Proliferation and differentiation of intestinal stem cell(ISC)to replace damaged gut mucosal epithelial cells in inflammatory states is a critical step in ameliorating gut ***,when this disordered proliferation continues,it induces the ISC to enter a cancerous *** gut microbiota on the free surface of the gut mucosal barrier is able to interact with ISC on a sustained ***-biota metabolites are able to regulate the proliferation of gut stem and progenitor cells through transcription factors,while in steady state,differentiated colono-cytes are able to break down such metabolites,thereby protecting stem cells at the gut *** the future,the gut flora and its metabolites mediating the regulation of ISC differentiation will be a potential treatment for enteropathies.

Pressure sensors are considerably important for continuous monitoring of human movement and the surrounding environment to construct a caregiving system for the elderly living *** challenge for pressure sensors that still remains is combining self-driven,comfort,and ***,an all-in-one conformal pressure sensor(ACPS) based on a homogeneous integrated triboelectric-piezoelectric hybrid sensor is *** ACPS has dual-mode sensing properties due to coupling triboelectrification and piezoelectric effect ensuring a stable response to various external ***-coated glass microspheres and polyacrylonitrile were uniformly filleted into the silicone rubber substrate using a hetero-doping method to create a stretchable electrode layer with flexible conformal characteristics and a piezoelectric layer with excellent piezoelectric properties,***,the triboelectric layer was fabricated using the same silicone rubber,allowing ACPS to be homogeneously bonded into an all-in-one structure with reliable *** allowed various functional layers to have outstanding interface characteristics and thus improve the electrical transmission *** developed ACPS had outstanding sensitivity(1.04 V/104Pa),high linearity(about 0.984),a wide measurement range(10–700 k Pa),and can accurately and continuously distinguish multiple ***,using a homemade signal processing circuit,ACPSs can be deployed in the human body and the room as indoor body area network *** successfully applied to the remote tracking of daily dynamic home life and the remote operation of small electrical equipment,these ACPSs can achieve real-time caregiving for the elderly living *** an application area desperately needed by society,this study envisions a caregiving system for the elderly living alone without violating personal privacy.

Jigsaw-Sketch: a fast and accurate algorithm for finding top-k elephant flows in high-speed networks

Finding top-k elephant flows in high-speed networks is one of the most fundamental network measurement tasks. It is more challenging than per-flow size estimation since the IDs and sizes of top-k flows must be tracked simultaneously. Most existing studies only record the IDs of a small number of elephant flows to fit their estimators in the extremely limited high-speed on-chip memory. However, these solutions need too many memory accesses when a packet arrives to track the elephant flows with high accuracy, which limits their practicability. Therefore, this paper proposes Jigsaw-Sketch, a new algorithm to find the top-k elephant flows with much fewer memory accesses while achieving high memory efficiency and accuracy. In this design, we propose a novel two-stage jigsaw storage scheme, which can capture the candidate top-k flows from massive network steams efficiently, and further find the top-k elephant flows with high memory efficiency and only a few memory accesses for each packet. extensive experimental results based on real network traces show that Jigsaw-Sketch improves the packet processing throughput by at least 86%, while achieving smaller memory footprints and higher accuracy compared to the SOTA.

In plants,the genome structure of hybrids changes compared with their parents,but the effects of these changes in hybrids remain *** reciprocal crosses between Col×C24 and C24×Col in Arabidopsis using high-throughput chromosome conformation capture assay(Hi-C)analysis,we found that hybrid three-dimensional(3D)chromatin organization had more long-distance interactions relative to parents,and this was mainly located in promoter regions and enriched in genes with heterosis-related *** interactions between euchromatin and heterochromatin were increased,and the compartment strength decreased in *** compartment domain(CD)boundaries,the distal interactions were more in hybrids than their *** the hybrids of CURLY leAF(clf)mutants clfCol×clfC24and clfC24×clfCol,the heterosis phenotype was damaged,and the long-distance interactions in hybrids were fewer than in their parents with lower ***-seq data revealed higher levels of H3K27me3 in the region adjacent to the CD boundary and the same interactional homo-trans sites in the wild-type(WT)hybrids,which may have led to more long-distance *** addition,the differentially expressed genes(DeGs)located in the boundaries of CDs and loop regions changed obviously in WT,and the functional enrichment for DeGs was different between WT and clf in the longdistance interactions and loop *** findings may therefore propose a new epigenetic explanation of heterosis in the Arabidopsis hybrids and provide new insights into crop breeding and yield increase.

Hierarchically porous carbons(HPCs)with multimodal pores have attracted considerable attention due to their unique physical and chemical properties and various application potentials in heterogeneous catalysis,environmental treatment,and energy storage and ***,we report a general and simple zinc salts-assisted method for the synthesis of HPCs with varied porosity and chemical func-tionalities by the direct carbonization of diverse biomass and *** the carbonization,zinc salts are thermally decomposed into nanoparticles that serve as in-situ templates to introduce nanopores in *** prepared HPCs exhibit high specific surface areas(up to 2432 m2 g-1),large pore volumes(up to 4.30 cm^(3)g^(-1)),and broad pore size ***,the zinc salts can be recovered and recycled,supporting the sustainable production of HPCs on large *** prepared HPCs-supported catalysts with atomically dispersed metal sites exhibit promising electrocatalytic performance for the oxygen reduction reaction.
