A conventional electrode composite for rechargeable zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)includes a binder for strong adhesion between the electrode material and the current ***,the introduction of a binder leads to electrochemical inactivity and low electrical conductivity,resulting in the decay of the capacity and a low rate *** present a binder-and conducting agent-free VO_(2)composite electrode using in situ polymerization of dopamine on a flexible current collector of pyroprotein-based *** as-fabricated composite electrode was used as a substrate for the direct growth of VO_(2)as a self-supported form on polydopamine-derived pyroprotein-based fibers(pp-fibers@VO_(2)(B)).It has a high conductivity and flexible nature as a current collector and moderate binding without conventional binders and conducting agents for the VO_(2)(B)*** addition,their electrochemical mechanism was *** energy storage is induced by Zn^(2+)/H^(+)coinsertion during discharging,which can be confirmed by the lattice expansion,the formation of by-products including Zn_(x)(OTf)_(y)(OH)_(2x−y)·nH_(2)O,and the reduction of V^(4+)to V^(3+).Furthermore,the assembled Zn//pp-fibers@VO_(2)(B)pouch cells have excellent flexibility and stable electrochemical performance under various bending states,showing application possibilities for portable and wearable power sources.

Novel strengthening of Fe-29.1Mn-12.5Al-1.35C-4.95Cr steel achieved by warm rolling was *** solution-treated steel consisted of aγ-matrix containing nano-sizedκ-carbide((Fe,Mn)_(3) AlC)and elongated prior ferrite,which was transformed into FeAl-type B2 and Fe_(3) Al-type D0_(3) *** solution-treated steel exhibited poor strain hardening owing to glide softening associated withκ-carbide shearing by ***,after warm rolling with a reduction ratio of 30%at 300℃,the yield and tensile strengths significantly increased from 917 to 1300 MPa and 1025 to 1419 MPa,*** tensile test conducted at 300℃to simulate warm rolling exhibited serrated flows,indicating dy-namic strain aging(DSA).Atom probe tomography exhibited that the C atoms inκ-carbide were swept away along the slip direction by disruptive shear during rolling at 300℃.The swept C atoms along the slip direction interacted strongly with dislocations at 300℃,with repeated pinning and breakaway of dislocations from the C *** contributed to significant strengthening owing to the formation of a solute-rich atmosphere after warm *** results of the tensile tests at 300℃indicated that the de-gree of strengthening was proportional to the pre-strain *** strength of 1.4 GPa can be achieved with good ductility(17%elongation)by warm *** novel warm-rolling strengthening method ex-pedites the potential application of Fe-29.1Mn-12.5Al-1.35C-4.95Cr as a 1.4 GPa class ultra-lightweight steel.

Oxygen evolution reaction(OER)as a half-anodic reaction of water splitting hinders the overall reaction efficiency owing to its thermodynamic and kinetic *** oxidation reaction(IOR)with low thermodynamic barrier and rapid reaction kinetics is a promising alternative to the ***,we present a molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))electrocatalyst for a high-efficiency and remarkably durable anode enabling ***_(2)nanosheets deposited on a porous carbon paper via atomic layer deposition show an IOR current density of 10 mA cm^(–2)at an anodic potential of 0.63 V with respect to the reversible hydrogen electrode owing to the porous substrate as well as the intrinsic iodide oxidation capability of MoS_(2)as confirmed by theoretical *** lower positive potential applied to the MoS_(2)-based heterostructure during IOR electrocatalysis prevents deterioration of the active sites on MoS_(2),resulting in exceptional durability of 200 ***,we fabricate a two-electrode system comprising a MoS_(2)anode for IOR combined with a commercial Pt@C catalyst cathode for hydrogen evolution ***,the photovoltaic–electrochemical hydrogen production device comprising this electrolyzer and a single perovskite photovoltaic cell shows a record-high current density of 21 mA cm^(–2)at 1 sun under unbiased conditions.

Primary needle-knife fistulotomy for preventing post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography pancreatitis:Importance of the endoscopist’s expertise level

BACKGROUND Post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) pancreatitis(PEP)is a critical and poorly managed complication of ERCP. Endoscopists need to understand the risk factors for PEP. However, the majority of studies investigating ERCP-related risk factors have included well-trained endoscopists,with the issue of endoscopist experience on PEP incidence not having been systematically *** To explore the risk factors for PEP in beginner endoscopists without *** We performed a retrospective analysis of 293 patients, with na?ve papilla and no history of pancreatitis, treated using bile duct cannulation. Patients were classified according to the endoscopist’s experience(beginner vs expert). The angle of the distal common bile duct(CBD) was measured as the angle between the lower wall of the bile duct and a vertical line extending to the lower wall of the bile duct on coronal view computed *** After propensity matching, there were no differences between patients treated by the expert and beginner endoscopist with regard to age, sex, mean bile duct dilatation, and ratio of benign disease. The distal CBD angle was classified as acute(> 30o) or obtuse(≤ 30o), based on the mean angle of 29.9o for the group. Effect of the herbal medicine Danggui Sini plus Wuzhuyu Shengjiang Tang on erythrocyte deformability in normal subjects: a cross-over trial

OBJECTIVE: To show whether Danggui Sini plus Wuzhuyu Shengjiang Tang(DSWST) has any transient effect on erythrocyte deformability in normal ***: A total of 25 subjects [mean age(27.8± 1.8) years] was enrolled in this study. The study was designed as a cross-over trial in which the subjects took part for 2 d. On the first day, blood samples were collected at baseline and 1-2 h after administration of water, whereas, on the second day, instead of water, the subjects were administered DSWST after the baseline blood sampling. The blood samples collected at baseline and after the administration water or DSWST, were examined for erythrocyte ***: The elongation index increased significantly after 2 h(P = 0.009) compared to the baseline after DSWST intake. However, after water intake, there was no significant differenceobserved. When comparing the percent change of erythrocyte deformability between DSWST and water, we found that after 2 h of administration,DSWST improved erythrocyte deformability significantly compared to water(P < 0.001).CONCLUSION: DSWST has a transient effect on erythrocyte deformability in normal subjects.

