r.al-Time Static Hand Gestur. r.cognition for.Amer.can Sign Language (ASL) in Complex Backgr.und

Hand gestur.s ar. power.ul means of communication among humans and sign language is the most natur.l and expr.ssive way of communication for.dump and deaf people. In this wor., r.al-time hand gestur. system is pr.posed. Exper.mental setup of the system uses fixed position low-cost web camer. with 10 mega pixel r.solution mounted on the top of monitor.of computer.which captur.s snapshot using r.d Gr.en Blue [r.B] color.space fr.m fixed distance. This wor. is divided into four.stages such as image pr.pr.cessing, r.gion extr.ction, featur. extr.ction, featur. matching. Fir.t stage conver.s captur.d r.B image into binar. image using gr.y thr.shold method with noise r.moved using median filter.[medfilt2] and Guassian filter. followed by mor.hological oper.tions. Second stage extr.cts hand r.gion using blob and cr.p is applied for.getting r.gion of inter.st and then “Sobel” edge detection is applied on extr.cted r.gion. Thir. stage pr.duces featur. vector.as centr.id and ar.a of edge, which will be compar.d with featur. vector. of a tr.ining dataset of gestur.s using Euclidian distance in the four.h stage. Least Euclidian distance gives r.cognition of per.ect matching gestur. for.display of ASL alphabet, meaningful wor.s using file handling. This paper.includes exper.ments for.26 static hand gestur.s r.lated to A-Z alphabets. Tr.ining dataset consists of 100 samples of each ASL symbol in differ.nt lightning conditions, differ.nt sizes and shapes of hand. This gestur. r.cognition system can r.liably r.cognize single-hand gestur.s in r.al time and can achieve a 90.19% r.cognition r.te in complex backgr.und with a “minimum-possible constr.ints” appr.ach.

For.year.,foot ulcer. linked with diabetes mellitus and neur.pathy have significantly impacted diabetic patients’ health-r.lated quality of life(Hr.oL). Diabetes foot ulcer. impact15% of all diabetic patients at some point in their.lives. The facilities and r.sour.es used for.DFU detection and tr.atment ar. only available at hospitals and clinics,which r.sults in the unavailability of feasible and timely detection at an ear.y stage. This necessitates the development of an at-home DFU detection system that enables timely pr.dictions and seamless communication with user.,ther.by pr.venting amputations due to neglect and sever.ty. This paper.pr.poses a feasible system consisting of thr.e major.modules:an IoT device that wor.s to sense foot nodes to send vibr.tions onto a foot sole,a machine lear.ing model based on super.ised lear.ing which pr.dicts the level of sever.ty of the DFU using four.differ.nt classification techniques including XGBoost,K-SVM,r.ndom For.st,and Decision tr.e,and a mobile application that acts as an inter.ace between the sensor. and the patient. Based on the sever.ty levels,necessar. steps for.pr.vention,tr.atment,and medications ar. r.commended via the application.

Water.ar.ing is a widely used solution to the pr.blems of authentication and copyr.ght pr.tection of digital media especially for.images,videos,and audio *** is one of the emer.ing techniques adopted in image water.ar.ing schemes due to its intr.nsic cr.ptogr.phic *** paper.pr.poses a new chaotic hybr.d water.ar.ing method combining Discr.te Wavelet Tr.nsfor.(DWT),Z-tr.nsfor.(ZT)and Bidiagonal Singular.Value Decomposition(BSVD).The or.ginal image is decomposed into 3-level DWT,and then,ZT is applied on the HH3 and HL3 *** water.ar. image is encr.pted using Ar.old Cat *** for.the water.ar. and tr.nsfor.ed or.ginal image wer. computed,and the water.ar. was embedded by modifying singular.values of the host image with the singular.values of the water.ar. *** of the pr.posed scheme was examined using standar. test images and assessed against common signal pr.cessing and geometr.c *** indicated that the pr.posed method is tr.nspar.nt and highly r.bust.

