A Design of Swastika Shaped Wideband Microstrip Patch Antenna for GSM/WLAN Application

This paper presents a compact microstrip patch antenna at operating frequency of 2.5 GHz. The radiating element of the proposed antenna consists of Swastika symbol patch using dielectric substrate 4.2, loss tangent 0.0012 and having the same substrate height 1.6 mm. The antenna size is very compact (28.8 mm × 37.2 mm × 1.6 mm) and covers 1.696 GHz to 2.646 GHz and can be used for GSM and WLAN applications. Using IE3D software package of Zealand, the designed antenna is simulated. The computer simulation results show that the antenna can realize wideband characteristics having good impedance bandwidth of 43.758% (VSWR ≤ 2) for all resonant frequencies. Our aim is to reduce the size of the antenna as well as increase the impedance bandwidth.

多光束合成和单光束聚焦一直是提高激光束功率和功率密度的两个重要方法.结合艾里光束在自由空间中沿弯曲路径传播的特性,从数值模拟和实验两个方面,研究了利用多个一维艾里光束合成自由空间自聚焦光束的方法,并对所得到的模拟和实验结果进行了对比.采用分步束传播法,分别模拟了由四个和八个一维艾里光束合成的自聚焦光束在自由空间中的传播过程,给出了自聚焦光束在传播过程中横向和纵向的光强分布和变化趋势.采用计算全息和空间光调制器技术实验,实现了多个一维艾里光束合成的自聚焦光束.实验中分别测量了四个和八个一维艾里光束合成的自聚焦光束的横向光强分布.实验结果和理论结果符合得较好.另外,为了进一步增大自聚焦光束的功率,可以增加参与合成的一维艾里光束的数量.同时,自聚焦光束的焦距可以通过调整各个一维艾里光束的相对位置进行调节.

Objective:To evaluate the survival outcomes for a cohort of nasopharyngeal cancer with intracranial extension(ICE)treated with induction chemotherapy(ICT)followed by chemo-intensity-modulated radiotherapy(CTRT)at a tertiary cancer ***:We retrospectively analyzed 45 patients with histologically proven,non-metastatic NPC with ICE treated at our institute between October 2008 and October *** were classified as minor ICE or major ICE,based on the extent of *** the patients received 2-3 cycles of a taxane-based ICT regimen followed by *** was delivered with"riskadapted"intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)technique in all ***:After a median follow up of 45 months(range:8-113 months),the estimated 5-year DFS,LRFS,DMFS,and OS of the entire cohort was 58%,82%,67%and 74%*** multivariate analysis,histological subtype was an independent predictor of LRFS,and age was an independent predictor of *** extent of ICE showed only a trend towards worse DFS(P=0.06).None of the factors significantly predicted for DMFS or ***,N-stage,and response to ICT did not significantly affect any of the *** 2 or worse subcutaneous fibrosis was seen in 22%of patients and grade 2 or worse xerostomia was seen in 24%of patients at last follow ***-three percent of the patients developed clinical hypothyroidism at last follow *** of the patients experienced any neurological or vascular ***:Taxane-based induction chemotherapy followed by chemo-intensity modulated radiotherapy resulted in excellent locoregional control and survival with acceptable toxicities in patients of nasopharyngeal cancer with intracranial *** metastasis continues to be the predominant problem in these patients.