Disease progression in chronic hepatitis C patients with normal alanine aminotransferase levels

AIM:To investigate whether the disease progression of chronic hepatitis C patients with normal alanine aminotransferase(ALT) levels differs by ALT ***:A total of 232 chronic hepatitis C patients with normal ALT( 26 IU/L(highnormal),respectively(P = 0.043),and it was 1.4% and 4.8% for female patients with baseline ALT levels ≤ 22 IU/L(low-normal) and > 23 IU/L(high-normal),respectively(P = 0.023).ALT levels fluctuated during the follow-up *** the follow-up,more patients with "high-normal" ALT levels at baseline experienced ALT elevation(> 41 IU/L) than did patients with "lownormal" ALT levels at baseline(47.7% vs 27.9%,P = 0.002).The 5 year cumulative incidence of disease progression was significantly lower in patients with persistently "low-normal" ALT levels than "high-normal" ALT levels or those who exhibited an ALT elevation > 41 U/L during the follow-up period(0%,8.3% and 34.3%,P < 0.001).CONCLUSION:A "high normal" ALT level in chronic hepatitis C patients was associated with disease progression,suggesting that the currently accepted normal threshold of serum ALT should be lowered.

Neuroprotective Effect of Chunghyuldan(Qing Xue Dan)on Hypoxia-Reoxygenation Induced Damage of Neuroblastoma 2a Cell Lines

Objectives： Chunghyuldan （CHD）, a combinatorial drug that has anti-hyperlipidemic and anti inflammatory activities, has been shown to reduce infarct volume in a focal ischemia-reperfusion rat model. To explore the molecular basis of CHD＇s neuroprotective effect, we examined whether CHD shows a cell-protective activity and has a regulatory effect on Bax and/or B-cell leukemia/lymphoma 2 （Bcl-2） expression in mouse neuroblastoma 2a （N2a） cells subjected to hypoxia-reoxygenation （H/R）. Methods： In order to evaluate the effects of CHD on the cytotoxicity induced from hypoxia or H/R condition, lactate dehydrogenase （LDH） assay was performed. To explore whether the suppression of neural damage when pre-treated with CHD is associated with its anti-apoptotic effect, the CHD effect on the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax was analyzed by Western blotting analysis. Results： Cytotoxicity of N2a cell line was slightly increased in 42 h hypoxia condition and dramatically increased under the H/R condition. CHD treatment markedly decreased the cytotoxicity in both conditions （P〈0.01, P〈0.05）. H/R markedly increased the expression of the pro-apoptotic protein, Bax, but slightly increased the expression of the anti-apoptotic protein, Bcl-2, compared with the normoxia or hypoxia group. CHD significantly decreased Bax expression （P〈0.01） and slightly decreased Bcl-2 expression （P〉0.05）, resulted in a reduction of Bax/Bcl-2 ratio in N2a cells subjected to H/R. Conclusion： CHD has neuroprotective effect in N2a cells subjected to H/R, which might be derived at least in part from its ability to decrease the expression of the pro-apoptotic protein, Bax.

Uhwang Chungsim Won Decreases Blood Oxygen Level-Dependent fMRI Signal Response to A Motor Stimulation Task

Objectives： TO evaluate the effect of Uhwang Chungsim Won [UC, Niuhuang Qingxin Pill （牛黄清心丸] on the blood oxygen level-dependent （BOLD） functional magnetic resonance imaging （fMRI） signal response to a motor stimulation task using a hand grasping paradigm. Methods： Ten healthy right-handed male volunteers were recruited. Their BOLD fMRI signal characteristics during hand grasping were determined before and 1 h after consuming UC. Results： With the administration of UC, BOLD responses to the right hand motor task showed a decrease in both hemispheres including the right cerebellar culmen, right and left medial frontal gyrus, right parahippocampal gyrus, right and left sublobar insula, right and left posterior cingulate, left precuneus, and right precentral gyrus. Decreased BOLD responses to the left hand motor task were shown in the right lingual gyrus, right cerebellar culmen, left superior temporal gyrus, right and left middle frontal gyrus, and right precentral gyrus after UC administration. Increased BOLD responses to the left hand motor task were shown in the left and right posterior cingulate, while there was no increased response to the right hand motor task after UC administration. Conclusions： UC administration significantly decreased fMRI BOLD signal responses to hand grasping in most of the brain areas including the primary motor cortex, but it is not clear whether these decreased responses were caused by a decrease in neuronal activities or by an increase in cerebral blood flow due to the cerebral vasodilatory effects of UC. Further studies using positron emission tomography or single photon emission computed tomography are needed to fully elucidate these findings.
