Synergistic enhancement of photocatalytic and antimicrobial efficacy of nitrogen and erbium co-doped ZnO nanoparticles

Using the chemical co-precipitation approach,a series of nitrogen(n) and erbium(Er) co-doped ZnO nanoparticles(nPs) was effectively synthesized to enhance the photocatalytic and antibacterial *** characterization techniques,including X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectro scopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),UV-vis,and photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy,were carried out to validate the evaluated photocatalytic and antibacterial *** analysis confirms the pure wurtzite ZnO phase without the presence of any secondary *** analysis confirms the succe ssful incorporation of nitrogen and erbium into the ZnO *** optical bandgap of ZnO calculated from UV-vis spectroscopy shows a redshift after Er-n co-doping,with the lowest bandgap of 3.215 eV calculated for Zn_(0.97)Er_(0.03)n_(0.01)O_(0.99) *** images demonstrate the formation of nanorods after n-Er co-doping,followed by gradually increase d rod diameter and length after n-Er ***,the photocatalytic activities of ZnO samples we re measured by their ability to facilitate the photodegradation of Rhodamine B under UV *** with 1 mol% n doping exhibits 88% photodegradation of RhB under UV light within 360 min,and the photodegradation and antibacterial activity are greatly improved with Er *** fact,3 mol% Er-1 mol% n doped ZnO nPs demonstrate the highest photocatalytic activity,with approximately 96% degradation after 360 min,as well as superior antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus(Gram-positive bacteria) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa(Gram-negative bacteria) with the highest zone of inhibition(ZOI) of 16 nm,due to nanorod formation,increased reactive oxygen species(ROS),and decreased electron-hole recombination,as validated by SEM,XPS,and PL spectroscopy.

The paper presents a new Z-source inverter with a low-stress reduction in the voltage of capacitors compared to the traditional Z-source inverter with the same boost factor. The proposed structure reduces costs and weight by reducing voltage *** main difference between this inverter and the traditional Z-source inverter lies in the arrangement of the components. In addition, the superiority of the proposed inverter over the L-Z-source inverter is related to the use of two capacitors instead of two diodes, which increases the boost power factor and obviates the need for the snubber circuit. Furthermore, another advantage of the proposed inverter can be extended to n cases in cascade form and the proposed inverter is continues current. The analysis,derivation of boost factor, capacitor voltages, voltages gain,and switch stress of the proposed inverter topology are carried out and are compared with the similar *** advantages of the proposed structure are verified by simulation and implementation.

This article presents an integrated current mode configurable analog block(CAB)system for field-programmable analog array(FPAA).The proposed architecture is based on the complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS)transistor level design where MOSFET transistors operating in the saturation region are *** proposed CAB architecture is designed to implement six of thewidely used current mode operations in analog processing systems:addition,subtraction,integration,multiplication,division,and pass *** functionality of the proposed CAB is demonstrated through these six operations,where each operation is chosen based on the user’s selection in the CAB interface *** architecture of the CAB system proposes an optimized way of designing and integrating only three functional cells with the interface circuitry to achieve the six ***,optimized programming and digital tuning circuitry are implemented in the architecture to control and interface with the functional ***,these designed programming and tuning circuitries play an essential role in optimizing the performance of the proposed *** of the proposed CMOS Transistor Based CAB system is carried out using Tanner EDA Tools in 0.35μm standard CMOS *** design uses a±1.5 V power supply and results in maximum 3 dB bandwidth of 34.9 MHz and an approximate size of 0.0537 *** demonstrates the advantages of the design over the current state-of-the-art designs presented for comparison in this ***,the proposed design has a clear aspect of simplicity,low power consumption,and high bandwidth operation,which makes it a suitable candidate for mobile telecommunications applications.

BACKGROUnD Recently,neonatal abstinence syndrome(nAS)emerged as a significant global concern with a dramatic increase in healthcare *** incidence of the nAS has increased notably in the past decade and emergence as a global public health *** To evaluate the development and trend of global nAS research from 1958 to 2019 by bibliometric *** Analyzed aspects included publication output per year,language,document types,journals,countries/territories,h-index,authors,and top research *** VOSviewer was used to determine the top research priorities,and trends,and to present bibliometric networks concerning various dimensions,such as coauthorship,authors,and *** A total of 1738 articles were retrieved in the Scopus database from 1958 to *** was found that the great majority of the total nAS documents(n=1295)were original articles followed by reviews(n=268)and letters(n=48).The most productive countries in the nAS field were the United States(n=833),Canada(n=112),the United Kingdom(n=111),and Germany(n=77).Treatment and hospital outcomes in nAS,evidence-based nurse-driven interventions for the care of newborns with nAS,and a systematic reviews and network meta-analysis for therapeutic approaches of nAS were found in recent years(after 2010),compared with terms such as pathophysiology,mechanisms of nAS,and signs and symptoms in the early *** Treatment and pediatric outcomes and the effectiveness of pharmacological treatment may be frontiers in the nAS field,and continued efforts from researchers are needed in those topics.

A simple, low-cost, and home-built electrostatic spray deposition （ESD） system with the stable cone-jet mode was used to deposit nickel oxide （niO） thin films on glass substrates kept at temperature of 400 ℃ as the primary precursor solution of 0.1 M concentration hydrated nickel chloride was dissolved in isopropyl alcohol. Electrical measurements showed that these films were of n-type conductivity while their resistance response to hydrogen flow in air ambient was varied by 2.81% with the rise and recovery time of 48 s and 40 s, respectively.

Combustion within small motors is key in the application-specific development of nanothermite-based micro-energetic systems. This study evaluates the performance of nanothermite mixtures in a converging-diverging nozzle and an open tube. Mixtures were prepared using nano-aluminum(n.al),potassium perchlorate(KClO_(4)), and different carbon nanomaterials(CnMs) including graphene-oxide(GO), reduced GO, carbon nanotubes(CnTs) and nanofibers(CnFs). The mixtures were packed at different densities and ignited by laser beam. Performance was measured using thrust measurement,high-speed imaging, and computational fluid dynamics modeling, respectively. Thrust, specific impulse(ISP), volumetric impulse(ISV), as well as normalized energy were found to increase notably with CnM content. Two distinctive reaction regimes(fast and slow) were observed in combustion of low and high packing densities(20% and 55%TMD), respectively. Total impulse(IFT) and ISPwere maximized in the 5%GO/al/KClO_4 mixture, producing 7.95 m n·s and 135.20 s respectively at 20%TMD, an improvement of 57%compared to a GO-free sample(5.05 m n·s and 85.88 s). CFD analysis of the motors over predicts the thrust generated but trends in nozzle layout and packing density agree with those observed experimen.ally;peak force was maximized by reducing packing density and using an open tube. The numerical force profiles fit better for the nozzle cases than the open tube scenarios due to the rapid nature of combustion. This study reveals the potential of GO in improving oxygenated salt-based nanothermites,and further demonstrates their applicability for micro-propulsion and micro-energetic applications.
