The prevention and early diagnosis of liver cancer remains a global medical *** the malignant transformation of hepatocytes,a variety of oncogenic cellular signalling molecules,such as novel high mobility group-Box 3,angiopoietin-2,Golgi protein 73,glypican-3,Wnt3a(a signalling molecule in the Wnt/β-catenin pathway),and secretory clusterin,can be expressed and secreted into the *** signalling molecules are derived from different signalling pathways and may not only participate in the malignant transformation of hepatocytes but also become early diagnostic indicators of hepatocarcinogenesis or specific targeted molecules for hepatocellular carcinoma *** article reviews recent progress in the study of several signalling molecules as sensitive biomarkers for monitoring hepatocarcinogenesis.

The energy density and lifespan of prototype Li-s batteries under high sulfur loading and lean electrolyte have been mainly restricted by the incomplete interconversion between insulating s8 and *** introduction of an electrocatalyst has been preserved as an effective way to breakthrough the bottleneck of the interconversion ***,we demonstrate a novel bidirectional redox mediator,insoluble dithiobisphthalimide(DTPI),as the electrocatalyst for both s8 reduction and Li2s *** to the dual-functional role of both electron/Li^(+)donor and acceptor,DTPI can efficiently accelerate the redox reactions during charge/discharge and significantly alleviate the incomplete conversion of sulfur ***,the Li-s batteries with DTPI deliver superior specific capacity and cycling stability in comparison with those without ***,the redox mediator is scalable for synthesis and the DTPI-based 5 A·h pouch cell delivers a specific discharge capacity of around 870 mA·h·g^(−1) at 0.1 C(1 C=1675 mA/g)without capacity fading over 80 *** bidirectional catalysis mechanism has been studied through theoretical calculation and ex-situ characterization of the cathode *** work approves the effectiveness of bidirectional organic redox mediator in the construction of practical Li-s batteries.

The high-speed penetration of concrete targets by kinetic energy projectiles results in apparent mass loss,which blunts the nose of the projectile and decrease its penetration *** friction work between the projectile and the concrete target,the plastic deformation of the projectile,and the cutting of aggregates to the projectile significantly affect the mass loss of the *** address these effects,a discrete iterative model is developed for the mass loss and nose shape evolution of the projectile by coupling three mechanisms based on the effect of temperature on *** the model,both friction work and plastic work increase the temperature of the projectile's surface layer,thereby weakening the strength of this part and rendering it easier for mass loss to occur due to aggregate *** model discretizes the projectile and penetration process with respect to the space and time dimensions,*** mass loss and nose shape evolution of the projectile are obtained by iteratively calculating a point-by-point *** predicted depth of penetration(DOP),mass loss,and residual projectile profile are compared with experimental data to validate the *** comparison shows satisfactory agreement between the calculated results and experimental ***,the deceleration,velocity,DOP,and mass loss during penetration are analyzed with respect to ***,based on the model,the effects of projectile strength,caliber-radius-head(CRH),and concrete target strength on penetration are discussed.

Mitochondria,with their intricate networks of functions and information processing,are pivotal in both health regulation and disease ***,mitochondrial dysfunctions are identified in many common pathologies,including cardiovascular diseases,neurodegeneration,metabolic syndrome,and ***,the multifaceted nature and elusive phenotypic threshold of mitochondrial dysfunction complicate our understanding of their contributions to ***,these complexities do not prevent mitochondria from being among the most important therapeutic *** recent years,strategies targeting mitochondrial dysfunction have continuously emerged and transitioned to clinical *** intervention such as using healthy mitochondria to replenish or replace damaged mitochondria,has shown promise in preclinical trials of various *** components,including mtDNA,mitochondria-located microRNA,and associated proteins can be potential therapeutic agents to augment mitochondrial function in immunometabolic diseases and tissue ***,we review current knowledge of mitochondrial pathophysiology in concrete examples of common *** also summarize current strategies to treat mitochondrial dysfunction from the perspective of dietary supplements and targeted therapies,as well as the clinical translational situation of related pharmacology ***,this review discusses the innovations and potential applications of mitochondrial transplantation as an advanced and promising treatment.

For lithium-sulfur batteries(Li-s batteries),a high-content electrolyte typically can exacerbate the shuttle effect,while a lean electrolyte may lead to decreased Li-ion conductivity and reduced catalytic conversion efficiency,so achieving an appropriate electrolyte-to-sulfur ratio(E/s ratio)is essential for improving the battery cycling efficiency.A quasi-solid electrolyte(COF-sH@PVDF-HFP)with strong adsorption and high catalytic conversion was constructed for in situ covalent organic framework(COF)growth on highly polarized polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene(PVDF-HFP)***-sH@PVDF-HFP enables efficient Li-ion conductivity with low-content liquid electrolyte and effectively suppresses the shuttle *** results based on in situ Fourier-transform infrared,in situ Raman,UV–Vis,X-ray photoelectron,and density functional theory calculations confirmed the high catalytic conversion of COF-sH layer containing sulfhydryl and imine groups for the lithium *** plating/stripping tests based on Li/COF-sH@PVDF-HFP/Li show excellent lithium compatibility(5 mAh cm^(-2) for 1400 h).The assembled Li-s battery exhibits excellent rate(2 C 688.7 mAh g^(-1))and cycle performance(at 2 C of 568.8 mAh g^(-1) with a capacity retention of 77.3%after 800 cycles).This is the first report to improve the cycling stability of quasi-solid-state Li-s batteries by reducing both the E/s ratio and the designing strategy of sulfhydryl-functionalized COF for quasi-solid *** process opens up the possibility of the high performance of solid-state Li-s batteries.

As part of its efforts to promote a sustainable and high-quality development,China has pledged to reduce water consumption and create a water-efficient *** the basis of identifying the institutional root causes of excessive capital allocation and excessive water consumption in China’s water-intensive industrial sectors,this study elaborates how the national water-efficient cities assessment contributes to optimized capital *** research shows that national water-efficient cities assessment has motivated local governments to compete for water *** conserve water,local governments regulated the entry and exit of water-intensive enterprises,discouraged excessive investments in water-intensive sectors,and phased out obsolete water-intensive capacities within their *** approach has resulted in mutually beneficial outcomes,including improved allocation of capital,enhanced water efficiency,and reduced *** paper offers policy recommendations for establishing a water-efficient society throughout the 14^(th) Five-Year Plan(2021-2025)period by presenting empirical evidence on the policy effects of resource efficiency evaluation.
