synaptic phototransistors are serially connected,enables these characteristics by spatiotem.orally irradiating the phototransistor channels with optical ***,a negative synaptic weight can be realized without the need for electronic com.onents such as *** such attributes,the artificial optoelectronic synapse is dem.nstrated to classify three digits with a high recognition rate(98.3%)and perform.im.ge preprocessing via analog vector-m.trix m.ltiplication.

m.gnesium.based hydrides have been widely recognized as an appropriate choice for solid-state hydrogen ***,its undesirable therm.dynam.cs and sluggish hydrogenation/dehydrogenation kinetics are m.jor bottlenecks for its ***,a highly stable and highly dispersed Ni-based catalyst(Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)/GN)was fabricated to prom.te the hydrogen storage perform.nce of m.H_(2)via the electrostatic effect of NiAl-LDH/GN precursor with a co-calcination reduction ***_(2)-5wt%Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)/GN exhibits excellent hydrogen storage perform.nce,releasing about 5.7 wt%hydrogen in 3500 s at 250℃,and can reach a saturation hydrogen absorption of about 6.15 wt%in 3000 s at 100℃.Furtherm.re,it also shows low dehydrogenation apparent activation energy of 89.1 and 118.2 kJ·m.l^(-1).Im.ressively,the catalyst ensures the stability of both the physical phase and structure during ball m.lling and cycling *** role of each phase in Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)/GN on the hydrogen storage perform.nce of m.H_(2)was also discussed through experim.nts and theoretical calculation,and the synergistic catalytic m.chanism.of Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)/GN was clearly *** work provides a unique perspective for the preparation of highly stable and highly dispersible catalysts.

OBjecTIVES Stress-related glycem.c indicators,including adm.ssion blood glucose(ABG),stress-hyperglycem.a ratio(SHR),and glycem.c gap(GG),have been associated with worse outcom.s after acute m.ocardial infarction(Am.).However,data regarding their prognostic value in the oldest old with Am. are ***,this study aim.d to investigate the association of stress-related glycem.c indicators with short-and long-term.cardiovascular m.rtality(cVm.in the oldest old(≥80 years)with *** In this prospective study,a total of 933 consecutive old patients with Am. adm.tted to FuWai hospital(Beijing,china)were *** adm.ssion,ABG,SHR,and GG were assessed and all participants were classified according to their ***-m.ier,restricted cubic splines(RcS),and m.ltivariate cox regression analyses were perform.d to evaluate the association between these glycem.c indicators and cVm.within 30 days and long-term.*** During an average of 1954 patient-years of follow-up,a total of 250 cardiovascular deaths were ***-m.ier analyses showed the lowest cVm.in quartile 1 of ABG and in quartile 2 of SHR and *** adjusting for potential covariates,patients in quartile 4 of ABG,SHR,and GG had a respective 1.67-fold(95%cI:1.03-2.69;P=0.036),1.80-fold(95%cI:1.16-2.79;P=0.009),and 1.78-fold(95%cI:1.14-2.79;P=0.011)higher risk of long-term.cVm.risk com.ared to those in the reference groups(quartile 1 of ABG and quartile 2 of SHR and GG).Furtherm.re,RcS suggested a J-shaped relationship of ABG and a Ushaped association of SHR and GG with long-term.***,we observed sim.lar associations of these acute glycem.c param.ters with 30-day *** Our data first indicated that SHR and GG consistently had a U-shaped association with both 30-day and longterm.cVm.am.ng the oldest old with Am.,suggesting that they m.y be useful for risk stratification in this special population.

BAcKGROUND There is concern regarding potential long-term.cardiotoxicity with system.c distribution of m.tals in total joint arthroplasty(TJA)*** To determ.ne the association of com.only used im.lant m.tals with echocardiographic m.asures in TJA *** The study com.rised 110 TJA patients who had a recent history of high chrom.um.cobalt or titanium.*** underwent two-dim.nsional,three-dim.nsional,Doppler and speckle-strain transthoracic echocardiography and a blood draw to m.asure m.tal *** and sex-adjusted linear and logistic regression m.dels were used to exam.ne the association of m.tal concentrations(exposure)with echocardiographic m.asures(outcom.).RESULTS Higher cobalt concentrations were associated with increased left ventricular end-diastolic volum.(estim.te 5.09;95%cI:0.02-10.17)as well as left atrial and right ventricular dilation,particularly in m.n but no changes in cardiac *** titanium.concentrations were associated with a reduction in left ventricle global longitudinal strain(estim.te 0.38;95%cI:0.70 to 0.06)and cardiac index(estim.te 0.08;95%cI,-0.15 to-0.01).cONcLUSION Elevated cobalt and titanium.concentrations m.y be associated with structural and functional cardiac changes in som. *** studies are warranted to better understand the system.c effects of m.tals in TJA patients.
