Smart grid is envisaged as a power grid that is extremely reliable and *** electrical grid has wide-area measuring devices like Phasor measurement units(PmUs)deployed to provide real-time grid information and resolve issues effectively and speedily without compromising system *** development and application of machine learning approaches for power system protection and state estimation have been facilitated by the availability of measurement *** research proposes a transmission line fault detection and classification(FD&C)system based on an auto-encoder neural network.A comparison between a multi-Layer Extreme Learning machine(mL-ELm)network model and a Stacked Auto-Encoder neural network(SAE)is ***,the performance of the models developed is compared to that of state-of-the-art classifier models employing feature datasets acquired by wavelet transform based feature extraction as well as other deep learning *** substantially shorter testing time,the suggested auto-encoder models detect faults with 100% accuracy and classify faults with 99.92% and 99.79%*** computational efficiency of the mL-ELm model is demonstrated with high accuracy of classification with training time and testing time less than 50 *** emulate real system scenarios the models are developed with datasets with noise with signal-to-noise-ratio(SNR)ranging from 10 dB to 40 *** efficacy of the models is demonstrated with data from the IEEE 39 bus test system.

The competitiveness of the small gas turbine units (GTUs) (Nemarket is dependent on bath the maintenance expenses and the capital costs of production. Reduction in the maintenance expenditures could be achieved by increasing the plant efficiency. This task could be solved by some methods: increasing the cycle inlet temperature TIT, getting the cycle more complex (use of heat regeneration and compressed air intermediate cooling), cutting the power consumption on heat-stressed parts cooling. Putting the above into effect is linked with introduction of novel structural materials, a sharp increase in the mass-size values and the plant manufacture expenditures, in particular, at provision of its self-regulation. In connection with the above, the development of the combined metal-ceramic airheaters and standardization of the elemental basis of the metal gas-gas heat exchangers will promote reduction in the expenditures of the maintenance and the manufacture of the small-size independent power GTEs.

Etiology of invasive candidosis agents in Russia： a multicenter epidemiological survey

A multicenter prospective epidemiological survey on the etiologic agents of invasive candidosis was conducted in Russia in the period of 2012-2014. Samples were collected from 284 patients with invasive candidosis and Candida species isolated by culture. The species were identified by DNA sequencing and mALDI-TOF mass- spectrometry. A total of 322 isolates were recovered, in which 96% of Candida species belonged to six major species, namely, C. albicans （43.2%）, C. parapsilosis （20.2%）, C. glabrata （11.5%）, C. tropicalis （9.6%）, C. krusei （6.2%）, and C. guilliermondii （5.3%）. most Candida species were isolated from blood samples （83.23%）. Notably, the prevalence rate of C. albicans reduced from 52.38% to 32.79% （2012 vs. 2014）（P = 0.01） whereas that of non-C. albicans increased from 47.62% （2012） to 67.21% （2014）（P〈 0.01）. Species distribution differed among geographical regions; specifically, the prevalence rate of C. albicans as an etiologic agent of invasive candidosis in Siberian Federal region was significantly higher than that in other Federal regions. Results indicated a shift from C. albicans to non-C, albicans. Therefore, a detailed investigation on the contributing factors and appropriate treatment of invasive candidosis is needed.

Investigation on purification of saturated LiNO3 solution using titanium phosphate ion-exchanger: Equilibrium study

The high-purity lithium compounds are needed， but some inorganic impurities occurring at trace level can affect functional properties of target products. Thus， the development of reliable methods for lithium salts purification is considered as a key factor for their industrial application. Sorption properties of titanium phosphate ion-exchanger （Li-TiOP） towards Cu2+， Co2+， mn2+， Ni2+， and Cr3+ions in saturated LiNO3solution have been investigated. Solid samples were characterized by XRD， SEm， TG， DSC， NGSP， and elemental analysis. Concentrations of elements in the solutions were determined by AAS and ICP mS methods. The adsorption isotherms for studied metal ions were considered using the Langmuir， Freundlich， Temkin， and Nikolsky models. Necessity for allowing for the solvated state of the sorbate is shown in studying the sorption of metal ions. Selectivity of Li-TiOP towards studied ions is found to be described in the following order: Cr3+> Cu2+> mn2+> Co2+> Ni2+for all models. The change in the thermodynamic parameters of the sorption process is associated with the change in the ionic potential of the sorbent. Titanium phosphate effectively rem.v.s trace concentrations of metal ions from multi-component solutions resulting in achievement of LiNO3purity level of > 99.999 wt.%.

Era of Barrett’s surveillance: Does equipment matter?

Barrett’s esophagus is a consequence of long standing gastro-esophageal reflux disease and predisposes to the development of esophageal adenocarcinoma. Regular surveillance endoscopies can detect curable early neoplasia in asymptomatic patients, which in turn could improve the prognosis compared to symptomatic cancer. Early neoplastic lesions, which are amenable for local therapy, could be treated endoscopically, avoiding a major surgery. However, in the absence of obvious mucosal lesions, random four quadrant biopsies are done, which is associated with significant sampling error. Newer imaging modalities, such as autofluorescence endoscopy, are helpful in detecting subtle lesions that could be examined in detail with narrow band imaging to characterize and target biopsies. This has the potential benefit of reducing the number of random biopsies with a better yield of dysplasia. Confocal endomicroscopy provides "optical biopsies" and is a valuable tool in targeting biopsies to improve dysplasia detection; however, this is technically challenging. Fuji intelligent chromoendoscopy and I-Scan are recent additions to the imaging armamentarium that have produced notable early results. While all these additional new imaging techniques are promising, a thorough examination by high resolution white light endoscopy after clearing the mucosa with mucolytics should be the minimum standard to improve dysplasia detection during Barrett’s surveillance.

There are reviewed some experimental results on metal-hydrogen and PdH x -hydrogen interaction. There is experimentally shown that penetration of hydrogen in palladium is accompanied with strong and micro structural effects, as well as grain shifts, etc. moreover, the hydrogen saturation of palladium causes form-changing (bending) of palladium plate. These effects, undoubtedly, must be taken in account in technologies of low-temperature diffusion membrane apparatus exploitation.

HyCi doctrine is overcoming boundaries between different sciences, between peoples and nations. Hydrogen civilization is a public ideal ('superattractor') putting in the forefront Shakespeare's Hamlet question on a global scale: "To be or not to be the humankind: that is the question".

Dielectric and Thermal Studies of Copper Doped magnesium Hydrogen maleate Hexahydrate Single Crystals

The dielectric and thermal analysis of copper doped magnesium Hydrogen maleate Hexahydrate single crystals are studied for the first time. The dielectric constant, loss tangent, a.c. conductivity and a.c. activation energy were measured with variation of frequency in the range 50 Hz to 1 mHz. Dielectric studies reveal that the present crystal under investigation show good optical quality. The melting point and final compound after decomposition were determined using the DTA/TG analysis.
