We applied the wavelet methodology for our earlier published research work of the chaotic behavior so called multiplicity fluctuations of secondary charged particles produced during the nucleus-nucleus (A-A) collisions at an energy of the order of ≈ 409 GeV in a new fashion. We illustrated the wavelet coherency in a relation of chaotic behavior for above said data of secondary charged pions in different phase spaces of collisions such as: η-space, φ-space (in one dimension) and ηφ-space (in two dimensions) respectively. We have shown the changes in the wavelet coherence when there are different values of two parameters “q” and “p”. We discussed our new results for the comparison purpose and findings were in the good agreements.

AIM: To investigate the reactivity of a panel of 8 mouse anti-hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) using a collection of 9 recombinant HBsAg mutants with a variety of amino acid substitutions mostly located within the “a” ***: The entire HBs genes previously cloned into a mammalian expression vector were transiently transfected into COS7 cells. Two standard unmutated sequences of the ayw and adw subtypes served as controls. Secreted mutant proteins were collected and measured by three commercial diagnostic immunoassays to assess transfection efficiency. Reactivity of anti-HBs mAbs with mutated HBsAgs was determined by sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).RESULTS: Reactivity of anti-HBs mAbs with mutated HBsAgs revealed different patterns. While three mutants reacted strongly with all mAbs, two mutants reacted weakly with only two mAbs and the remaining proteins displayed variable degrees of reactivity towards different mAbs. Accordingly, four groups of mAbs with different but overlapping reactivity patterns could be envisaged. One group consisting of two mAbs (37C5-S7 and 35C6-S11) was found to recognize stable linear epitopes conserved in all mutants. Mutations outside the “a” determinant at positions 120 (P→S), 123(T→N) and 161(M→T) were found to affect reactivity of these ***: Our findings could have important implications for biophysical studies, vaccination strategies and immunotherapy of hepatitis B virus (HBV) mutants.

61 varieties of wheat collected in the gene fund of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry were screened using SCAR-markers associated with the gene of resistance to brown leaf rust, Lr19. As a result of PCR analysis using SCS123 marker the 737 bp locus was detected in 48 genotypes. The expected fragment of the 688 bp was detected in 53 genotypes using the SCS253 marker. The results obtained using both markers indicate that the Lr19 gene is present on 7D chromosomes of 45 genotypes. The existence of the Lr19 gene has not been proven only for 5 from the 61 analyzed wheat genotypes.

Background: Late intrauterine foetal death (IUFD > 28 weeks) is a tragedy to mothers and family members. The first step to reduce IUFD is to obtain an accurate and detailed data for IUFD. The present study was done to identify the probable causes of foetal death and determine the risk of recurrence, prevention or corrective action. Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted in a tertiary hospital during a period of one year in Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital Medical college, from January to December 2018, on all admitted pregnant women with intrauterine foetal death (>28 weeks). Detailed history, clinical examination, associated conditions, mode of delivery, foetal conditions, placenta, condition of cord and investigation reports were analyzed. Hydro-Meteorological Trends in Southwest Coastal Bangladesh: Perspectives of Climate Change and Human Interventions

The southwest coastal region of Bangladesh, being under tidal influence and dependent on sweet water supplies from upstream, has a unique brackish water ecosystem. The region, having vast low-lying areas enclosed by man-made polders, is considered to be highly vulnerable to climate change induced hazards. In this study, linear trends in hydro-climatic variables, such as temperature, rainfall, sunshine, humidity, sweet water inflow and tidal water level in the region are assessed using secondary data and following both parametric and nonparametric statistical techniques. Correlation between the sweet water flow from the Gorai River, a major distributary of the Ganges River, and the salinity level in the Rupsa-Pasur River near Khulna, a southern metropolis, is also investigated. The results reveal that the temperature in the Khulna region is increasing at a significant rate, particularly in recent years. The number of extremely cold nights is decreasing and the heat index is increasing. The sunshine duration has a decreasing trend and the humidity has an increasing trend. Rainfall is increasing in terms of both magnitude and number of rainy days. However, the annual maximum rainfall and the number of days with high intensity rainfall have remained almost static. The annual maximum tidal high water level is increasing and the annual minimum low water level is decreasing at a rate of 7 - 18 mm and 4 - 8 mm per year, respectively. There is a negative correlation between the Gorai flow and the river water salinity around Khulna. Dredging of the Gorai during 1998-2001 resulted in an improvement of the salinity situation in the Khulna region. The variation in water salinity, tidal water level and sweet water flows in different time periods indicates that the human interventions through upstream diversion and coastal polders have contributed more in hydro-morphological changes in the southwest than the climate change. Two tolerant (BB24 and BB43) and two susceptible (BARI busbean-2 and BB04) genotypes of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) were evaluated for their water status and its relationship with reproductive responses under continuous water stress (50% field capacity) and control (80% field capacity) conditions in a net house covered with polyethylene sheet at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Bangladesh. Under water stress condition, the susceptible genotype namely BB04 exhibited more negative leaf water potential (LWP) which was followed by that of BARI bushbean-2 in all the time of the day except at noon. The tolerant genotype namely BB24 exhibited less negative LWP at noon. The tolerant genotypes maintained higher relative water content (WRC) than the susceptible ones from dawn to dusk. The relationship between RWC and LWP was examined separately for four genotypes under water stress condition. The genotype BB24 showed a smaller decrease in RWC with more negative LWP than BB04. Water stress reduced pod setting ratio. The relationship between the leaf water status and reproductive responses showed that the genotype with a little reduction in mid-day drop of RWC or with high mid-day RWC displayed a high pod setting ratio.

