Effect of in ovo ghrelin administration on serum malondialdehyde level in newly-hatched chickens

Objective:To investigate effects of in ovo ghrelin administration on serum malondialdehyde(MDA)level in newly-hatched ***:Fertilized eggs were divided into 7 groups:group Tl as control(without injection),group T2(in ovo injected with 50 ng/egg ghrelin on day 5),group T3(in ovo injected with 100 ng/egg ghrelin on day 5),group T4(in ovo injected with 50 ng/egg ghrelin on day 10),group T5(in ovo injected with 100 ng/egg ghrelin on day 10),group T6(in ovo injected with solvent:1%acetic acid,without ghrelin on day 5)and group T7(in ovo injected with solvent without ghrelin on day 10).After hatching,serum MDA concentrations were ***:Chrelin administrated groups(T2,T3,T4 and T5)had lower serum MDA level in comparison with control group(T1)or solvent injected groups(T6 and T7).T2 and T3(ghrelin injection on day 5)had significantly lower MDA concentrations(4.10 and 4.60 nmol/mL,respectively)in comparison with other *** T4 and T5,MDA levels were lower than T1,T6 and T7(non-ghrelin administrated groups)(9.53 and 9.50 in comparison with 10.73,10.03 and 10.13 nmol/mL)and were higher than T2and ***:It can be concluded that in ovo administration of ghrelin can have antioxidative protection and reduce serum MDA *** administration on day 5 of incubation is more efficient.

In the last decade, Daubechies’ wavelets have been successfully used in many signal processing paradigms. The construction of these wavelets via two channel perfect reconstruction filter bank requires the identification of necessary conditions that the coefficients of the filters and the roots of binomial polynomials associated with them should exhibit. In this paper, orthogonal and Biorthogonal Daubechies families of wavelets are considered and their filters are derived. In particular, the Biorthogonal wavelets Bior3.5, Bior3.9 and Bior6.8 are examined and the zeros distribution of their polynomials associated filters are located. We also examine the locations of these zeros of the filters associated with the two orthogonal wavelets db6 and db8.

Objective: To determine the phytochemical characterization and antibacterial activity of Melissa oi cinalis essential oil against bacteria responsible for nosocomial ***: The phytochemical characterization of essential oil was evaluated using gas chromatography-flame ionization detector and gas chromatography-mass spectrometer analysis. Antibacterial activity of the oil was tested against four bacterial strains responsible for nosocomial infections: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumonia, Staphylococcus aureus and Citrobacter koseri using disc dif usion ***: Thirty three components were identified representing 89.30% of the total oil composition. The yield of essential oil was 0.4% and the predominant components were citronellal(14.40%), isogeraniol(6.40%), geraniol acetate(10.20%), nerol acetate(5.10%), caryophyllene(8.10%) and β-caryophyllene oxide(11.00%). Antibacterial activity of the oil showed the higher activity against all bacterial strains ***: The essential oil extracted from lemon balm can be used to clean the environment of reanimation polyvalent and anesthesia service.

INTRODUCTION Despite the known benefits of antipsychotic medications,they have been associated with increased risks of cardiometabolic side ***-induced adverse cardiometabolic effects,such as weight gain,high blood pressure,alterations in glucose metabolism and lipid dysregulation,are well-recognised risk factors for cardiovascular diseases(CVDs)and diabetes.1 Clinical guidelines call for regular physical health assessments and laboratory monitoring as a means to prevent and detect adverse cardiometabolic effects of antipsychotic ***,recent evidence suggests that cardiovascular condi-tions remain the key causes of death among people using antipsychotic medications,suggesting suboptimal screening and moni-toring *** cardiometabolic screening among antipsychotic users can hinder the early detection of high-risk people and delay receiving proper management.

Some physical and mechanical properties of cumin seed were obtained as moisture content changed from 7.24%to 21.38%*** of moisture content was found to increase the seed length(5.14-5.58 mm),width(1.33-1.55 mm),thickness(0.97-1.05 mm),arithmetic mean diameter(2.48-2.73),geometric mean diameter(1.88-2.09 mm),surface area(10.34-12.66 mm^(2)),thousand seed weight(2.9-3.9 g),porosity(51.22%-64.11%),true density(917.8-1030.6 kg/m3),static angle of repose(43-49 deg),dynamic angle of repose(47-56.6 deg),and coefficient of static friction on the three surfaces:glass(0.48-0.77),galvanized iron sheet(0.36-0.73),and plywood(0.57-0.69).However,bulk density was found to decrease from 447.66-369.88 kg/m3,and rupture force and rupture energy along with seed length and width were found to decrease from 83.74-56.17 N,132.95-84.47 N,50.66-27.52 mJ,and 67.8 to 33.36 mJ,*** sphericity increased from 36.63%to 37.5%with increasing in moisture content from 7.24%to 14.5%*** then reduced to 37.5%with further increase in moisture content to 21.38%d.b.

Superior semicircular canal dehiscence (SSCD) is a rare entity recently described whose typical clinical symptomatology is represented by dizziness triggered by a variation of pressure. We reported a case of SSCD which was diagnosed thanks to computed tomography (CT) scan of the petrous bone conducted systematically in front of mixed deafness with normal eardrum. The SSCD was bilateral and was revealed by mixed deafness on the left side and perception deafness on the right with a normal eardrum without the notion of vertigo. The cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potential (cVEMP) and an ultra-high resolution CT scan of the petrous bones in coronal and sagittal sections allowed the diagnosis. The SSCD should be considered in the presence of any conductive or mixed hearing loss with a normal eardrum. The CT scan in coronal and sagittal submillimetric sections allows the diagnosis.

The peculiarities of leaf carbon dioxide gas exchange in soybean genotypes grown in field over a large area and contrasting in duration of vegetation, photosynthetic traits and productivity were studied. Varietal differences in the daily and ontogenetic changes in photosynthesis and photorespiration were identified. It was established that the period of the high activity of photosynthetic apparatus in high productive soybean genotypes lasts for a longer time. The photosynthetic rate and the rate of CO2 release in light due to photorespiration are higher in high productive genotypes. A value of photorespiration in contrasting soybean genotypes constitutes about 28% - 35% of photosynthetic rate. The ratio of gross photosynthesis to photorespiration in genotypes with different productivity is constant enough during ontogenesis, indicating a direct positive correlation between gross photosynthesis and photorespiration. Therefore, contrary to conception arisen during many years on the waste-fulness of photorespiration, taking into account the versatile investigations on different aspects of photo-respiration, it was proved that photorespiration is one of the evolutionarily developed vital metabolic processes in plants and the attempts to reduce this process with the purpose of increasing the crop productivity are inconsistent.
