Combination therapy with checkpoint inhibitors blocks inhibitory immune cell signaling and improves clinical responses to anticancer ***,continued development of innovative and controllable delivery systems for immune-stimulating agents is necessary to optimize clinical ***,we engineered Salmonella to deliver recombinant granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor(GM-CSF)in a controllable manner for combination treatment with a programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)*** engineered Salmonella enabled delivery of recombinant GM-CSF into mouse tumors,activating recruitment of immune cells,such as M1-polarized macrophages,dendritic cells,and CD8^(+)T *** treatment with the PD-L1 inhibitor and engineered Salmonella increased the survival rate of tumor-bearing mice by 25%.New tumor growth was strongly suppressed,and visible tumors disappeared at 120 days post-infection(dpi)in mice rechallenged with additional tumor implantation at 100 *** number of memory T cells increased>2-fold in tumor-rechallenged *** findings demonstrate superiority of the engineered Salmonella as a cancer therapeutic agent with pre-cise targeting ability,immune-boosting activity,and ease of combination with other therapeutics.

This paper proposes an innovative procedure for designing efficient biomass-biofuel logistics networks(BBLNs).This procedure is based on the two-stage network data envelopment analysis(TSN-DEA)models that have been developed to provide specific process guidance for the managers to improve the efficiency of the decision-making unit(DMU)with the TSN *** crucial issue of the TSN-DEA is that the overall efficiency score depends on the DMUs under ***,the rankings for the DMUs generated by the TSN-DEA model are *** a result,the TSN-DEA-based ranking methods are *** TSN-DEA’s inconsistency frequently makes it difficult for decision-makers to select the top-rated *** develop the transformed TSN(T-TSN)DEA method by applying the multi-criteria DEA model to overcome this *** proposed method transforms the DMUs with any number of inputs,intermediate measures,and outputs in the TSN process,through the multi-objective programming model with a minimax objective approach,into the DMUs with two inputs and one output in the single-stage network(SSN)***,the well-known DEA methods for the SSN,such as the cross-efficiency and super-efficiency DEA methods,can be applied to evaluate and rank the transformed DMUs more *** exhibit the applicability of the proposed approach for the BBLN design problem.A case study of South Carolina in the USA demonstrates that the proposed method performs well in identifying efficient BBLN schemes more consistently than the traditional TSN-DEA.

Following the Pohang and Gyeongju earthquakes and their aftershocks,there is no longer any zone that is safe from earthquake-related disasters in the Korean *** order to monitor and predict earthquakes,correlation analysis of earthquakes and hydro-environmental factors are insufficient,and the development and application of hydro-environmental factor measurement equipment is still in the early *** study developes and verifies a more precise radon measurement *** specific earthquake cases(2019–2020)were selected,and the correlation of the analyses of the earthquakes and hydro-environmental factors(radon,electric conductivity(EC),water-level(WL),and water-temperature(WT))was conducted at the three specific groundwater ***,was confirmed that four factors are affected by earthquakes or seismic ***,the variability of the EC showed an identical tendency for a certain period before an earthquake occurred,and,in particular,the variability trends for radon,WL,and EC coincided at the time of the earthquake′s occurrence.

AIM： To observe the effects of traditional antiinflammatory medicine Lonicerae FIos （LF） on rat reflux esophagitis （RE） induced by pylorus and forestomach ligation compared with the well-known proton antioxidant, α-tocopherol. METHODS： Rats were pretreated with three different dosages of LF （500, 250 and 125 mg/kg） orally, once a day for 14 d before pylorus and forestomach ligation. Nine hours after pylorus and forestomach ligation, changes to the stomach and esophagus lesion areas, gastric volumes, acid and pepsin outputs, antioxidant effects, esophageal lipid peroxidation, superoxide dismutase （SOD）, catalase （CAT）, malondialdehyde （MDA）, myeloperoxidase and glutathione （GSH） levels, and collagen contents （marker of flexibility） were observed on the esophageal and fundic histopathology. The results were compared with an α-tocopherol （once orally, 1 h before operation, 30 mg/kg） treated group in which the effects on RE were already ***： Pylorus and forestomach ligations caused marked increases of gross esophageal and gastric mucosa lesion areas, which corresponded with histopathological changes. In addition, increases of esophageal lipid peroxidation, decreases of SOD, CAT, and GSH-free radical scavengers, increases of collagen were observed. However, these pylorus and forestomach ligation induced RE were dose-dependently inhibited by treatment of 500, 250 and 125 mg/kg of LF extract, mediated by antioxidant effects. RE at 250 mg/kg showed similar effects α-tocopherol. CONCLUSION： The results suggest that antioxidant effects of LF could attenuate the severity of RE and prevent the esophageal mucosal damage, and validate its therapeutic use in esophageal reflux disease.

Let D be a finite-dimensional integral domain, Spec（D） be the set of prime ideals of D, and SpSS（D） be the set of spectral semistar operations on D. Mimouni gave a complete description for the prime ideal structure of D with ｜SpSS（D）｜ = n ＋ dim（D） for 1 ≤ n ≤5 except for the quasi-local cases of n = 4, 5. In this paper, we show that there is an integral domain D such that ｜SpSS（D）｜ = n＋dim（D） for all positive integers n with n ≠ 2. As corollaries, we completely characterize the quasi-local domains D with ｜SpSS（D）｜= n＋dim（D） for n = 4, 5. Furthermore, we also present the lower and upper bounds of ISpSS（D）I when Spee（D） is a finite tree.
