With the rapid development of flexible wearable electronics,the demand for stretchable energy storage devices has *** this work,a novel gradient-layered architecture was design based on single-pore hollow lignin nanospheres(HLNPs)-intercalated two-dimensional transition metal carbide(Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x) MXene)for fabricating highly stretchable and durable *** depositing and inserting HLNPs in the MXene layers with a bottom-up decreasing gradient,a multilayered porous MXene structure with smooth ion channels was constructed by reducing the overstacking of MXene ***,the micro-chamber architecture of thin-walled lignin nanospheres effectively extended the contact area between lignin and MXene to improve ion and electron accessibility,thus better utilizing the pseudocapacitive property of *** these strategies effectively enhanced the capacitive performance of the *** addition,HLNPs,which acted as a protective phase for MXene layer,enhanced mechanical properties of the wrinkled stretchable electrodes by releasing stress through slip and deformation during the stretch-release cycling and greatly improved the structural integrity and capacitive stability of the *** electrodes and symmetric flexible all-solid-state supercapacitors capable of enduring 600%uniaxial tensile strain were developed with high specific capacitances of 1273 mF cm^(−2)(241 F g^(−1))and 514 mF cm^(−2)(95 F g^(−1)),***,their capacitances were well preserved after 1000 times of 600%stretch-release *** study showcased new possibilities of incorporating biobased lignin nanospheres in energy storage devices to fabricate stretchable devices leveraging synergies among various two-dimensional nanomaterials.

Ever since the disastrous floods of 1998, the chinese government has used the Natural Forest Protection and Sloping Land conversion Programs to promote afforestation and reforestation as means to reduce runoff, control erosion, and stabilize local livelihoods. These two ambitious programs have been reported as large-scale successes, contributing to an overall increase in china’s forest cover and to the stated goals of environmental stabilization. A small-scale field study at the project level of the implementation of these two programs in Baiwu Township, Yanyuan county, Sichuan, casts doubt upon the accuracy and reliability of these claims of success; ground observations revealed utter failure in some sites and only marginal success in others. Reasons for this discrepancy are posited as involving ecological, economic, and bureaucratic factors. Further research is suggested to determine whether these discrepancies are merely local aberrations or represent larger-scale failures in reforestation programs.

Mitogen-activated protein kinase-8-interacting protein 2(MAPK8IP2)is a scaffold protein that modulates MAPK signal *** MAPK pathways were heavily implicated in prostate cancer progression,the regulation of MAPK8IP2 expression in prostate cancer is not yet *** assessed MAPK8IP2 gene expression in prostate cancer related to disease progression and patient survival ***8IP2 expression was analyzed using multiple genome-wide gene expression datasets derived from The cancer Genome Atlas(TcGA)RNA-sequence project and complementary DNA(cDNA)*** cox regressions and log-rank tests were used to analyze the overall survival outcome and progression-free ***8IP2 protein expression was evaluated using the immunohistochemistry *** quantitative PcR and Western blot methods analyzed androgen-stimulated MAPK8IP2 expression in LNcaP *** primary prostate cancer tissues,MAPK8IP2 mRNA expression levels were significantly higher than those in the case-matched benign prostatic *** MAPK8IP2 expression was strongly correlated with late tumor stages,lymph node invasion,residual tumors after surgery,higher Gleason scores,and preoperational serum prostate-specific antigen(PSA)***8IP2 upregulation was significantly associated with worse overall survival outcomes and progression-free *** castration-resistant prostate cancers,MAPK8IP2 expression strongly correlated with androgen receptor(AR)signaling *** cell culture-based experiments,MAPK8IP2 expression was stimulated by androgens in AR-positive prostate cancer ***,MAPK8IP2 expression was blocked by AR antagonists only in androgen-sensitive LNcaP but not castration-resistant c4-2B and 22RV1 *** results indicate that MAPK8IP2 is a robust prognostic factor and therapeutic biomarker for prostate *** potential role of MAPK8IP2 in the castration-resistant progression is under further investigation.

The surgeon is invariably the primary specialist involvedin managing patients with short bowel syndrome. Becauseof this they will play an important role in co-ordinating themanagement of these patients. The principal aims at theinitial surgery are to preserve life, then to preserve gutlength, and maintain its continuity. In the immediatepostoperative period, there needs to be a balancebetween keeping the patient alive through the use of TPNand antisecretory agents and promoting gut adaptationwith the use of oral nutrition. lf the gut fails to adaptduring this period, then the patient may require therapywith more specific agents to promote gut adaptation suchas growth factors and glutamine. lf following this, thepatient still has a short gut syndrome, then the principaloptions remain either long term TPN, or intestinaltransplantation which remains a difficult and challengingprocedure with a high mortality and morbidity due torejection.