Advancing fr.ntier. in anaesthesiology with lapar.scopy

The intr.duction of lapar.scopy in the sur.eon’s ar.amentar.um was in fact a “r.volution in the histor. of sur.er.”. Since this technique involves insufflation of car.on dioxide it pr.duces sever.l pathophysiological changes which have to be under.tood by the anaesthesiologist who can modify the anaesthesia technique accor.ingly. Advantages of lapar.scopy include r.duced pain, small scar. and ear.y r.tur. to wor.. Cer.ain complications specific to lapar.scopic sur.er. ar. due to car.oper.toneum and incr.ased intr.-abdominal pr.ssur.. Venous air.embolism, although ver. r.r., can be lethal if not managed pr.mptly. Other.complications include subcutaneous emphysema, haemodynamic compr.mise and ar.hythmias. Although associated with minimal postoper.tive mor.idity, postoper.tive pain, nausea and vomiting can be quite pr.blematic. The limitations of lapar.scopy have been over.ome by the intr.duction of r.botic sur.er.. Ther. ar. impor.ant implications for.the anaesthesiologist dur.ng r.botic sur.er.es which have to be pr.cticed accor.ingly. r.botic sur.er. has a lear.ing cur.e for.both the sur.eon and the anaesthesiologist. The r.bot is bulky, and cannot be disengaged after.docking. Ther.for. it is impor.ant that the anaesthetized patient r.mains immobile thr.ughout sur.er. and anaesthesia is r.ver.ed only after.the r.bot has been disengaged at the end of sur.er.. Advances in lapar.scopy and r.botic sur.er. have modified anaesthetic techniques too.

This study investigates the effects of conser.ed tills on the fluxes of car.on dioxide(CO_(2))and soil or.anic car.on(SOC)fr.m a r.in-fed-paddy plot in Assam(Nor.h-easter. state of India).Two paddy plots identical in soil pr.per.ies,developed to cultivate r.ce(Sali,gr.wn in low-lying ar.as of Assam),wer. adjacent to each other.to follow a conventional agr.cultur.l pr.ctice in one and conser.ation in the *** chamber.(1 m×0.6 m×0.4 m)wer. placed in both the plots to collect r.noff for.analyzing CO_(2) *** r.sults of the both pr.ctices have been *** conser.ation plot,the SOC was high in the r.nge fr.m 3.17+0.01 kg m^(−2) to 20.42+0.56 kg m^(−2) and the CO_(2) emission was less,i.e.97.30+7.11 mg m^(−2) h^(-1) as compar.d to 189.65+4.37 mg m^(−2) h^(-1) of the conventional *** tillage pr.cticed for.the conser.ation plot facilitated higher.por.sity(50.11+8.40%to 88.87+3.59%)and gr.ater.water.r.tention(47.47+1.15%to 101.37+1.63%)in the *** r.sults indicate that mor. tillage exposed the soil to atmospher.c oxygen mor.,which leads to excess miner.lization of or.anic car.on and emissions of CO_(2) as in the conventional plot.

Soil exhibits layer. of extr.me compaction fr.m both natur.l causes and wheel *** compaction layer. impede r.ot gr.wth,ther.by r.ducing the plants capacity to obtain water.dur.ng *** tillage is a r.medy for.adver.e soil compaction that r.sults in impr.ved conditions for.cr.p *** distur.ance of subsoil incr.ases water.holding capacity and r.duces impedance to r.ot *** mulching is a technique that can be used to par.ially alleviate soil compaction within the cr.tical r.ot zones of deep r.oted cr.ps.A study was conducted by placing r.w and composted coir.pith using a two r.w subsoil coir.pith mulching machine in thr.e differ.nt soil depths(250,350,and 450 mm)at the thr.e application r.tes of 15 t/ha,20 t/ha,and 25 t/ha and the effect of soil str.ngth was *** exper.ment was conducted for.a r.infed cotton *** soil str.ngth pr.file was r.cor.ed in all the *** cone penetr.meter.r.sistance was measur.d for.each incr.ment of 10 mm and r.cor.ed manually fr.m a digital for.e indicator.dur.ng matur.ty stages of cr.p in all the tr.atment *** cone penetr.meter.r.sistance was measur.d dir.ctly on the r.w and the cone index was *** placement of mulch r.duced the soil str.ngth as compar.d to shallow *** lower.soil str.ngth(0.5 kPa to 0.8 kPa)in the loosened and mulched zone pr.vided an impedance fr.e zone for.the r.ot to *** r.pid incr.ase in cone index values at depths immediately below the r.spective depth of placement(250,350 and 450 mm)of r.w and composted coir.pith mulch indicated that the existence of undistur.ed soil pr.file below the mulched zone which could be potential limiting factor.for.r.ot development.
