Interfacial engineering of two-dimensional(2D)monometallic phosphides enables remarkable structural and electrochemical properties in energy storage ***,2D nanosheets(NSs)of FeP_(2)/Co_(2) P were grown on Ni-foam(FCP)using a solution-based and phosphorization approach to be used as freestanding for high-performance energy storage *** effective phosphorization strategy is successfully de-veloped to improve the overall crystalline phase,tailor the morphology,and boost the electrochemical performances of *** FCP NSs electrode exhibits a battery-type redox behavior with a maxi-mum high areal capacity of 1.96 C cm^(-2) at 4 mA cm^(-2) in 6 M Koh aqueous electrolyte compared to the other *** superior electrochemical performance was achieved by increasing the electroac-tive sites and high conductivity via surface tailoring and fast redox ***,a supercapattery was assembled utilizing FCP and activated carbon(AC)electrodes and it revealed maximum specific en-ergy(E_(s))and specific power(P_(s))of 41.2 Wh kg^(-1) and 7578 W kg^(-1) with good cycling stability of 91%after 10,000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1).Eventually,the supercapattery has been explored in practical applications by lighting up light-emitting diodes(LEDs),representing the real-time performance of superior energy storage devices.

The temporal and spatial variability of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass in the southeastern Yellow Sea, 2009–2011

The Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass （YSCWM） is one of the important water mass in the Yellow Sea （YS）. It is distributed in the lower layer in the Yellow Sea central trough with the temperature less than 10℃ and the salinity lower than 33.0. To understand the variability of the YSCWM, the hydrographic data obtained in April and August during 2009-2011 are analyzed in the southeastern Yellow Sea. In August 2011, relatively warm and saline water compared with that in 2009 and 2010 was detected in the lower layer in the Yellow Sea central area. Although the typhoon passed before the cruise, the salinity in the Yellow Sea central trough is much higher than the previous season. It means that the saline event cannot be explained by the typhoon but only by the intrusion of saline water during the previous winter. In April 2011, actually, warm and saline water （T 〉 10~C, S 〉34） was observed in the deepest water depth of the southeastern area of the Yellow Sea. The wind data show that the northerly wind in 2011 winter is stronger than in 2009 and 2010 winter season. The strong northerly wind can trigger the intrusion of warm and saline Yellow Sea Warm Current. Therefore, it is proposed that the strong northerly wind in winter season leads to the intrusion of the Yellow Sea Warm Current into the Yellow Sea central trough and influenced a variability of the YSCWM in summer.

Background:The Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(K-NAFLD)score was recently developed with the intent to operationally define nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).However,there remained an external validation that confirmed its diagnostic performance,especially in patients with alcohol consumption or hepatitis virus ***:Diagnostic accuracy of the K-NAFLD score was evaluated in a hospital-based cohort consisting of 1388 participants who received Fibroscan®.Multivariate-adjusted logistic regression models and the contrast estimation of receiver operating characteristic curves were used for validation of the K-NAFLD score,fatty liver index(FLI),and hepatic steatosis index(HSI).Results:K-NAFLD-moderate[adjusted odds ratio(aOR)=2.53,95%confidence interval(CI):1.13-5.65]and K-NAFLD-high(aOR=4.14,95%CI:1.69-10.13)groups showed higher risks of fatty liver compared to the K-NAFLD-low group after adjustments for demographic and clinical characteristics,and FLI-moderate and FLI-high groups revealed aORs of 2.05(95%CI:1.22-3.43)and 1.51(95%CI:0.78-2.90),*** addition,the HSI was less predictive for Fibroscan®-defined fatty *** K-NAFLD and FLI also demonstrated high accuracy in the prediction of fatty liver in patients with alcohol consumption and chronic hepatitis virus infection,and the adjusted area under curve values were comparable between K-NAFLD and ***:Externally validation of the K-NAFLD and FLI showed that these scores may be a useful,noninvasive,and non-imaging modality for the identification of fatty *** addition,these scores also predicted fatty liver in patients with alcohol consumption and chronic hepatitis virus infection.

