Parameters influencing the optical properties of SnS thin films

Tin sulphide （SnS） thin films have been recognized as a potential candidate for solar cells. Many fab- rication techniques have been used to grow SnS thin films. The band-gap, Eg of SnS films as reported in litera ture, were found to vary from 1.2-2.5 eV depending on the film fabrication technique. The present work reports the structural, compositional, morphological and optical characterization of SnS thin films fabricated by thermal evaporation at room temperature. Results show that for the given fabrication technique/condition, the band-gap functionally depends on the lattice parameter and grain size. The well-defined variation allows for tailoring SnS film as per requirements.

This paper analyses the performance of fullduplex(FD)dual-hop vehicular cooperative network with decode-and-forward(DF)*** FD relay nodes,we examine the effects of non-linear hybrid power time splitting(PTS)based energy harvesting(EH).All three nodes—source(S),relay(R),and destination(D)are assumed to be moving *** expressions for the system's outage probability(OP)over double(cascaded)Rayleigh fading channels are *** also analyse the impact of residual self-interference(RSI)caused at FD relay on system's *** compare the performance of system with two relay selection techniques,namely,maximum channel gain-based(Max-G)relay selection and minimum RSI-based(Min-SI)relay *** paper considers the joint effect of time splitting ratio and self-interference cancellation(SIC)level to find the optimum EH ***,the effect of time splitting ratio and average signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)on outage and throughput performance of the system are also investigated in this *** derived expressions are validated through Monte Carlo simulations.

Inhibition and attenuation of pathogenicity of Porphyromonas gingivalis by leupeptin： A review

BACKGROUND： Porphyromonas gingivalis is a periodontal pathogen, which is considered to be a keystone pathogen for periodontitis. A diverse conglomerate of P. gingivalis virulence factors including lipopolysaccharide, fimbriae, capsular polysaccharide, haemagglutinin and cysteine proteases （Arg-gingipains and Lys-gingipain） are considered to be involved in the pathogenesis ofperiodontitis. Leupeptin is a cysteine protease inhibitor which is specific for Arg gingipains. The present review focuses on action of leupeptin on Arg gingipains. METHOD： A search was carried out systematically from the start till September, 2016. The search was made in Medline database via PubMed. The keywords enlisted were ＂leupeptin＂; ＂gingipains＂; ＂periodontitis＂ using Boolean operator ＂and.＂ RESULTS： The result was selection of 58 articles which linked leupeptin to periodontitis and gingipains; pathogenesis of periodontitis, pathogenicity of gingipains and role of leupeptin. CONCLUSION： It was concluded that leupeptin inhibits and attenuates a number of destructive activities of Arg gingipains including inhibition ofplatelet aggregation; inhibit degradation of LL-37, which is an antimicrobial peptide; blocking inhibition ofmonocyte chemoattractant protein; restoring level ofinterleukin-2; inhibiting degradation of collagen type I and IV to name a few.

Cationic antimicrobial peptide： LL-37 and its role in periodontitis

BACKGROUND： Periodomitis i.e. inflammation of the periodontium is a multifactorial disease. Antimicrobial peptides （AMPs） which demonstrate a broad-spectrum of activity against varied number of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites, and cancerous cells have been linked to periodontitis. The AMPs even possess the caliber of immunomodulation, and are significantly responsive to innate immuno-stimulation and infections. LL-37 plays a salubrious role by preventing and in treatment of chronic forms of periodontitis. OBJECTIVE： In the present work we will review the role of antimicrobial peptide LL-37 in periodontitis. METHODS： A systematic search was carried out from the beginning till August, 2016 using the Pubmed search engine. The keywords included ＂LL-37,＂＂periodontitis,＂＂Papillon-Lefevre syndrome,＂＂Morbus Kostmann,＂＂Haim-Munk syndrome＂ along with use of Boolean operator ＂and.＂ RESULTS： The search resulted in identifying 67 articles which included articles linking LL-37 with periodontitis, articles on Papillon-Lefevre syndrome, Morbus Kostmann, Haim-Munk syndrome, LL-37 and periodontitis and articles on pathogenicity of periodontitis. CONCLUSION： The literature search concluded that LL-37 plays a pivotal role in preventing and treatment of severe form of periodontitis.

The present study deals with Bianchi type-IX string cosmological models for perfect fluid distribution. We consider two cases：（i） ρ ＋ λ = 0, （ii） ρ - λ = 0, where ρ and λ are the rest energy density and the tension density of a string cloud, respectively. The physical and geometrical properties of the models are discussed.

We study the phenomenon of neutrino spin-flavor oscillations due to solar magnetic *** allows us to examine how significantly the electron neutrinos produced in the solar interior undergo a resonant spin-flavor *** construct analytical models for the solar magnetic field in all the three regions of the *** spin-flavor oscillations in this magnetic field are examined by studying the level crossing phenomenon and comparing the two cases of zero and non-zero vacuum mixing *** from the Borexino experiment are used to place an upper limit on the magnetic field in the solar *** phenomena such as effects of matter on neutrino spin transitions and differences between Dirac and Majorana transitions in the solar magnetic fields are also discussed.

Population growth and development patterns have a significant impact on the environmental *** issue of concern is whether population growth or the consumption/production patterns are responsible for environmental *** paper is an attempt to capture the impact of technological development,affluence,and population on environmental performance index,while previous stuthes had captured the impact of these three factors on environment only through CO_*** analysis reveals that technological development and population size have a negative impact on environmental performance,whereas measures to improve affluence have a positive *** development has increased the production of energy efficient products but at the same time consumption of these products has increased manifold leading to environmental *** attributes need specific attention to improve environmental *** paper concludes on some policy reflections on slowing the population growth as well as persuades individuals and economies to relook to their consumption and production patterns and channelize their efforts to protect the environment.
