f.iction stir welding （f.W） and stationary shoulder f.iction stir welding （SSf.W） were carried out f.r the butt joining of.dissimilar AA2024-T3 and AA7050-T7651 aluminium alloys with thicknesses of.2 mm. A comparison between the two processes was perf.rmed by varying the welding speed while keeping the rotational speed constant, Through the analysis of.the f.rce and torque produced during welding and a simple analytical model, it was possible to show that in SSf.W there is more ef.ective coupling with the tool and the heat produced is more ef.iciently distributed. This process decreases both the welding area and the dif.usion at the interf.ce of.the two alloys compared with f.W. The minimum microhardness occurred at the advancing side （AS） at the interf.ce between the thermo-mechanically af.ected zone （TMAZ） and the stir zone （SZ） in both processes, although the decrease was more gradual in SSf.W. This interf.ce is also where all specimens f.iled f.r both welding technologies. An increase in tensile strength was measured in SSf.W compared with standard f.W. f.rthermore, it was possible to establish the mechanical perf.rmance of.the material in the f.acture zone using digital image correlation.

This paper obtains the 1-soliton solution by the ansatz method f.r the proposed model that governs the propagation of.solitons through the neurons. This model is an improved one that describes the solitons in neurosciences more accurately. The ansatz method is applied to obtain the 1-soliton solution to the model. The Lie symmetry analysis is subsequently applied to obtain the conservation laws f.r the model.

Halide anions X-are known to show a decreasing proton af.inity(PA),as X descends in the periodic table along series f.Cl,Br and *** it is also well-known that,along this series,the halogen atom X becomes less electronegative(or more electropositive).This corresponds to an increasing energy of.the valence np atomic orbital(AO) which,somewhat contradictorily,suggests that the electron donor capability and thus the PA of.the halides should increase along the series f.Cl,Br,*** reconcile these contradictory observations,we have carried out a detailed theoretical analysis of.the electronic structure and bonding capability of.the halide anions X-as well as the halogen radicals X-,using the molecular orbital(MO) models contained in Kohn-Sham density f.nctional theory(Df.,at SAOP/TZ2P as well as OLYP/TZ2P levels) and ab initio theory(at the Hf.TZ2P level).We also resolve an apparent intrinsic contradiction in Hartree-f.ck theory between orbital-energy and PA *** results of.our analyses are of.direct relevance f.r understanding elementary organic reactions such as nucleophilic substitution(SN2) and base-induced elimination(E2) reactions.

Heavy metals were analyzed in dif.erent f.ods crops, milk, meat and blood samples collected f.om dif.erent age group subjects such as children （1–12 years）, adolescent （12–18 years）, adults （18–45 years） and old age （above 45 and 55 years f.r males and f.males, respectively） f.om polluted and relatively less polluted areas. The results revealed that the consumption of.contaminated f.od crops, meat and milk have signif.cantly increased the concentrations of.selected metals in the human blood. Cu, Zn and Mn concentrations were signif.cantly higher （p 0.05） in the blood samples collected f.om the polluted area as compared to control area. Old people had accumulated high concentrations of.metals as compared to the younger ones within the same area. Males accumulated higher concentrations of.metals as compared to f.males.

Langmuir probe measurements of.radio f.equency （Rf. magnetic pole enhanced inductively coupled （MaPE-ICP） argon plasma were accomplished to obtain the electron number densities and electron temperatures. The measurements were carried out with a f.xed Rf.f.equency of.13.56 MHz in a pressure range of.7.5 mTorr to 75 mTorr at an applied Rf.power of.10 W and 100 W. These results are compared with a global （volume average） model. The results show good agreement between theoretical and experimental measurements. The electron number density shows an increasing trend with both Rf.power and pressure while the electron temperature shows decreasing trend as the pressure increases. The dif.erence in the plasma potentiM and f.oating potential as a f.nction of.electron temperature measured f.om the electrical probe and that obtained theoretically shows a linear relation with a small dif.erence in the coef.icient of.proportionality. The intensity of.the emission line at 750.4 nm due to 2pl → 1s2 （Paschen＇s notation） transition closely f.llows the variation of.ne with Rf.power and f.lling gas pressure. Measured electron energy probability f.nction （EEPf. shows that electron occupation changes mostly in the high-energy tail, which highlights close similarity of.750.4 nm argon line to he.

