Introducing Ni in Ru oxide is a promising approach to enhance the catalytic activity for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER).However,the role of Ni(which has a poor intrinsic activity)is not fully ***,a Ru NiO_(x)electrode fabricated via a modified dip coating method exhibited excellent OER performance in acidic media,and neutral media for CO_(2)reduction *** combined in-situ/operando X-ray absorption near-edge structure and on-line inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry studies to unveil the role of the Ni introduced in the Ru *** propose that the Ni not only transforms the electronic structure of the Ru oxide,but also produces a large number of oxygen vacancies by distorting the oxygen lattice structure at low overpotentials,increasing the participation of lattice oxygen for *** work demonstrates the real behavior of bimetallic oxide materials under applied potentials and provides new insights into the development of efficient electrocatalysts.

Biodegradable hydrogels are promising biomaterials for use in controlled-release systems for skin tissue regeneration. Controlled delivery systems constitute an important aspect of tissue engineering because they can modulate various physiological responses, including early immune response, tissue remodeling, and cell proliferation and maturation in the wound-healing process. Hydrogels composed of various biomaterials have been developed to overcome the limitations of conventional drug- or protein-delivery systems, such as limited targeting ability, low stability, and the induction of drug resistance. Hydrogels based on keratin, a natural polymer extracted from human hair, can provide adequate cell support and control homeostasis. Consequently, they can be applied for skin tissue engineering. In this study, we prepared degradable, tunable, and biocompatible hydrogels for controllable protein delivery. We synthesized keratin-fibrinogen (KER-FBG) by the chemical coupling reaction and prepared hydrogels through polymerization with thrombin. The structures and morphologies of the KER-FBG hydrogels were confirmed. Furthermore, the mechanical properties, swelling ratio, degradation, release behavior, and biocompatibility were investigated. The KER-FBG hydrogels presented promising biological performance, indicating that the material is suitable as a controlled protein delivery carrier.

Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) is the most important cereal crop in the *** Korea,breeding programs of wheat are focused on traits such as early maturing and high ***,the development of an early-maturing wheat is important to increase wheat production and food sufficiency in *** this study,six agricultural traits of 1,812 wheat accessions collected from around the world were evaluated to determine the best accessions to be used in wheat breeding *** the six agricultural traits,plant height and panicle length showed wide variation compared to other *** height and panicle length of 1,812 accessions ranged from 55.7 to 183.0 cm and 3.5 to 17.3 cm,*** date and maturity date showed the range of April 24 to May 24 and May 28 to June 27,*** shortest plant height and panicle length of wheat accessions were collected from Central America and West Africa,*** the 1,812 wheat accessions,those collected from West Africa showed the shortest heading date(April 24 ～ May5,average of April 29) and maturity(May 28 ～ June 8,average of May 30).On the other hand wheat accessions collected from Southern Europe and North America showed the longest heading date while those from East Asia and Eastern Europe exhibited the longest maturity *** results gathered in this study is envisioned to provide useful information in the development of new wheat varieties with desired traits.

Coordination polymers： Challenges and future scenarios for capture and degradation of volatile organic compounds

Over the past few decades, coordination polymers/metal organic frameworks （CPs/MOFs） have drawn a great deal of attention for diverse applications due to their advantages of intrinsically ttLnable chemical structure, flexible architecture, high pore volume, high surface area, multifunctional properties, etc. To date, numerous CPs/MOFs have been developed and employed for the treatment and control of gaseous pollutants, such as volatile organic compounds （VOCs）, through capture, sorptive removal, and catalytic degradation. Nevertheless, there are also some key drawbacks and challenges for the practical application of these systems （e.g., poor selectivity, high energy （and fiscal） cost, high synthesis cost, low capacity, and difficulties in regeneration and recycling）. In this review, recent developments in CPs/MOFs research are described with their associated mechanisms for capture, sorptive removal, and catalytic degradation of VOCs. To this end, we discuss the key variables and challenges for afforded abatement of VOCs through CPs/MOFs technologies. Hopefully, this review will help the scientific community set future directions for the advancement of CPs/MOFs techniques for the effective management of diverse environmental issues.

Dear Editor,We are writing to present two case reports of persistent epithelial defect after infectious keratitis successfully treated with sutureless contact lens-type amniotic membrane(AM)*** keratitis is one of the leading causes of corneal *** disrupts the normal corneal healing process and induces inflammation,limbal cell dysfunction,and corneal surface irregularity,which can lead to corneal opacities or persistent epithelial defects(PEDs)[1].Untreated PED can cause corneal thinning,resulting in corneal perforation.

Type 1 diabetes is caused by insulin deficiency due to the loss of beta cells in the islets of *** severe cases,islet transplantation into the portal vein is ***,due to the loss of transplanted islets and the failure of islet function,the 5-year insulin independence rate of these patients isrolactone)biodegradable polymer.A glucose response assay revealed that the bioprinted constructs proliferated and released insulin normally during the 4-week in vitro *** MIN-6 generated clusters with a diameter of 100-200μm,similar to the original pancreatic islets in the *** an in vivo study using type 1 diabetes mice,animals implanted with bioprinted constructs showed three times higher insulin secretion and controlled glucose levels at 8 weeks after *** the implanted,bioprinted constructs had a positive effect on insulin secretion in the experimental animals,the survival rate of the implanted group(75%)was three times higher than that of the non-implanted group(25%).The results suggest that the proposed,3 D-bioprinted,subcutaneous construct can be a better alternative to portal vein islet transplantation.