Objective:To explore the in vitro antibacterial potential of the peel of Cucurbita moschata Duchesne(tropical pumpkin)(***)against human pathogenic ***:In the present study,dichloromethane(DCM),methanol(MEOH)and aqueous extracts of *** peel were examined for in vitro antibacterial potency against eight bacterial strains *** cereus,Burkholderia cepacia,Escherichia coli,Enterococcus faecalis,Staphyloccocus aureus,Pseudomonas aerugenosa,Vibrio alginolyticus,Vibrio parahaemolyticus using Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion susceptibility and broth micro-dilution ***:DCM extract of pumpkin peel exhibited the maximum zone of inhibition against Staphyloccocus aureus(21 mm)whereas aqueous extract of pumpkin peel revealed the least zone of inhibition against Escherichia coli(8 mm).MEOH extract gave maximum zone of inhibition against Pseudomonas aerugenosa(19 mm).Broth micro-dilution method showed minimum inhibitory concentration for the DCM extract against Burkholderia cepacia at 6.25 mg/*** minimum bactericidal concentrations were also determined to know the nature of all *** and MEOH extracts exhibited bactericidal nature to all bacterial strains except for the Vibrio *** minimum bactericidal concentrations values exhibited bactericidal nature ranging from 3.12 mg/mL to 100.00 mg/*** screening of antimicrobial properties of different extracts of *** peel revealed that the DCM extract possessed good antimicrobial efficacy compared to MEOH and aqueous ***:Peel of *** possesses antibacterial compounds and could be potential source for a new class of antibiotics.

In the recent years,TNCs(transportation network companies)and on-demand ridesharing services have grown *** conflicting reports on TNC impacts,a need exists to study mode choice shifts in the presence of TNC services and their effects on urban *** Birmingham,AL(Alabama)as a case study,this paper showcases the feasibility of modeling TNC services using the MATSim(Multi-Agent Transport Simulation)platform,and evaluating the impact of such services on traffic *** used for the study were gathered from Uber drivers and riders through surveys,as well as the US *** results indicate that when 200,400,and 800 TNC vehicles are added to the network,the VKT(vehicle kilometers traveled)increase by 22%,23.6%,and 23.2%,respectively,compared to the baseline scenario(no TNC service).Analysis of hourly average speeds,hourly average travel times,and hourly volumes along study corridors further indicate that TNC services increase traffic congestion,in particular,during the AM/PM peak ***,the study shows that the optimal TNC fleet size for the Birmingham region is 400 to 500 active TNC vehicles per *** fleet size minimizes idle time and the number of TNC vehicles hovering,which have adverse impacts on TNC drivers,and the environment while ensuring TNC service availability and reasonable waiting times for TNC customers.

Background: Lung cancer is among the most common cancers. Search is ongoing to find biomarkers to improve the diagnosis lung cancer techniques in early stages. In this study we evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the MUC1 and CEA gene expressions in the peripheral blood of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Material and Methods: This study was done in Masih Daneshvari Hospital, Tehran, Iran and was case/control study that conducted on 30 NSCLC patients and 30 healthy controls. Peripheral blood was collected and total RNA was extracted then cDNA was synthesized. Sample was separately assessed by real time PCR. Results: The expression of CEA gen was positive in 24 patients indicating 80% sensitivity for this marker. The expression of CEA gen was positive in 9 controls out of 30 each. A statistically significant difference was detected between patients and healthy controls with regard to CEA mRNA expression (P 0.001). The MUC1 gen expressed in 20 out of 30 patients, while it expressed in 3 controls. The difference in MUC1 mRNA expression was statistically significant between NSCLC patients and healthy controls (P 0.001). Conclusion: MUC1 and CEA are molecular biomarkers with relatively favorable sensitivity for primary diagnosis of NSCLC.
