The Semigroup of Surjective Transformations on an Infinite Set

For an infinite set X, denote by Ω(X) the semigroup of all surjective mappings from X to X. We determine Green's relations in Ω(X), show that the kernel (unique minimum ideal) of Ω(X) exists and det ermine its elemen ts and cardinali ty. For a cou ntably infinite set X, we describe the elements of Ω(X) for which the D-class and J-class coincide. We compare the results for Ω(X) with the corresponding results for other transformation semigroups on X.

In usual cases of significant pressure gradients and strong shocks, the front shock takes a fixed location along the wall, at which separation starts. Usually the rear shock is responding to vortex sheding by its deflection angle. In consequence main shock and rear shocks are moving whilst front shock is stable. The goal of the measurements presented here is to find out how the k-foot behaves during shock oscillations in the case when front shock is not fixed by the pressure gradient. Unsteady shock behaviour is also investigated when air jet vortex generators （AJVG） are used. Counteraction of the separation is directly related to the influence on unsteady processes in the shock wave induced separation.

Inherited tectonic structures,ongoing tectonic deformation,and variations in relative rock uplift rates play an important role in conditioning the processes of relief *** influence among other factors,such as climate and lithology,can be quantified using landscape analysis,and geomorphometric indices,in *** usage of landscape analysis in recent years is increasing systematically due to the constant improvement of the digital elevation models and GIS software that significantly facilitate this *** this study,we aim to recognize the influence of tectonic structures and processes on relief development in the low mountains with moderate relief of the Sola River catchment in the Western Outer *** this end,we calculated geomorphometric indices(river longitudinal profile,stream-length gradient index,minimum bulk erosion,relief ratio,circulatory ratio,elongation ratio,and hypsometric integral)for the Sola River and its 47 sub-catchments using a 25-m spatial resolution Digital Terrain Elevation Data Level ***,we identified lineaments and knickpoints and correlated the computed results with local and regional fault networks,variations in lithology,and climate *** results indicate a significant impact of inherited tectonicstructures on the relief development of the Sola River catchment,i.e.,directions of principal ridges and valleys follow the orientation of main folds and faults recorded in this *** high values of minimum bulk erosion,river gradient,and streamlength gradient index allowed us to define two areas with higher relative uplift rates:1)the So?a Gorge and 2)the Beskid Zywiecki *** Outer Carpathians are generally considered as an area of low strain rate and low seismic ***,the possibility of neotectonic processes should be considered in geohazard *** bends in the direction of river valleys that do not correspond with changes in lithology could be

The solid-phase microextraction technique quantifies analytes without considerably affecting the sample ***,a proof-of-concept study was conducted to demonstrate the use of coated probe electrospray ionization(coated-PESI)and coated blade spray(CBS)as ambient mass spectrometry approaches for monitoring drug *** ability of these methods was investigated for monitoring the dephosphorylation of a prodrug,combretastatin A4 phosphate(CA4P),into its active form,combretastatin A4(CA4),in a cell culture medium supplemented with fetal bovine *** CBS spot analysis was modified to achieve the same extraction efficiency as protein precipitation and obtained results in 7 *** coated-PESI performs extraction without consuming any samples,it is the preferred technique in the case of a limited sample *** coated-PESI only extracts small quantities of analytes,it uses the desorption solvent volume of 5-10 pL,resulting in high sensitivity,thus allowing the detection of compounds after only 1 min of *** biotransformation of CA4P into CA4 via phosphatases occurs within the simple matrix,and the proposed sample preparation techniques are suitable for monitoring the biotransformation.

This paper presents computational investigation of a novel design of composite material axial water turbine using Computational Fluid Dynamics（CFD）.Based on three-dimensional numerical flow analysis,the flow characteristics through the water turbine with nozzle,wheel and diffuser are *** extract power and torque of a composite water turbine at different rotating speeds were calculated and analyzed for a specific flow *** simulation results show that using nozzle and diffuser can increase the pressure drop across the turbine and extract more power from available water *** results provide a fundamental understanding of the composite water turbine,and this design and analysis method is used in the design process.

The aim of this article is to prove a fixed point theorem in 2-Banach spaces and show its applications to the Ulam stability of functional equations. The obtained stability re- sults concern both some single variable equations and the most important functional equation in several variables, namely, the Cauchy equation. Moreover, a few corollaries corresponding to some known hyperstability outcomes are presented.

In this study, a complex analysis of a man-weapon interaction based on experimental effort is *** attention is focused on how a shooter can influence on a rifle, opposite to generally considered in literature rifle's impact on a shooter. It is shown, based on the kbk AKM weapon, that each support point of the rifle has an substantial impact on the system. It is said that identifying human reactions on weapon may let to describe gun movement and thus may be applied to weapon accuracy determination.

AIM: To assess values of 24-h esophageal pH-monitoring parameters with dual-channel probe (distal and proximal channel) in children suspected of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). METHODS: 264 children suspected of gastroesophageal reflux (GER) were enrolled in a study (mean age χ = 20.78 ± 17.23 mo). The outcomes of this study, immunoallerrgological tests and positive result of oral food challenge test with a potentially noxious nutrient, enabled to qualify children into particular study groups. RESULTS: 32 (12.1%) infants (group 1) had physiological GER diagnosed. Pathological acid GER was confirmed in 138 (52.3%) children. Primary GER was diagnosed in 76 (28.8%) children (group 2) and GER secondary to allergy to cow milk protein and/or other food (CMA/FA) in 62 (23.5%) children (group 3). 32 (12.1%) of them had CMA/FA (group 4-reference group), and in remaining 62 (23.5%) children neither GER nor CMA/FA was confirmed (group 5). Mean values of pH monitoring parameters measured in distal and proximal channel were analyzed in individual groups. This analysis showed statistically significant differentiation of mean values in the case of: number of episodes of acid GER, episodes of acid GER lasting > 5 min, duration of the longest episode of acid GER in both channels, acid GER index total and supine in proximal channel. Statistically significant differences of mean values among examined groups, especially between group 2 and 3 in the case of total acid GER index (only distal channel) were confirmed. CONCLUSION: 24-h esophageal pH monitoring confirmed pathological acid GER in 52.3% of children with typical and atypical symptoms of GERD. The similar pH-monitoring values obtained in group 2 and 3 confirm the necessity of implementation of differential diagnosis for primary vs secondary cause of GER.
