＜正＞Spraying is one of the most efficient methods for pesticide and insecticide control. Generally, Speed Sprayer （Air carrier sprayer） is used for spraying in Korea when Speed Sprayer is used but chemical deposition amount on crops is only 20% of total spraying amount. Agricultural chemicals which fail to reach the crops not only cause environmental contamination but losses of agricultural chemicals by lower deposition efficiency. In this research, laboratory test was carried out to determine the optimum design conditions of electrostatic agricultural nozzles for orchard applications. Parameters studied were type of electrode, the diameter of nozzle, and tilt angle of metal leaf. The results showed that the coverage area ratios and number of droplets for electrostatic nozzle were increased proportionally with the charging voltage. however, it appeared those electrical potentials higher than 4.5kV caused electrical discharge between nozzle body and electrode. Electrostatic nozzles resulted in significantly higher coverage area ratios than that of conventional nozzles. The optimum nozzle diameter and charging voltage in pin type electrode were found to be 0.59 mm and 4.0 kV, respectively.

Pathological bone loss is caused by an imbalance between bone formation and *** bone microenvironments are hypoxic,and hypoxia-inducible factor (hIF) is known to play notable roles in bone ***,the relevant functions of hIF-2α are not well ***,we have shown that hIF-2α deficiency in mice enhances bone mass through its effects on the differentiation of osteoblasts and *** vitro analyses revealed that hIF-2α inhibits osteoblast differentiation by targeting Twist2 and stimulates RANKL-induced osteoclastogenesis via regulation of *** addition,hIF-2α appears to contribute to the crosstalk between osteoblasts and osteoclasts by directly targeting RANKL in osteoprogenitor *** performed with osteoblast- and osteoclast-specific conditional knockout mice supported a role of hIF-2α in this ***-2α deficiency alleviated ovariectomy-induced bone loss in mice,and specific inhibition of hIF-2α with ZINC04179524 significantly blocked RANKLmediated ***,our results suggest that hIF-2α functions as a catabolic regulator in bone remodeling,which is critical for the maintenance of bone homeostasis.

This study attempted to identify the level of exposure of 350 subjects to the extremely low-frequency magnetic field(ELF-MF).The occupational group showed significantly high levels of ELF-MF in every exposure indicator during work and transportation(phe members of the occupational group were exposed to over 2mG and 4 mG,respectively,of ELF-MF during"all"*** 24-h ELF-MF exposure levels of the subjects in both groups were *** the occupational group,for every activity,the percentile for less than 2mG corresponded to 100%of C-4(agriculture),95%of C-1(professional),97%of C-2(engineer,office/sales),81%of C-3(services),85%of C-5(technician,labor management),and 50%of C-6(electrician).In the non-occupational group,the percentile for less than 2mG corresponded to 92%of students,83%of homemakers,81%of the elderly,and 88%of the *** percentile for over 4mG was 5%for students,homemakers,and the elderly and 13%of the *** and the unemployed had the highest ELF-MF levels in both groups,*** were exposed to ELF-MF mostly at work,while the unemployed subjects were most affected by the activities classified under sleep and transportation.

AIM: Taraxacum officinale (TO) has been frequently used as a remedy for inflammatory diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of TO on cholecystokinin (CCK)-octapeptide-induced acute pancreatitis in ***: TO at 10 mg/kg was orally administered, followed by 75 μg/kg CCK octapeptide injected subcutaneously three times after 1, 3 and 5 h. This whole procedure was repeated for 5 d. We determined the pancreatic weight/body weight ratio, the levels of pancreatic hSP60 and hSP72, and the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Repeated CCK octapeptide treatment resulted in typical laboratory and morphological changes of experimentally-induced ***: TO significantly decreased the pancreatic weight/body weight ratio in CCK octapeptide-induced acute pancreatitis. TO also increased the pancreatic levels of hSP60 and hSP72. Additionally, the secretion of IL-6 and TNF-α decreased in the animals treated with ***: TO may have a protective effect against CCK octapeptide-induced acute pancreatitis.

AIM: To investigate the protective effects of electroacupuncture (EA) pretreatment on acetylsalicylic acid (ASA)-induced ulceration in rats. METhODS: We randomly divided 72 rats into three groups including control (administered with distilled water), ASA group (administered 100 mg/kg ASA) and EA group (administered EA + 100 mg/kg ASA). Each rat was fasted for 18 to 24 h before experimentation, and lesion scores, gastric acidity, cyclooxygenase (COX)-1 and -2 mRNA levels, and total nitric oxide (NO) concentration were measured. RESULTS: The lesion scores of the EA group were significantly lower than those of the ASA group. Gastric acidity of the ASA and EA groups was reduced compared to the control group. COX-1 and -2 mRNA levels were significantly increased in the EA group as compared to the control and ASA groups, and NO levels were also significantly increased in the EA group as compared to the ASA group. CONCLUSION: These results suggest that EA-mediated protection against ASA-induced ulceration in rats may occur via gastric defense components.

AIM:To compare the effectiveness of sequential therapy for helicobacter pylori(***) infection with that of triple therapy of varying ***:The 460 patients enrolled in this study had ***-associated gastritis or a gastric or duodenal *** screening,***-infected patients were randomly assigned to receive either conventional triple therapy for 7,10 or 14 d,or a new 10-d sequential *** of the 4 treatment groups included 115 *** outcomes of eradication therapy were assessed 4 wk after treatment by the urea breath test and ***:The overall eradication rate was 81.0%,and eradication rates were 75.7% for 7-d conventional triple therapy,81.9% for 10-d conventional triple therapy,84.4% for 14-d conventional triple therapy,and 82.0% for 10-d sequential *** intention-to-treat analysis nor per protocol analysis showed significant differences in eradication rates using sequential therapy or the standard triple therapy(P = 0.416 and P = 0.405,respectively).CONCLUSION:There are no significant differences between 10-d sequential eradication therapy for *** and any duration of standard triple treatment in Korean patients.

The shift of dark-grown seedlings into light causes enormous transcriptome changes followed by a dramatic developmental ***,we show that microRNA(miRNA)biogenesis also undergoes regulatory changes during *** seedlings maintain low levels of primary miRNAs(pri-miRNAs)and miRNA processing core proteins,such as Dicer-like 1,SERRATE,and hYPONASTIC LEAVES 1,whereas during de-etiolation both pri-miRNAs and the processing components accumulate to high ***,the levels of most miRNAs do not notably increase in response to *** reconcile this inconsistency,we demonstrated that an unknown suppressor decreases miRNA-processing activity and light-induced SMALL RNA DEGRADING NUCLEASE 1 shortens the half-life of several miRNAs in de-etiolated *** together,these data suggest a novel mechanism,miRNA-biogenetic inconsistency,which accounts for the intricacy of miRNA biogenesis during *** mechanism is essential for the survival of de-etiolated seedlings after long-term skotomorphogenesis and their optimal adaptation to ever-changing light conditions.
