Outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 virus have occurred in Vietnam since 2003. However, how people got avian H5N1 infection in Northern Vietnam is still unclear. We therefore performed a combination of the serologic assays H5N1 ELISA and H5 western blot to detect anti-H5N1 specific antibodies. Sera samples of 149 subjects with suspected H5N1 infection from three provinces of Northern Vietnam were collected from September 2006 to March 2007. Our results indicated that this combinational assay showed high sensitivity (100%) and specificity (95%) when compared with hemagglutinin inhibition (HI) assay. Fifty-one sera samples (34.2%) contained specific antibodies against H5N1 viruses. Poultry raisers (32/77;41.6%) showed higher H5N1 infection rates than slaughterers (12/41;29.3%) and health care workers (7/31;22.6%). Contact history with sick or dead poultry in household or slaughter-house (p < 0.05) and lack of protective equipment use when in contact with dead poultry (p < 0.05) were risk factors found to be associated with H5N1 infection. In this study, we established an alternative serologic assay for H5N1 diagnosis, and we hereby present seroepidemiologic data of H5N1 infection in Northern Vietnam.

Mapping the mass concentration of near-surface atmospheric particulate matter(PM)using satellite observations has become a popular research niche,leading to the development of a variety of instruments,algorithms,and datasets over the past two *** this study,we conducted a holistic review of the major advances and challenges in quantifying PM,with a specific focus on instruments,algorithms,datasets,and modeling methods that have been developed over the past 20 *** aim of this study is to provide a general guide for future satellite-based PM concentration mapping practices and to better support air quality monitoring and management of environmental ***,we review the evolution of satellite platforms,sensors,inversion algorithms,and datasets that can be used for monitoring aerosol *** then compare various practical methods and techniques that have been used to estimate PM mass concentrations and group them into four primary categories:(1)univariate regression,(2)chemical transport models(CTM),(3)multivariate regression,and(4)empirical physical *** the main challenges encountered in PM mapping practices,for example,data gaps and discontinuity,a hybrid method is proposed with the aim of generating PM concentration maps that are both spatially continuous and have high precision.

The coexistence of multiple methods has become a general trend in tidal level monitoring, especially the Global Navigation Satellite System Interferometric Reflectometry(GNSS-IR) technology and satellite altimetry technology provide a richer database for sea level monitoring. Few studies have carried out the comparison of tidal level accuracy obtained by the two *** on this, this study takes BUR2 station as an example to carry out the research on tidal level monitoring of GNSS-IR and satellite altimetry(HY-2B and jason-3), and compares them with the measured tidal level data provided by the tidal gauge station(BURTG). First, unify the respective time bases to Coordinated Universal Time(UTC) and the elevation base to Tide Gauge Zero(TGZ). Then, the characteristics of the two methods to monitor the tidal level are compared and analyzed. GNSS-IR technology has higher temporal resolution(R: 0.957, RMSE: 0.257 m, ME:-0.008 m, Number: 73936), while HY-2B(R: 0.994, RMSE: 0.105 m, ME: 0.025 m, Number: 178) and jason-3(R: 0.995, RMSE: 0.113 m, ME:-0.040 m, Number: 461) have higher inversion accuracy. This study explored the respective characteristics of GNSS-IR technology and satellite altimetry technology for tidal level monitoring, laying a foundation for the subsequent integration of tidal level monitoring.

The length of day series during the period of 1962.0–2000.0, the atmospheric angular momentum and the Southern Oscillation Index are adopted to analyze the relationships among the ENSO events that have occurred since 1960, the changes in the length of day and the atmospheric angular momentum. Attention is particularly given to the different effects of the 1982–1983 and 1997–1998 ENSO events on the variations of Earth rotation. The synthetic excitation effects of multi-scale atmospheric oscillations on the anomalous variations of the interannual rates of Earth rotation are revealed by means of the time-frequency spectrum of the wavelet transform.

