ChatGPT has obvious benefits in the way it can interrogate vast amounts of reference information and utilise metadata generation to answer questions posed to it and is freely available having been developed through human feedback. Already there are ethical and practical implications on its impact on learning and research. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been seen as a way of improving healthcare provision by delivering more robust outcomes but measuring these and implementing AI within this setting is at present limited and disjointed. Methods: ChatGPT was interrogated to see what it felt were the barriers to its implementation within healthcare and in particular orthopaedic practice. The evidence for this determination was then examined for validity and applicability for a practical roll out at a Trust, Regional or National level. Results: AI can synthesise a vast amount of information to help it answer specific questions. The context and structure of any question will determine the usefulness of the answer which can then be used to develop practical solutions based on experience and resource limitations. Conclusions: AI has a role in service development and can quickly focus a working group to areas to consider when practically implementing change.

Banana is an edible fruit and is herbaceous flowering plant belonging to the genus Musa and the family *** is also eaten as cooked vegetable(and is then called plantains).All the edible banana fruits are seedless(parthenocarpic)and belong to two main species,Musa acuminata Colla and Musa balbisiana *** hybrid from these two species Musa x paradisiaca *** also available *** banana is native to Indomalaya and Australia,Papua New Guinea was the first to domesticate this *** has now spread to almost 135 countries around the *** per 2016 data,nearly 28 per cent of the total world’s banana production comes from India and *** group banana,being the main export item from the banana-exporting countries,usually refers to soft,sweet,and dessert banana in the Western countries,but the plantain bananas have firm,starchy fruit which is suitable for cooking as a *** is known to be rich not only in carbohydrates,dietary fibres,certain vitamins and minerals,but is also rich in many health-promoting bioactive *** composition including various bioactives and their health contributions has been reviewed in this paper.

Gamma Correction for Brightness Preservation in Natural Images

Due to improper acquisition settings and other noise artifacts,the image degraded to yield poor mean preservation in *** simplest way to improve the preservation is the implementation of histogram *** of over-enhancement,it failed to preserve the mean brightness and produce the poor quality of the *** paper proposes a multi-scale decomposi-tion for brightness preservation using gamma *** transformation to hue,saturation and intensity(HsI)channel,the 2D-discrete wavelet transform decomposed the intensity component into low and high-pass *** the next phase,gamma correction is used by auto-tuning the scale *** scale is the modified constant value used in the logarithmic ***,the scale value is optimized to obtain better visual quality in the *** optimized value is the weighted distribution of standard deviation-mean of low pass ***,the experimental result is estimated in terms of quality assessment measures used as absolute mean brightness error,the measure of information detail,signal to noise ratio and patch-based contrast quality in the *** comparison,the proposed method proved to be suitably remarkable in retaining the mean brightness and better visual quality of the image.

Objective:We investigate(1)the influence of ethnic,gender,and age concordance with inter-viewers and(2)how expression of qualitative data varies between interviews delivered in English and community languages(Punjabi/Urdu)with monolingual and bilingual participants across three generations of the Indian sikh and Pakistani Muslim communities living in the ***:We analyzed and interpreted semi-structured interview transcripts that were designed to collect data about lifestyles,disease management,community practices/beliefs,and social ***,qualitative content analysis was applied to ***,a framework was ap-plied as a guide to identify cross-language illustrations where responses varied in length,expression and ***:Participant responses differed by language and ***-generation migrants when discussing religion,culture,or family practice were far likelier to use group or community narra-tives and give a longer response,indicating familiarity with or importance of such *** and gender concordance generated greater rapport between researchers and participants centered on community values and ***,open-ended questions that were less direct were better suited for first-generation ***:Community-based researchers need more time to complete interviews in second languages,need to acknowledge that narratives can be contextualized in both personal and com-munity views,and reframe questions that may lead to greater ***,we detail a number of recommendations with regard to validating the translation of interviews from commu-nity languages to English as well as measures for testing language proficiency.

This review discusses the history of tracheal reconstruction; from early work to future challenges. The focus is primarily on prosthetic tracheal reconstruction in the form of intraluminal stents, patch repairs, circumferential repairs and replacement of the trachea. A historical perspective of materials used such as foreign materials, autografts, allografts, xenografts and techniques, along with their advantages and disadvantages, is provided.

