Paleoproterozoic Bijawars of the Sonrai basin consists of(a) Sonrai(mostly carbonate carbonaceous shale and phosphatic breccia) and(b) Solda Formations(commonly chloritic and ferruginous shale) with well-developed clay-organo-rich facies,often marked with hydrothermal *** studies revealed abundance order of kaolinite> chlorite> illite> smectite;and kaolinite> illite> chlorite in clay(0.2-2.0 μm) fractions separated from the Sonrai and Solda Formations,*** understand atomic substitutions and trace elemental concentrations,clay minerals were analyzed by fusion ICPMS and *** normalized data plots show U,Th,Rb,Ba,Pb Sr,and large-ion lithophiles enrichment,whereas,Bandai sandstone and Rohini carbonate clays show HREE enrichment with asymmetrical patterns,similar to those reported from the well-established McArthur River,Cigar Lake,and Sue UTUD of *** Rohni carbonate,chondrite-normalized REE data plots revealed M shape REE patterns,ascribed to Gd-Tb-Dy-Ho tetrad effect and anomalous Y,Zr,and Hf *** to HREE incorporation in the clay inter-layers,linear and flattened REE trends were *** REE patterns associated with the highly altered chlorite and illite represent negative Eu anomaly related to the dilational nature of the uraninite structure and is suggestive of anoxic conditions.

The characteristics of tumour development and metastasis relate not only to genomic heterogeneity but also to spatial heterogeneity,associated with variations in the intratumoural arrangement of cell populations,vascular morphology and oxygen and nutrient *** optical(photonic)microscopy is commonly employed to visualize the tumour microenvironment,it assesses only a few hundred cubic microns of ***,it is not suitable for investigating biological processes at the level of the entire tumour,which can be at least four orders of magnitude *** this study,we aimed to extend optical visualization and resolve spatial heterogeneity throughout the entire tumour *** developed an optoacoustic(photoacoustic)mesoscope adapted to solid tumour imaging and,in a pilot study,offer the first insights into cancer optical contrast heterogeneity in vivo at an unprecedented resolution of<50μm throughout the entire tumour *** spectral methods,we resolve unknown patterns of oxygenation,vasculature and perfusion in three types of breast cancer and showcase different levels of structural and functional *** our knowledge,these results are the most detailed insights of optical signatures reported throughout entire tumours in vivo,and they position optoacoustic mesoscopy as a unique investigational tool linking microscopic and macroscopic observations.

Background: Frey’s procedure involves both drainage and resection of the pancreas in subjects with chronic calcific pancreatitis(CCP). The procedure may affect the pancreatic endocrine function after surgery. The present study was to evaluate the effect of Frey’s procedure on both beta and alpha cell function in CCP ***: Thirty CCP patients who underwent Frey’s procedure were included. According to the glycemic status, patients were divided into the diabetes mellitus(DM), prediabetes, and normal glucose tolerance(NGT) groups. Islet cell function was assessed before and 3 months after ***: At baseline, there was a significant difference in beta cell function among the three groups [NGT group 1.71(1.64–2.07) vs prediabetes group1.50(0.83–1.61) vs DM group 0.33(0.12–0.55), P < 0.0001], but the insulin resistance was not different among them. Post glucose hyperglucagonemia representing alphacell dysfunction during oral glucose tolerance test was present in all of them, but showed no significant difference [NGT group 0.15(0.06–0.31) vs prediabetes group 0.32(0.05–0.70) vs DM group 0.07(0.02–0.18), P = 0.20]. Frey’s procedure did not change beta cell function and insulin resistance. However, alphacell dysfunction deteriorated after surgery [0.10(0.03–0.27) vs 0.33(0.09–0.68), P = 0.004].Conclusions: Although Frey’s procedure does not affect the beta cell function and insulin resistance in CCP patients, the alpha-cell dysfunction deteriorates after surgery.

Consistency and asymptotic normality of the sieve estimator and an approximate maximum likelihood estimator of the drift coefficient of an interacting particles of diffusions are studied. For the sieve estimator, observations are taken on a fixed time interval [0,T] and asymptotics are studied as the number of interacting particles increases with the dimension of the sieve. For the approximate maximum likelihood estimator, discrete observations are taken in a time interval [0,T] and asymptotics are studied as the number of interacting particles increases with the number of observation time points.

Mineralogy and geochemistry of trachytic rocks from the Lichi Volcanics, Eastern Himalaya: insights into the Kerguelen mantle plume activity in the Eastern Himalayan Region

The Lichi volcanics are a suite of mafic-intermediate-felsic rocks and are considered coeval with the Abor volcanics(~132 Ma) of the Siang window in the Eastern Himalaya. Here, we present the first report of trachytic rocks from the Lichi volcanics, which are exposed in the Ranga valley, along the Kimin-Yazali road section in the Eastern Himalayan Region, Northeast India. The trachytes occur in close association with sandstones of the Gondwana Group of rocks and are characterised based on field, petrographical, and geochemical *** fine-grained trachytes are composed of alkali feldspar, biotite, plagioclase, sodic-amphibole, apatite, illmenite, and titanite. The REE profiles of the evolved trachytic rocks(higher SiO_(2)content) display fractionated trends. The fractionation of accessory mineral phases, like apatite and titanite, was possibly responsible for the strongly fractionated REE patterns of the evolved *** trachytic rocks demonstrate high apatite saturation temperatures of 988 ± 14 ℃(1σ, n = 8). The Aluminium Saturation Index(< 1.1) and binary discrimination diagrams of these peralkaline trachytes define their affinity with A-type granitoids. Elemental ratios like Y/Nb, Nb/U,and Ce/Pb signify that the Lichi trachytes are differentiated products of mantle-derived ocean island basalts. Trace elemental discrimination diagrams Th/Yb versus Nb/Yb, Y versus Nb, and Y + Nb versus Rb reflect a within-plate tectonic regime for the trachytes. From the results presented in this work, we infer that the development of rifting events during the breakup of eastern Gondwana due to the onset of Kerguelen plume activity further led to underplating of basic magma in lower crustal levels. This paper presents a comprehensive techno-economic and environmental impact analysis of electric two-wheeler batteries in India. The technical comparison reveals that sodium-ion (Na-ion) and lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries outperform lead-acid batteries in various parameters, with Na-ion and Li-ion batteries exhibiting higher energy densities, higher power densities, longer cycle lives, faster charge rates, better compactness, lighter weight and lower self-discharge rates. In economic comparison, Na-ion batteries were found to be similar to 12-14% more expensive than Li-ion batteries. However, the longer lifespans and higher energy densities of Na-ion and Li-ion batteries can offset their higher costs through improved performance and long-term savings. Lead-acid batteries have the highest environmental impact, while Li-ion batteries demonstrate better environmental performance and potential for recycling. Na-ion batteries offer promising environmental advantages with their abundance, lower cost and lower toxic and hazardous material content. Efficient recycling processes can further enhance the environmental benefits of Na-ion batteries. Overall, this research examines the potential of Na-ion batteries as a cheaper alternative to Li-ion batteries, considering India's abundant sodium resources in regions such as Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and others.
