This paper proposes an autopilot system that can be used to control the small scale rotorcraft during the flight test for linear-frequency-domain system identification. The input frequency-sweep is generated automatically as part of the autopilot control command. Therefore the bandwidth coverage and consistency of the frequency-sweep are guaranteed to produce high quality data for system identification. Beside that, we can set the safety parameters during the flight test （maximum roll/pitch value, minimum altitude, etc.） so the safety of the whole flight test is guaranteed. This autopilot system is validated using hardware in the loop simulator for hover flight condition.

The catalytic oxidative cou pling of methane(OCM)to C_(2) hydrocarbons(C_(2)H_(6) and C_(2)H_(4))represents one of the most effective ways to convert natural gas to more useful products,which can be performed effectively using La_(0.6)Sr0.4Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_(3-δ)(LSCF)perovskite hollow fiber membrane *** this work,the effects of adding a thin BaCe_(0.8)Gd_(0.2)O_(3-δ)(BCG)catalyst film onto the inner LSCF fiber surface as the OCM catalyst and a porous Ba0.5Sr_(0.5)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_(3-δ)(BSCF)perovskite layer onto the outer LSCF surface to improve the oxygen permeation were *** 700℃and 1000℃,methane conversion increased in the order of uncoated,BCG and BSCF-coated,and BCG-coated LSCF hollow fiber while Coselectivity and C_(2)-yield increased in the order of BCG and BSCF-coated,uncoated,and BCG-coated LSCF hollow *** permeation flux at the same temperature range,on the other hand,was enhanced in the order of uncoated,BCG-coated,and BCG and BSCF-coated LSCF hollow *** finding demonstrates the complex interplay between oxygen permeation and OCM *** BCG and BSCFcoated hollow fiber was also subjected to thermal cycles between 850℃and 900℃for up to 175 hours during which the fiber showed minor degradation in oxygen permeation fluxes and relatively stable OCM performance.

Equilibrium, kinetic and thermodynamic aspects of the adsorption of copper ions from an aqueous solution using linear alkylbenzene sulfonate （LABORA- TORIES） modified bentonite （organo-bentonite） are reported. Modification of bentonite was performed via microwave heating with a concentration of LABORA- TORIES surfiactant equivalent to 1.5 times that of the cation exchange capacity （CEC） of the raw bentonite. Experimental parameters affecting the adsorption process such as pH, contact time and temperature were studied. Several adsorption equations （e.g., Langmuir, Freundlich, Sips and Toth） with temperature dependency were used to correlate the equilibrium data. These models were evaluated based on the theoretical justifications of each isotherm parameter. The Sips model had the best fit for the adsorption of copper ions onto organo-bentonite. For the kinetic data, the pseudo-second order model was superior to the pseudo-first order model. Thermodynamically, the adsorption of copper ions occurs via chemisorption and the process is endothermic （△H^0〉0）, irreversible （△S^0〉0） and nonspontaneous （△G^0〉0）.

Enhancement of oxygen evolution reaction activity and durability of Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ by CO2 thermal treatment

This work demonstrates that in situ formation of carbonate layer on the surface of Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ(BSCF)obtained by exposure to CO2 during heating between 500℃ and 700℃ can provide enhanced oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance and durability in an alkaline solution relative to the original *** temperatures,i.e., 500℃,600℃,and 700℃ were chosen to perform the CO2 thermal treatment,resulting into BSCF-500,BSCF-600,and BSCF-700 *** OER was enhanced in the order of BSCF-500< BSCF-700 < BSCF-600. BSCF-600 showed the best OER performance, i.e., a low overpotential of 0.36 V required to attain 10 mA cm^-2 current density as well as a mass activity of 74.14 Agcmcat-1 and a specific activity of 5.04 mA cmcat-2 at an overpotential of 0.4 V. The OER performance durability of BSCF-600 was highlighted by its ability to maintain a stable potential of around 1.61 V vs. RHE (RHE: reversible hydrogen electrode) when charged at a constant current density of 10 mA cm^-2 throughout the 800 min continuous chronopotentiometry test. The enhanced OER performance for BSCF-600 relative to the original BSCF is attributed to three factors:(i) higher electrochemically active surface area;(ii) faster charge transfer rate and higher electrical conductivity;and (iii) modified oxidation state of cobalt ions. The formation of thin carbonate layer in BSCF-600 appears to suppress the durability issue observed in BSCF.

The rational modification of perovskite oxides(ABO3−δ)is essential to improve the efficiency and stability of oxygen *** engineering represents a facile approach to modify perovskites for enhanced *** compositional design and in situ exsolution,a Ru-doped(La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2))_(0.9)Co_(0.1)Fe_(0.8)Ru_(0.1)O_(3−δ)(LSCFR)perovskite anchored with CoFe(Ru)alloy particles on the surface was fabricated for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in this *** results and calculations indicate that Ru-doping promotes the exsolution of CoFe(Ru)from the perovskite *** exsolution in the reduced atmosphere for 3 h,the catalyst(LSCFR-3)exhibited superior OER performance with an overpotential of 347 mV and a Tafel slope of 54.65 mV·dec^(−1),and showed good stability in contrast to the pristine *** exsolution of CoFe(Ru)particles,Ru doping,and the increase of surface oxygen vacancies are responsible for the enhancement of OER *** findings obtained in this study highlight the possibility of controlling exsolution and composition of nanoparticles by element doping and prove that in situ exsolution is an effective strategy for designing OER catalysts.