Markov cellular automata models for chronic disease progression

We analyze a Markov cellular automaton that models the spread of viruses that often progress to a chronic condition, such as human immunodeficiency virus （HIV） or hep- atitis c virus （HcV）. We show that the complex dynamical system produces a Markov process at the later stages, whose eigenvectors corresponding to the eigenvalue 1 have physical significance for the long-term prognosis of the virus. Moreover we show that drug treatment leads to chronic conditions that can be modeled by Markov shifts with more optimal eigenveetors.

AIM： To investigate the effect of hot water-extracted Lydurn barbarum （LBE） and Rehrnannia glutinosa （RGE） on cell proliferation and apoptosis in rat and/or human hepatocellular carcinoma （Hcc） cells. METHODS： Rat （H-4-Ⅱ-E） and human Hcc （HA22T/ VGH） cell lines were incubated with various concentrations （0-10 g/L） of hot water-extracted LBE and RGE. After 6-24 h incubation, cell proliferation （n = 6） was measured by a colorimetric method. The apoptotic cells （n = 6） were detected by flow cytometry. The expression of p53 protein （n = 3） was determined by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. RESULTS： crude LBE （2-5 g/L） and RGE （2-10 g/L） dose-dependently inhibited proliferation of H-4-Ⅱ-E cells by 11% （P 〈 0.05） to 85% （P 〈 0.01） after 6-24 h treatment. crude LBE at a dose of 5 g/L suppressed cell proliferation of H-4-Ⅱ-E cells more effectively than crude RGE after 6-24 h incubation （P 〈 0.01）. crude LBE （2-10 g/L） and RGE （2-5 g/L） also dose-dependently inhibited proliferation of HA22T/VGH cells by 14%-43% （P 〈 0.01） after 24 h. crude LBE at a dose of 10 g/L inhibited the proliferation of HA22T/VGH cells more effectively than crude RGE （56.8% ＋ 1.6% vs 70.3% ＋ 3.1% of control, P = 0.0003 〈 0.01）. The apoptotic cells significantly increased in H-4-Ⅱ-E cells after 24 h treatment with higher doses of crude LBE （2-5 g/L） and RGE （5-10 g/L）（P 〈 0.01）. The expression of p53 protein in H-4-Ⅱ-E cells was 119% and 143% of the control group compared with the LBE-treated （2, 5 g/L） groups, and 110% and 132% of the control group compared with the RGE -treated （5, 10 g/L） groups after 24 h. cONcLUSION： Hot water-extracted crude LBE （2-5 g/L） and RGE （5-10 g/L） inhibit proliferation and stimulate p53-mediated apoptosis in Hcc cells.

There has been a wealth of research that has examined the nature of rework in *** toward addressing the rework problem has been limited-it still plagues practice,adversely impacting a project’s *** all rework studies have focused on determining its proximal or root causes and therefore have overlooked the conditions that result from its *** filling this void,this paper draws upon our previous empirical studies,amongst others,to provide a much-needed theoretical framing to understand better why rework occurs,what its consequences are,and how it can be mitigated during *** theoretical framing we derive from our review provides construction organizations and their projects with a realization that the journey to mitigating rework begins with creating an error-mastery culture comprising authentic leadership,psychological safety,an errormanagement orientation,and *** suggest that,once an error-mastery culture is established within construction organizations and their projects,they will be better positioned to realize the benefits of the techniques,tools,and technologies espoused to address rework,such as the Last Planner® and building information *** also provide directions for future research and identify implications for practice so that strides toward rework mitigation in construction can be made.

Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy allows the study of cellular biochemistry and metabolism, both in the whole body in vivo and at higher magnetic field strengths in vitro. Since the technique is non-invasive and non-selective, magnetic resonance spectroscopy methodologies have been widely applied in biochemistry and medicine. In vitro magnetic resonance spectroscopy studies of cells, body fluids and tissues have been used in medical biochemistry to investigate pathophysiologi- cal processes and more recently, the technique has been used by physicians to determine disease abnormalities in vivo. This highlighted topic illustrates the potential of in vitro magnetic resonance spectroscopy in studying the hepatobiliary system. The role of in vitro proton and phosphorus magnetic resonance spectroscopy in the study of malignant and non-malignant liver disease and bile composition studies are discussed, particularly with reference to correlative in vivo whole-body magnetic resonance spectroscopy applications. In summary, magnetic resonance spectroscopy techniques can provide non-invasive biochemical information on disease severity and pointers to underlying pathophysiological processes. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy holds potential promise as a screening tool for disease biomarkers, as well as assessing therapeutic response.
