Vaccinium darrowii is a subtropical wild blueberry species that has been used to breed economically important southern highbush *** adaptive traits of *** to subtropical climates can provide valuable information for breeding blueberry and perhaps other plants,especially against the background of global ***,we assembled the *** genome into 12 pseudochromosomes using Oxford Nanopore long reads complemented with Hi-C scaffolding technologies,and we predicted 41815 genes using RNA-sequencing *** analysis across three Vaccinium species revealed a highly conserved genome structure,with the highest collinearity between *** and Vaccinium *** conserved genome structure may explain the high fertility observed during crossbreeding of *** with other blueberry *** of gene expansion and tandem duplication indicated possible roles for defense-and flowering-associated genes in the adaptation of *** to the *** SOC1 genes in *** were identified based on phylogeny and expression *** are covered in a thick cuticle layer and contain anthocyanins,which confer their powdery blue *** RNA sequencing,we delineated the cuticle biosynthesis pathways of Vaccinium species in *** result can serve as a reference for breeding berries whose colors are appealing to *** *** reference genome,together with the unique traits of this species,including its diploid genome,short vegetative phase,and high compatibility in hybridization with other blueberries,make *** a potential research model for blueberry species.

Groundwater Utilisation for Energy Production in the Nordic Environment: An Energy Simulation and Hydrogeological Modelling Approach

Groundwater provides one option to utilise renewable energy sources. The long-term groundwater energy potential for three building complexes, situated at latitude of 64°, was investigated by combining an energy demand simulation for the buildings with hydrogeological modelling. First, a reference year for the building energy demand was created. Secondly, groundwater flow requirements were calculated. The results of the previous stages were utilised in groundwater heat transport modelling in an environment where the natural temperature of groundwater was 4.9°C. Finally, the long-term (50 years) groundwater energy potential was calculated. The groundwater maintained its heating potential during 50 years of operation. When both heating and cooling power were demanded, the long-term pumping rate of groundwater decreased by 60,000 m3/a. Energy utilisation created a cold groundwater plume downstream, in which the temperature decreased by 1 to 2.5°C within a distance of 300 m from the site. Groundwater can provide a long-term energy source for large building complexes in the Nordic climate. Results indicate that groundwater could effectively be utilised until the temperature reaches approximately 4°C. Accurate information on the building energy demand and hydrogeology is essential for successful operation.

Contents of phytochemicals and antinutritional factors in commercial protein-rich plant products

Objectives:The goal of this study was to determine several beneficial and antinutritional compounds in the commercial products of some protein-rich *** and Methods:Samples of faba bean(Vicia faba),lupin(Lupinus angustifolius),rapeseed press cake(Brassica rapa/napus ***),flaxseed(Linum usitatissimum),oil hemp seed(Cannabis sativa),buckwheat(Fagopyrum esculentum),and quinoa(Chenopodium quinoa)were purchased from the grocery stores and from the *** phytochemicals were analyzed using various validated ***:Rape seed press cake contained the highest contents of *** highest contents of proanthocyanidins were found in faba bean(470±14 mg/100g DW).Secoisolariciresinol-diglucoside content in the flaxseeds was 138±32 mg/100 g DW and the lignanamide content of hemp seeds was 77±22 mg/100 g *** content of phytic acid in rapeseed cake,hemp seed and flaxseed samples was 3.9±0.1,3.5±0.2,and 1.9±0 g/100 g DW,*** seed cake contained glucosinolates 2.08±0.74 umol/g DW and faba bean contained vicine and convicine 0.77±0.11 and 0.42±0.02 g/100 g DW,*** contained saponins 557 mg/100 g DW and after abrasive milling/pearling the content was 36 mg/100 g ***,the phytochemicals were concentrated in the outer shell of the *** activities against proteolytic enzymes,trypsin andα-chymotrypsin,varied among the samples *** activity was found in buckwheat samples,whereas lupin and rapeseed press cake had no inhibitory activity against tested ***:This paper presented new findings on the contents of phytochemicals in various under-used plant protein sources.

党的二十大报告指出,“必须牢固树立和践行绿水青山就是金山银山的理念,站在人与自然和谐共生的高度谋划发展。”在我国全面推动生态文明建设的关键时期,生态与旅游的现实矛盾引发了广泛社会关注,但基于社会与政治发展层面深度有效的学术解释缺乏。缘起于结构化马克思主义的政治生态学,将社会-生态过程与政治的尺度交互作为分析对象,为生态问题提供了更加平衡与综合的理论研究进路。文章利用知识考古学的方法论深度考察了政治生态学以及相关的旅游文献,从当代现实、理论缘起、理论发展、旅游参与以及本土议题展开论述,重点分析了国际旅游政治生态学研究思想的3个重要进展趋势:保护地旅游与资源管理的政治经济学研究、生态旅游话语意识的后结构主义批判研究、可持续发展与环境正义的实践行动研究。进一步,文章借助政治生态学的理论视角反思了我国生态与旅游发展的历史成就与现实问题,并结合二十大报告的政策理路探讨了本土旅游政治生态学研究的相关议题:关注保护地旅游历史过程的政治经济学、关注保护地社区资源利用与可持续生计的微观政治过程以及关注“两山论”的辩证性与生态发展的现实差距等。文章希冀通过政治生态学的引入,引导中国旅游研究转向生态-旅游人地关系的深入反思,在尊重现实与贴近实践的前提下,推动生态文明建设的制度成就向国际传播的高质量旅游学术成果转化。

Cardiac Autonomic Control in Relation to Other Prognostic Markers in Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Objectives: We set out to study cardiac autonomic tone in patients with idiopathic dilated cardio-myopathy (IDC), and whether it correlates with other established markers of disease progression and patient ultimate outcome. Design: Fifty-one IDC patients in sinus rhythm underwent extensive non-invasive and invasive evaluation during a three-day hospitalization period. The control group consisted of thirty-eight apparently healthy subjects who underwent 24-hour ambulatory ECG recording. Results: Heart rate variability (HRV) and heart rate turbulence (HRT) correlated with many previously established prognostic markers of IDC and congestive heart failure, especially measures of cardiorespiratory performance capacity and circulating neurohumoral factors (p < 0.05 for all). Furthermore, attenuated HRV correlated with worse prognosis during a median follow-up of 6.8 years (range 5.1 - 8.1). Additionally, 24-hour time domain, low and high frequency components of frequency domain and non-linear HRV, excluding scaling exponents (α), were lower in IDC patients as compared with controls (p < 0.05 for all);however, HRT was not significantly different. Conclusions: The magnitude of impairment in cardiac autonomic control correlates well with other prognostic markers of IDC, and is associated with unfavorable outcome.