We present preliminary calibration results for jason-3 and Sentinel-3A altimeters that we set up in the Wanshan Islands in Guandong Province,*** campaigns were carried out in 2018,from March 8 to April 16 and from November 3 to December 11,*** GPS reference stations and tide gauges were established on the islands of Zhiwan,Dangan,and Wailingding during the *** in-situ sea surface height(SSH)of the altimeter footprint was determined using the tide *** tidal and geoid connection between the tide gauge locations and the altimeter footprints were computed with the NAO.99Jb tidal prediction system and the EGM 2008 geoid,*** data of the tide gauges were defi ned using the GPS buoy and GPS reference stations during the *** results show that the waveform of the altimeters was slightly contaminated by the small *** bias associated with jason-3 and Sentinel-3A amounted to approximately+20.7±49.7 mm and+30.1±39.4 mm,respectively,which agreed well with the results from other in-situ calibration fi *** indicates that the Wanshan area was very suitable as an in-situ calibration/validation fi *** wet zenith delay(WZD)determined from the Microwave Radiometer(MWR)and the GPS measurements diff ered from each other for the jason-3 and Sentinel-3A by−6.6±7.4 mm and 0±6.8 mm,respectively.

目的：探讨性别对小鼠慢性低氧性肺动脉高压及肺动脉血管活性的影响。方法8周龄小鼠雌雄各30只，在雌雄两组中按随机数字表法随机分为常氧组与低氧组各15只，低氧组置于低氧舱（10％O2）中，4周后测定右心室收缩压与右心肥大指数，分离肺动脉环，观察高钾及U-46619诱发的肺动脉收缩强度，比较雌、雄小鼠低氧与常氧组间的差异。结果慢性低氧诱发了小鼠肺动脉高压，雌性和雄性常氧组右心室收缩压均显著低于同性别低氧组[（23.40±0.16）和（24.71±0.44）比（31.46±2.33）和（33.66±1.38） mmHg（1 mmHg＝0.133 kPa），P＝0.029和P＜0.001]；雌性和雄性常氧组右心肥大指数均显著低于同性别低氧组（0.260±0.015和0.272±0.007比0.354±0.012和0.367±0.012，P＝0.001和P＜0.001）；而雌性低氧组与雄性低氧组右心室收缩压、右心肥大指数差异均无统计学意义（ P＝0.447、0.471）。高钾、U-46619诱导的肺动脉血管收缩呈钙依赖性，撤除细胞外钙明显抑制血管环收缩。慢性低氧可显著增强高钾、U-46619诱发的肺动脉血管环收缩，收缩强度呈浓度依赖性，但在高钾、U-46619引起的收缩强度在雌、雄低氧组间差异均无统计学意义（P＝0.657、0.751）。结论性别与小鼠慢性低氧性肺动脉高压的发病、肺动脉高压的严重程度以及慢性低氧中的肺动脉血管活性均无显著相关性。

Absolute calibration of HY-2A and jason-2 altimeters for sea surface height using GPS buoy in Qinglan, China

GPS buoy methodology is one of the main calibration methodologies for altimeter sea surface height calibration. This study introduces the results of the Qinglan calibration campaign for the HY-2A and jason-2 altimeters. It took place in two time slices;one was from August to September 2014, and the other was in July 2015. One GPS buoy and two GPS reference stations were used in this campaign. The GPS data were processed using the real-time kinematic (RTK) technique. The fi nal error budget estimate when measuring the sea surface height (SSH) with a GPS buoy was better than 3.5 cm. Using the GPS buoy, the altimeter bias estimate was about -2.3 cm for the jason-2 Geophysical Data Record (GDR) Version ‘D' and from -53.5 cm to -75.6 cm for the HY-2A Interim Geophysical Data Record (IGDR). The bias estimates for jason-2 GDR-D are similar to the estimates from dedicated calibration sites such as the Harvest Platform, the Crete Site and the Bass Strait site. The bias estimates for HY-2A IGDR agree well with the results from the Crete calibration site. The results for the HY-2A altimeter bias estimated by the GPS buoy were verifi ed by cross-calibration, and they agreed well with the results from the global analysis method.