Using scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy(STM/STS),we examine quasiparticle scattering and interference properties at the surface of ***2,layered transition metal dichalcogenide,is predicted to be a type-ll Weyl *** Weyl fermion states in WTe2 emerge as topologically protected touching points of electron and hole pockets,and Fermi arcs connecting them can be visible in the spectral function on the *** probe the properties of surface states,we have conducted low-temperature STM/STS(at 2.7 K)on the surfaces of WTe2 single *** visualize the surface states of WTe2 with atomic scale *** surface states emerging from the bulk electron pocket have been identified and their connection with the bulk electronic states shows good agreement with *** show the interesting double resonance peaks in the local density of states appearing at localized *** low-energy resonant peak occurs near the Weyl point above the Fermi energy and it may be mixed with the surface state of Weyl points,which makes it difficult to observe the topological nature of the Weyl semimetal WTe2.

Colloidal quantum dots(CQDs)are promising semiconducting materials,which can be used as a photoactive layer in various optoelectronic applications,because of their size-tunable bandgap energy,solution processability,and excellent optical and optoelectronic *** particular,these features have generated great interest in the development of CQD solar cells and led to a rapid increase in their power conversion *** improvements were enabled by many innovative approaches in terms of CQD’s surface chemistry and device architecture *** this review,a critical overview of the research progress in CQD solar cells is presented with a focus on the strategies adopted for achieving record efficiency in CQD solar *** strategies include the use of organic/inorganic surface ligands,pre-and post-treatment of CQDs,and solid-state/solution-phase ligand ***,we provide an understanding of the research history to inspire the rational design of next-generation CQD optoelectronic devices,such as solar cells,light-emitting diodes,and *** research on the development of infrared CQD solar cells as complementary platforms to other solar cell technologies is also critically discussed to provide another perspective on CQD technologies.

Development of a simple model for batch and boundary information updation for a similar ship's block model

In early 2000,large domestic shipyards introduced shipbuilding 3D computer-aided design (CAD) to the hull production design process to define manufacturing and assembly *** production design process accounts for most of the man-hours (M/H) of the entire design process and is closely connected to yard production because designs must take into account the production schedule of the shipyard,the current state of the dock needed to mount the ship’s block,and supply ***,many shipyards are investigating the complete automation of the production design process to reduce the M/H for ***,these problems are still currently unresolved,and a clear direction is needed for research on the automatic design base of manufacturing rules,batches reflecting changed building specifications,batch updates of boundary information for hull members,and management of the hull model change history to automate the production design *** this study,a process was developed to aid production design engineers in designing a new ship’s hull block model from that of a similar ship previously built,based on AVEVA *** automation system that uses the similar ship’s hull block model is proposed to reduce M/H and human errors by the production design ***,scheme files holding important information were constructed in a database to automatically update hull block model ***,for batch updates,the database’s table,including building specifications and the referential integrity of a relational database were *** particular,this study focused on reflecting the frequent modification of building specifications and regeneration of boundary information of the adjacent panel due to changes in a specific ***,the rollback function is proposed in which the database (DB) is used to return to the previously designed panels.

Genomic organization and transcriptional modulation in response to endocrine disrupting chemicals of three vitellogenin genes in the self-fertilizing fish Kryptolebias marmoratus

Vitellogenin（Vtg）is the precursor of egg yolk proteins,and its expression has been used as a reliable biomarker for estrogenic contamination in the aquatic *** examine the biomarker potential of the self-fertilizing killifish Kryptolebias marmoratus Vtgs（Km-Vtgs）,full genomic DNAs of Km-Vtgs-Aa,Km-Vtgs-Ab,and Km-Vtgs-C were cloned,sequenced,and *** Vtg genes in *** are tandemly placed in a550 kb section of the same *** silico analysis of promoter regions revealed that both the Km-Vtgs-Aa and Km-Vtgs-Ab genes had an estrogen response element（ERE）,but the Km-Vtgs-C gene did ***,all three Km-Vtgs genes had several ERE-half sites in their promoter *** analysis demonstrated that the three deduced amino acid residues were highly conserved with conventional Vtgs protein,forming distinctive clades within teleost *** tissue showed the highest expression of Km-Vtg transcripts in all tested tissues（brain/pituitary,eye,gonad,intestine,skin,and muscle）in response to endocrine disrupting chemical（EDC）-exposed ***-Vtg transcripts were significantly increased in response to 17β-estradiol（E2）,tamoxifen（TMX）,4-n-nonylphenol（NP）,bisphenol A（BPA）,and octylphenol（OP）over 24 hr *** Km-Vtg-A gene was highly expressed compared to the control in response to NP and ***-induced modulatory patterns of Km-Vtg gene expression were different depending on tissue,gender,and isoforms.