目的揭示四川省中医医院医务人员的薪酬满意度现状和影响因素,为深化中医药行业薪酬改革提供依据。方法对21个地市(州)中实施薪酬改革的全部22家中医医院1047名医务人员薪酬满意度情况进行问卷调查,开展t检验、方差分析和多重线性回归分析。结果四川省中医医院人员薪酬满意度总体较低,不同文化程度、岗位类别、用工性质、平均月收入、薪酬制度及绩效考核认同程度、支持薪酬改革态度对医务人员薪酬满意度的影响有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论中医医务人员的薪酬满意度有待提高,应以中医特色为导向,提高医务人员参与度,针对各类型人员需求建立有激励性和吸引性的薪酬制度。

Nanomaterials integrated surface acoustic wave(SAW)gas sensing technology has emerged as a promising candidate for realtime toxic gas sensing applications for environmental and human health ***,the development of novel chemical interface based on two-dimensional(2D)sensing materials for SAW sensors for the rapid and sensitive detection of NH_(3)gas at room temperature(RT)still remains ***,we report a highly selective RT NH_(3)gas sensor based on sulfur-doped graphitic carbon nitride quantum dots(S@g-C_(3)N_(4)QD)coated langasite(LGS)SAW sensor with enhanced sensitivity and recovery rate under ultraviolet(UV)***,the sensitivity of the S@g-C_(3)N_(4)QD/LGS SAW sensor to NH_(3)(500 ppb)at RT is dramatically enhanced by~4.5-fold with a low detection limit(~85 ppb),high selectivity,excellent reproducibility,fast response/recovery time(70 s/79 s)under UV activation(365 nm)as compared to dark ***,the proposed sensor exhibited augmented NH_(3)detection capability across the broad range of relative humidity(20%–80%).Such remarkable gas sensing performances of the as-prepared sensor to NH_(3)are attributed to the high surface area,enhanced functional groups,sulfur defects,UV photogenerated charge carriers,facile charge transfer in the S@g-C_(3)N_(4)QD sensing layer,which further helps to improve the gas molecules adsorption that causes the increase in conductivity,resulting in larger frequency *** gas sensing mechanism of S@g-C_(3)N_(4)QD/LGS SAW sensor is ascribed to the enhanced electroacoustic effect,which is supported by the correlation of resistive type and COMSOL Multiphysics simulation *** envisage that the present work paves a promising strategy to develop the next generation 2D g-C_(3)N_(4)based high responsive RT SAW gas sensors.

Serial evaluation of myocardial function using the myocardial performance index in Kawasaki disease

Background Kawasaki disease (KD) is known as systemic vasculitis, and more than half of the patients with KD have myo-carditis, which can induce ventricular dysfunction. In this study, we evaluate left ventricular (LV) dysfunction in patients with KD based on the myocardial performance index (MPI) using pulse Doppler (PD) and tissue Doppler imaging (TDI), from the acute to convalescent phases. Methods We retrospectively studied 89 children diagnosed with KD from January 2010 to August 2012. We assessed the presence of coronary artery lesions (CALs) and the LV ejection fraction, PD-MPI, and TDI-MPI at diagnosis, and 2, 14, and 56 days after intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatment. We enrolled 70 healthy children as a control group. Results The ejection fraction in patients with KD at diagnosis (67.3 ± 0.9%) was lower than that in the control group (69.8 ± 0.8%,P = 0.035), and the LV TDI-MPIs for patients with KD at diagnosis (0.49 ± 0.01) and 2 days after IVIG treatment (0.48 ± 0.01) were higher than those in the control group (0.45 ± 0.01,P = 0.002,P = 0.033, respectively). No signifi cant diff erences were found in the LV dysfunction between the patients with complete and incomplete KD. Septal TDI-MPIs in patients with KD with CAL at diagnosis (0.52 ± 0.02) were higher than those in patients with KD without CAL (0.47 ± 0.01,P = 0.019). Conclusions Transient LV dysfunction occurred in patients with complete and incomplete KD in the acute stage. In patients with KD with CAL at diagnosis, the LV dysfunction was more prominent. The PD-MPI and TDI-MPI are useful parameters for assessing LV function in patients with KD.

Effect of the protection layer formed by cross-linked gelatin on the stability and performance of glucose and oxygen fuel cells

A glucose oxidation catalyst comprising carbon nanotube,tetrathiafulvalene(TTF),gelatin,glutaraldehyde(GA)and glucose oxidase(GOx)(CNT/[TTF-GOx]/Gelatin+GA)is suggested to enhance the reactivity of glucose oxidation reaction(GOR),and the performance and stability of enzymatic biofuel cells(EBCs)using this *** this catalyst,TTF is used as mediator to transfer electron effectively,while GA is crosslinked to gelatin to form non-soluble *** structure prevents the dissolution of gelatin from aqueous electrolyte and reduces the leaching-out of GOx and TTF *** confirm the crosslinking effect of GA and gelatin,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and electrochemical evaluations are *** to FT-IR analysis,it was observed that the amide I peak shifted after *** is evidence showing the appropriate network formation and the reactivity of CNT/[TTFGOx]/Gelatin+GA is well preserved even after multiple potential *** addition,its GOx activity is regularly monitored for one month and the measurements prove that the structure prevents the leaching out of GOx *** on that,EBC using the anodic catalyst shows excellent performances,such as open circuit voltage of 0.75 V and maximum power density of 184μW/cm^(2).