Variation among poplar clones for growth and crown traits under field conditions at two sites of North-western India

We evaluated the growth and crown traits of 36 poplar clones at two distinct agro-climatic regions of Punjab （Ludhiana and Bathinda） in northwestern India, following randomized block design with three replications and plot size of four trees. significant differences among clones （p〈0.001） were observed for diameter at breast height （DBH）, tree height, volume, crown width and number of branches under both the site conditions. Clones ‘G-3’, ‘25-N’ and ‘41-N’ at Ludhiana and ‘G-3’, ‘RD-01’ and ‘s7C8’ at Bathinda were found to be superior for volume production. All growth and crown traits registered significantly higher values at Ludhiana in comparison to those at Bathinda. Clone site interaction was also significant （p〈0.001）. For volume, clones ‘L-62/84’, ‘113520’, ‘25-N’ and ‘s4C2’ witnessed huge fluctuations in ranking between sites. The correlations between growth traits were positive and highly significant （p〈0.001） at both sites. The clonal mean heritability was moderate for DBH and volume both at Ludhiana （0.61–0.66） and Bathinda （0.61–0.62）. Across sites, the genetic advance was the highest for volume （49.76%） and the lowest （6.50%） in case of height.

Changes in soil biochemical indicators at different wheat growth stages under conservation-based sustainable intensification of rice-wheat system

soil microbes play critical roles in soil biogeochemistry, soil biological health and crop productivity. The current study evaluated the effects of tillage and residue management on changes in soil biochemical indicators at different growth stages of wheat after 5 years of rice-wheat system. Nine treatment combinations of tillage, crop establishment and crop residue management included three main plot treatments applied to rice:(1) conventional till direct dry seeded rice(CTDsR),(2) zero till direct dry seeded rice(ZTDsR), and(3) conventional puddled manual transplanted rice(CTPTR) and three subplot treatments in subsequent wheat:(1) conventional tillage with rice residue removed(CTW-R),(2) zero tillage with rice residue removed(ZTW-R) and(3) zero tillage with rice residue retained as surface mulch(ZTW+R). Irrespective of rice treatments, ZTW+R treatment had higher soil biochemical indicators compared with ZTW-R and CTW-R at all the growth stages of wheat. Generally, all the biochemical indicators were the highest at the flowering stage of wheat. Residual effect of rice treatments was also significant on biochemical quotients in wheat, which were the highest under ZTDsR followed by CTDsR and CTPTR. The present study provided three sensitive and reliable biochemical indicators(microbial biomass, basal soil respiration and microbial quotient) which respond rapidly to change in tillage and residue management practices in RWs of south Asia.

考虑到短期风电功率预测模型建立时,样本的选取对预测模型的精度有较大影响,提出了运用聚类方法对历史风速数据进行处理,实现了历史数据的自动分类。根据预测日的平均风速和最大风速等特征参数,按照相似度最大的原则,选择合适的类别作为预测建模用的训练样本。运用时间序列方法,建立风速预测模型,与不经过预处理的相比,所建立预测精度得到了提高,验证了运用聚类进行数据预处理的正确性。运用风力发电机的出力曲线,得到了未来日的风电功率的预测值,为含风电系统的电力系统运行计划的制定,提供了基础数据支持。

Characterisation and Corrosion-Erosion Behaviour of Carbide based Thermal spray Coatings

Thermal spraying has emerged as a suitable and effective surface engineering technology and is widely used to apply wear, erosion and corrosion protective coatings for various kinds of industrial applications. Cr3C2-based coatings have been applied to a wide range of industrial components. Cr3C2-NiCr coatings offer greater corrosion and oxidation resistance, also having a high melting point and maintaining high hardness, strength and wear resistance up to a maximum operating temperature of 900 °C. The corrosion resistance is provided by NiCr matrix while the wear resistance is mainly due to the carbide ceramic phase. This paper reviews the performance, developments and applications of Cr3C2-NiCr thermal spray coatings for corrosion/erosion-corrosion under different types of environments and outlines the characterization of Cr3C2-NiCr coatings with respect to their microstructure and mechanical properties, together with some brief characterisation work by the author for HVOF sprayed 75Cr3C2-25NiCr coating on T91 boiler steel.