Herein,we examine the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells containing five D-π-A organic dyes designed by systematic modification of π-bridge size and geometric *** dye has a simple push-pull structure with a triarylamino group as an electron donor,bithiophene-4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta 1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M11),4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophenethiophene(M12),thiophene-4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M13),4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene-benzene(M14),and 4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M15)units asπ-bridges,and cyanoacrylic acid as an electron acceptor/*** extension of theπ-bridge linkage favors wide-range absorption but,because of the concomitant molecular volume increase,hinders the efficient adsorption of dyes on the TiO_(2) film ***,higher loadings are achieved for smaller dye molecules,resulting in(i)a shift of the TiO_(2) conduction band edge to more negative values,(ii)a greater photocurrent,and(iii)suppressed charge recombination between the photoanode and the redox couple in the ***,under one-sun equivalent illumination(AM 1.5 G,100 mW/cm^(2)),the highest photovoltage,photocurrent,and conversion efficiency(η=7.19%)are observed for M15,which has the smallest molecular volume among M series dyes.

The effects of single versus combined therapy using LIM-kinase 2 inhibitor and type 5 phosphodiesterase inhibitor on erectile function in a rat model of cavernous nerve injury-induced erectile dysfunction

We aimed to determine whether combination of LIM-kinase 2 inhibitor(LIMK2i)and phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitor(PDE5i)could restore erectile function through suppressing cavernous fibrosis and improving caver nous apoptosis in a rat model of cavernous nerve crush injury(CNCI).Seventy 12-week-old Sprague-Dawley rats were equally distributed into five groups as follows:(1)sham surgery(Group S),(2)CNCI(Group I),(3)CNCI treated with daily intraperitoneal administration of 10.0 mg kg^-1 LIMK2i(Group I+L),(4)daily oral administration of 20.0 mg kg-1 udenafil,PDE5i(Group I+U),and(5)combined administration of 10.0 mg kg^-1 LIMK2i and 20.0 mg kg^-1 udenafil(Group I+L+U).Rats in Groups I+L,I+U,and I+L+U were treated with respective regimens for 2 weeks after *** 2 weeks after surgery,erectile response was assessed using *** tissues were processed for histological studies and western *** I showed lower intracavernous pressure(ICP)/mean arterial pressure(MAP),lower area under the curve(AUC)/MAP,decreased immunohistochemical staining for alpha-smooth muscle(SM)actin,higher apoptotic index,lower SM/collagen ratio,increased phospho-LIMK2-positive fibroblasts,decreased protein kinase B/endothelial nitric oxide synthase(Akt/eNOS)phosphorylation,increased LIMK2/cofilin phosphorylation,and increased protein expression of fibronectin,compared to Group *** all three treatment groups,erectile responses,protein expression of fibronectin,and SM/collagen ratio were *** I+L+U showed greater improvement in erectile response than Group I+*** content and apoptotic index in Groups I+U and I+L+U were improved compared to those in Group ***,Group I+L did not show a significant improvement in SM content or apoptotic *** number of phospho-LIMK2-positive fibroblasts was normalized in Groups I+L and I+L+U,but not in Group I+***/eNOS phosphorylation was improved in Groups I+U and I+L+U,but not in Group I+***2/cofilin phosphorylation was i

Improvement of uniformity in cultivation environment and crop growth rate by hybrid control of air flow devices

A complete control type plant factory has high efficiency in terms of cultivation area by constructing vertical multiple layered cultivation ***,it has a problem of irregular crop growth due to temperature deviation at upper and lower beds and increases in energy consumption by a prolonged cultivation *** this work,air flow rate inside a facility was improved by a hybrid control of air flow devices like air conditioning and air circulation fan with an established wireless sensor network to minimize temperature deviations between upper and lower beds and to promote crop *** performance of proposed system was verified with an experimental environment or Case A wherein air conditioning device was operated without a control algorithm and Case B wherein air conditioning and circulation fans were alternatively operated based on the hybrid control *** planting leafy vegetables under each experimental condition,crops were cultivated for 21 *** a result,Case B wherein AC(air conditioning) and ACF(air-circulation fan) were alternatively operated based on the hybrid control algorithm showed that fresh mass,number of leaves,and leaf length for the crops grown were increased by 40.6%,41.1%,and 11.1%,respectively,compared to Case A.