A complex mucosal barrier protects as the f.rst line of.def.nse the surf.ce of.the healthy intestinal tract f.om adhesion and invasion by luminal microorganisms. In this review, we provide an overview about the major components of.this protective system as f.r example an intact epithelium, the synthesis of.various antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) and the f.rmation of.the mucus layer. We highlight the crucial importance of.their correct f.nctioning f.r the maintenance of.a proper intestinal f.nction and the prevention of.dysbiosis and disease. Barrier disturbances including a def.ctive production of.AMPs, alterations in thickness or composition of.the intestinal mucus layer, alterations of.pattern-recognition receptors, def.cts in the process of.autophagy as well as unresolved endoplasmic reticulum stress result in an inadequate host protection and are thought to play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of.the inf.ammatory bowel diseases Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

The main classical schools of.Chinese philosophy can be characterized as process thinking and their concepts are related to those of.Whitehead＇s philosophy of.organism. （Neo-）Conf.cianism, Daoism, and Chinese Buddhism all f.nd their roots in the Yi ding with a strong emphasis on human experience of.the f.ux of.time. These Eastern and Western world views allow attempts to consciously experience experiential reality in terms of.immanent transcendence. These attempts are discussed also by considering the f.nctioning of.the human brain, emphasizing the importance of.brain asymmetry.

More rapid triaging of.patients suspected f.r acute myocardial inf.rction (AMI) is needed to f.cilitate early initiation of.appropriate therapy in patients with AMI and to exclude low-risk patients who can saf.ly be sent home. Heart-type f.tty acid-binding protein (H-f.BP) is established to be the earliest available plasma marker f.r AMI diagnosis. There is a paucity of.data on circulating levels of.H-f.BP in the general population. In this study we applied a H-f.BP immunoassay with improved analytical perf.rmance to assess plasma H-f.BP ref.rence values in a relatively large group (n = 443) of.healthy subjects aged 18-69 y. Mean (±SD) plasma H-f.BP concentration was 1.7 ± 0.9 ng/mL, with somewhat higher values f.und in males than in f.males. Plasma H-f.BP also increases with age, as previously reported. The 99th centile was obtained f.r subjects aged 41-69 years and amounted to 5.6 ng/mL.

The f.iction coef.icient, wear rate, and wear coef.icient of.the aluminum metal surf.ce were measured at room temperature ( approximately 300 K) with a pin-on-disk machine at a f.xed load of.196.2 N. Two dif.erent testing conf.gurations were adopted: (1) aluminum pin vs. Helix oil-on-steel disk (AHS) and (2) aluminum pin vs. 10% Polytron plus 90% helix oil-on-steel disk (APS). In the AHS conf.guration, the wear of.the aluminum surf.ce was f.und to be approximately 70 mu m; however, in the APS conf.guration the wear dropped to 20 mu m, revealing a marked decrement of.one-third of.the wear of.aluminum. The volume wear rate of.the metal in the unaided Helix oil was estimated to be 1.2810 super(-3) mm super(3)/min. The additive minimized the volume wear rate of.the aluminum metal by orders of.magnitude to 6.0810 super(-5) mm super(3)/min. Similarly, the wear coef.icient of.the aluminum pin, calculated in the AHS conf.guration, rendered a value of.1.2710 super(-10) m super(2)/N. In the APS conf.guration, the same parameter was 4.2210 super(-11) m super(2)/N, that is to say, an order of.magnitude lower than the preceding value. The observed coef.icient of.f.iction f.r aluminum is 0.012 in Helix oil and f.lls to a remarkably lower value of.0.004 through the Polytron additive. The experimental f.ndings demonstrate that Polytron additive substantially lessens the wear of.the aluminum surf.ce; in ef.ect, the wear coef.icient and the wear rate decline linearly. This singularity may be linked to the ability of.Polytron to impregnate the crystal structure of.the metal due to its ionic character and the consequent adherence to the metallic surf.ce as a hard surf.ce layer.

Purpose: The ability to identif. the scholarship of.individual authors is essential f.r perf.rmance evaluation. A number of.f.ctors hinder this endeavor. Common and similarly spelled surnames make it dif.icult to isolate the scholarship of.individual authors indexed on large databases. Variations in name spelling of.individual scholars f.rther complicates matters. Common f.mily names in scientif.c powerhouses like China make it problematic to distinguish between authors possessing ubiquitous and/or anglicized surnames(as well as the same or similar f.rst names). The assignment of.unique author identif.ers provides a major step toward resolving these dif.iculties. We maintain, however, that in and of.themselves, author identif.ers are not suf.icient to f.lly address the author uncertainty problem. In this study we build on the author identif.er approach by considering commonalities in f.elded data between authors containing the same surname and f.rst initial of.their f.rst name. We illustrate our approach using three case ***/methodology/approach: The approach we advance in this study is based on commonalities among f.elded data in search results. We cast a broad initial net—i.e., a Web of.Science(WOS) search f.r a given author's last name, f.llowed by a comma, f.llowed by the f.rst initial of.his or her f.rst name(e.g., a search f.r ‘John Doe' would assume the f.rm: ‘Doe, J'). Results f.r this search typically contain all of.the scholarship legitimately belonging to this author in the given database(i.e., all of.his or her true positives), along with a large amount of.noise, or scholarship not belonging to this author(i.e., a large number of.f.lse positives). f.om this corpus we proceed to iteratively weed out f.lse positives and retain true positives. Author identif.ers provide a good starting point—e.g., if.‘Doe, J' and ‘Doe, John' share the same author identif.er, this would be suf.icient f.r us to conclude these are one and the same individual.
