Zinc-air batteries(ZABs)are gaining attention as an ideal option for various applications requiring high-capacity batteries,such as portable electronics,electric vehicles,and renewable energy *** offer advantages such as low environmental impact,enhanced safety compared to Li-ion batteries,and cost-effectiveness due to the abundance of ***,early research faced challenges due to parasitic reactions at the zinc anode and slow oxygen redox *** advancements in restructuring the anode,utilizing alternative electrolytes,and developing bifunctional oxygen catalysts have significantly improved *** have achieved battery reversibility over thousands of cycles,introduced new electrolytes,and achieved energy efficiency records surpassing 70%.Despite these achievements,there are challenges related to lower power density,shorter lifespan,and air electrode corrosion leading to performance *** review paper discusses different battery configurations,and reaction mechanisms for electrically and mechanically rechargeable ZABs,and proposes remedies to enhance overall battery *** paper also explores recent advancements,applications,and the future prospects of electrically/mechanically rechargeable ZABs.

The paper is devoted to study the non-Newtonian behavior of blood flowing in an artery having a stenosis, in a situation when a catheter has been inserted into it. The blood rheology is described by Herschel-Bulkley fluid model. The flow configuration is con- structed by choosing suitable curvature at the lateral junction, where the flow separation is initiated. The effects of insertion of catheter and that of yield stress of blood on the velocity distribution, rate of flow and flow resistance of blood, distribution of shear stress at the arterial wall and the location of yield plane are investigated. The results provide some useful information for the prediction/treatment of some arterial diseases and circulatory disorders of the cardiovascular system, in a situation, when a stenosis is developed on the endothelium of the daughter artery / bifurcated artery. The study reveals that if the ratio between the radii of the catheter and the artery is increased, the shear stress at the arterial wall diminishes. However, when the bifurcation angle is increased, the wall shear stress is enhanced.

By considering the exceptional properties of supramolecular,noble metals(NM)and magnetic nanoparticles(NPs),we successfully synthesized a novel magnetic,metals and supramolecular ***,the Fe_(3)O_(4)@SiO_(2)core-shell spheres were first modified with gold(Au)and palladium(Pd)NPs and then with mono-6-thio-β-cyclodextrin(SH-β-CD).The synthesized Fe_(3)O_(4)@SiO_(2)-Au-Pd@SH-β-CD nanocomposite shows a good magnetic response(42.3 emu/g).The nanocomposite showed good performance for the reductive degradation of rhodamine B(RhB)and 4-nitrophenol(4-NP).The calculated rate constant(k)values for the reduction of 4-NP and RhB were 0.062±0.02 s^(−1)and 0.027±0.01 s^(−1),*** high catalytical performance was supposed to be due to the host-guest interaction ofβ-CD and also due to the NM synergic *** nanocomposite structural and chemical morphology was investigated by various spectroscopic ***,the catalyst was recycled six times and it maintains morphology,chemical nature,and high magnetic behavior,as demonstrated by FTIR and TEM analysis of the recycled *** results demonstrate a very efficient,cost-effective,and recyclable catalyst in the field of catalysis technology development.

Muricids are commercially important gastropods and are exploited primarily for shell craft industries. They also occupy a niche in ornamental keeping. Studies on the larval development of muricids in Indian waters are few. Hence, an attempt was made to study with a focus on the optimum requirements for captive brood maintenance;regional variation in egg laying, intracapsular development and to estimate production potential of individual brooder (the length/ weight ranged from 80 -?110 mm/49 -?169 g (average 94.875 ± 3.980 mm/111.625 ± 14.870 g) of Chicoreus virgineus var. ponderosa collected off Tuticorin coast, Gulf of Mannar. Experimental airlift water circulation system fitted in 1 t FRP tanks having an overturn of 300% water is found suitable for long term maintenance and maturation of brooders with near cent percent survival over a year. Spontaneous breeding commenced from June ’09. Eggs cases were ‘vase’ shaped and measured 1.2 -?1.5 cm in height. Egg case numbers varied between 110 and 140 and got reduced to 10 -?40 during October and increased in Nov & December. Number of eggs within the egg case was highly variable ranging from 100 -?380. Eggs were spherical, embedded in jelly mass within the egg case and measured 510 -?608 μ (578 μ). Intra capsular development is detailed and compared with the earlier report on this species from other areas of Indian coast. Development took nearly 20 days and only few free living juveniles measuring between 1.7 -?1.9 mm emerged and the rest of the eggs have functioned as “Nurse eggs”. Average net production potential of a single viable egg case was estimated to be 6.7 nos for Chicoreus virgineus var. ponderosa of Tuticorin coast of Gulf of Mannar.