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)is one of the most widely used vibrational diagnostic techniques to investigate gas-phase reactive oxygen and nitrogen species(RONS).However,the technique carries intrinsic challenges,particularly in relation to interfering peaks in the spectral *** study explores the interfacial processes that occur when reactive oxygen and nitrogen species generated by a non-equilibrium air plasma interact with the metal halide windows of an FTIR gas cell,leading to the appearance and evolution of spurious absorption peaks which complicate spectral *** spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry and attenuated total reflectance-FTIR spectroscopy were used to elucidate the origin of spurious absorption peaks spanning the 1400-1300 cm^(-1)spectral range as a result of KBr exposure to plasma generated *** was found that plasma exposed KBr contained a lower atomic fraction of Br which was replaced by the NO3nitrate group,the main absorbance peak of which progressively evolved with plasma exposure and affected the window transparency over the corresponding FTIR region.A correlation was revealed between KNO_(3)formation,plasma power and exposure time to a growth and change in molecular vibrational energies corresponding to asymmetric NO3stretching vibrations in the KNO_(3)structure.

Although room temperature ionic liquids(ILs)have emerged as potential next-generation electrolytes for their wide electrochemical stability window(ESW),the trade-off between this window and viscosity has hindered their widespread use in energy storage ***,we present for the first time that such a trade-off can be balanced by mixing two ILs with the common anion([NTf_(2)]^(-))but different cations([EMIM]^(+) and[N1114]^(+))***[EMIM]cation-based IL possesses low viscosity while the[N1114]cation-based IL exhibits wide *** the concentrations of each IL in the mixtures can result in different electrolyte properties,we demonstrate a systematic approach by exploring the properties of various concentration *** addition,the corresponding cell voltage of their resulting graphene supercapacitors(SCs)accompanied based on the interaction between the binary ionic liquid and the electrodes,and the associated electrochemical performance were studied to determine the optimum electrolyte system for the highest SC energy *** well-balanced viscosity/ESW trade-off is achieved in binary IL consisting 50 vol%[EMIM][NTf_(2)]and 50 vol%[N1114][NTf_(2)]as evident from the extraordinary electrode specific capacitance of 293.1 F g^(-1) and the ultrahigh SC energy density of 177 Wh kg^(-1),which approaches that of a lithium-ion battery.

Recent advances brought the performance of MEMS-based varifocal mirrors to levels comparable to conventional ultra-high-speed focusing *** mirrors are becoming capable of high axial resolution exceeding 300 resolvable planes,can achieve microsecond response times,continuous operation above several hundred kHz,and can be designed to combine focusing with lateral steering in a single-chip *** survey summarizes the past 50 years of scientific progress in varifocal MEMS mirrors,providing the most comprehensive study in this field to *** introduce a novel figure of merit for varifocal mirrors on the basis of which we evaluate and compare nearly all reported devices from the *** the forefront of this review is the analysis of the advantages and shortcomings of various actuation technologies,as well as a systematic study of methods reported to enhance the focusing performance in terms of speed,resolution,and shape *** believe this analysis will fuel the future technological development of next-generation varifocal mirrors reaching the axial resolution of 1000 resolvable planes.

Cabbage root fly （Delia radicum L.） control represents a major challenge in brassica production, therefore different management strategies for its control were tested in conventionally managed open field cauliflower production. Strategies included treatments with low-risk methods such as nitrogen lime, the insecticide spinosad and the Beauveria bassiana ATCC 74040-based biopesticide Naturalis. Their effects were compared with treatments based on nonformulated fungal species Metarhizium brunneum, B. bassiana, Clonostachys solani, Trichoderma atroviride, T. koningiopsis, and T. gamsii and commercial insecticides λ-cyhalothrin and thiamethoxam. Spinosad and thiamethoxam were pipetted to individual plants before transplanting; λ-cyhalothrin was sprayed after transplanting; nitrogen lime was applied at first hoeing. Nonformulated fimgi were delivered onto cauliflower plantlets＇ roots as a single pretransplantation inoculation. The cabbage root fly population dynamics exhibited a strong spatiotemporal variation. The lowest number of cabbage root fly pupae recovered from cauliflower roots in the field experiments was recorded in plants treated with spinosad （significant reduction）, followed by Naturalis and one of the tested M. brunneurn strains （nonsignificant reduction）. Significantly more pupae were counted in the nitrogen lime treatment. The field experiments showed that a single drench of cauliflower plantlets with spinosad offered consistent and enduring cabbage root fly control. Naturalis and nonformulated fungal isolates did not decrease cabbage root fly pressure significantly, apparently due to lack of statistical power. The implications of the substantial intra- and inter-annual pest pressure variation and the benefits of using single plant treatments are discussed, and recommendations for improvement of rhizosphere-competence utilizing biological control strategies provided.
