Here we introduce bismuth-based catalysts for the efficient electrochemical reduction of CO_(2)to formic acid(HCOOH),which are composed of petal-shaped Bi_(2)O_(2)CO_(3)(BOC)that spontaneously formed from Bi thin film in aqueous carbonate solution at room *** the electrochemical reduction process,the BOC petals transform to reduced BOC(R-BOC)consisting of individual BOC and Bi *** mismatch between both domains induces biaxial strain at the *** functional theory calculations suggest that the tensile strain on the Bi domain stabilizes the*OCHO intermediate,reducing the thermodynamic barrier toward CO_(2)conversion to *** with the thermodynamic benefit and the unique nanoporous petal-shaped morphology,R-BOC petals have a superior Faradaic efficiency of 95.9%at-0.8 V_(RHE)for the electrochemical conversion of CO_(2)to *** work demonstrates that the spontaneously formed binary phases with desirable lattice strain can increase the activity of bismuth catalysts to the CO_(2)reduction reaction;such a strategy can be applicable in design of various electrocatalysts.

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)with portal vein invasion(PVI)is considered an advanced stage with a poor *** current guidelines recommend systemic treatment for HCC with PVI,surgical resection could produce acceptable outcomes in selected *** study aimed to identify the clinical significance of surgical resection for HCC with PVI patients using a large-scale nationwide ***:This retrospective,multicenter,observational cohort analyzed data from the Korean Primary Liver Cancer Registry.A total of 16,781 patients who were newly diagnosed with HCC between 2008 and 2018 were enrolled in this *** with worse Child-Turcotte-Pugh scores(≥7)or performance status(≥2)were *** them,998 patients who received treatment for HCC with PVI were included in the analysis and were divided into two groups:resection group of 151(15.1%)and palliative group of 847(84.9%)who received transarterial and systemic therapy according to the treatment *** matching the number and size of the tumors and model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score between the groups,the final study cohort for analysis comprised 151(26.6%)patients in the resection group and 417(73.4%)in the palliative *** primary endpoints were overall survival(OS)and cancer-specific survival(CSS).Results:The number and maximum size of HCC did not differ between the resection and palliative groups after matching[1(range,1-5)vs.1(range,1-6),P=0.11 and 5.5(range,1.2-20.6)vs.6.0(range,1.0-20.5)cm,P=0.24,respectively].Tumor markers,including alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)and protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II(PIVKA-II),also did not differ between the groups(P=0.29 and P=0.36,respectively).The 5-year OS and CSS rates of the resection and palliative groups were 44.8%and 17.4%(P<0.001)and 47.7%and 18.6%(P<0.001),*** analysis showed that palliative treatment intent was the most significant risk factor for OS and CSS[odds ratio(OR

黄海大海洋生态系(YSLME)滨海湿地是东亚—澳大利西亚候鸟的中转站和越冬栖息地,对东亚-澳大利西亚迁徙路线的候鸟至关重要。由于过去几十年的经济发展,中国和韩国都开垦了大量的滨海湿地,因此生境丧失被确定为是对YSLME的一个重大跨界威胁。为缓解这一跨界威胁,YSLME二期项目在其战略行动计划中提出数项管理行动计划,同时,旨在2030年前保护30%海洋的全球生物多样性保护目标(3030目标)也得到了通过。因此,重点介绍了中国和韩国在湿地保护法律法规、滨海湿地保护地建设、公众意识以及国际合作等方面的进展,并简要介绍了朝鲜的滨海湿地保护情况,为更好地解决滨海湿地丧失这一跨界威胁和实现3030目标提供了建议。YSLME滨海湿地保护主要进展为:中韩两国逐渐完善其湿地保护法律法规体系、早期滨海湿地面积急剧丧失的趋势在近年来得到缓解、两国都建立了越来越多的滨海湿地保护地、提升公众意识已经体现在各级法律法规中、中韩之间有持续的滨海湿地国际合作交流活动。对于未来的保护工作,提出了四点建议:扩大滨海湿地保护地面积、保护迁徙动物的生态廊道、加强YSLME滨海湿地保护地网络建设以及增强保护地信息的可获得性。

Spinel zinc ferrite(ZnFe_(2)O_(4),ZFO)is a potential photoanode material for photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting because of its ideal bandgap(1.9–2.1 eV)and superior chemical stability in aqueous ***,the low charge collection efficiency significantly hinders the improvement in PEC ***,we report an ultrafast and effective flame activation route to enhance the charge collection properties of ***,high-temperature flame(>1300℃)facilitated surface and grain boundary diffusions,increasing the grain size and connectivity of the ZFO ***,the reducing atmosphere of the flame enabled the formation of surface defects(oxygen vacancy and Fe^(2+)),thereby increasing the charge carrier density and surface adsorption ***,these two factors promoted charge transport and transfer kinetics,resulting in a 10-fold increase in the photocurrent density over the unactivated ***,we deposited a thin Al_(2)O_(3)overlayer to passivate the ZFO surface and then the NiFeOx oxygen evolution catalyst(OEC)to expedite hole injection into the *** surface passivation and OEC deposition led to a remarkable photocurrent density of~1 mA/cm^(2)at 1.23 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode,which is the highest value among all reported ZFO ***,the NiFeOx/Al_(2)O_(3)/F-ZFO photoanode achieved excellent photocurrent stability over 55 h(96%retention)and superior faradaic efficiency(FE>94%).Our flame activation method is also effective in improving the photocurrent densities of other spinel ferrites:CuFe_(2)O_(4)(93 times),MgFe_(2)O_(4)(16 times),and NiFe_(2)O_(4)(12 times).

BACKGROUND:Patients with suspected acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in whom myocardial infarction has been ruled out are still at risk of having obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD).This rate is higher among patients with intermediate high-sensitivity troponin I (hsTnI) concentrations (5 ng/L to 99th percentile) than low concentrations (<5 ng/L).Therefore,an intermediate concentration has been suggested as a candidate for downstream investigation with computed tomography coronary angiography(CTCA).We tried to compare the HEART score-guided ***-guided approach for identifying obstructive ***:From a prospective cohort study of patients presenting to the emergency department with suspected ACS,433 patients without elevated hsTnI who also underwent CTCA were selected and *** performances of hsTnI concentration and HEART score were compared using sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value (PPV),and negative predictive value (NPV).RESULTS:Overall,120 (27.7%) patients had obstructive *** with intermediate hsTnI concentrations were more likely to have obstructive CAD than those with low hsTnI concentrations(40.0%vs.18.1%);patients with non-low-risk HEART scores (≥4 points) were also more likely to have obstructive CAD than those with low-risk scores (0 to 3 points)(41.0%vs.7.6%).The HEART score had higher sensitivity and NPV for detecting obstructive CAD in each classification than hsTnI concentration (sensitivity:89.2%vs.63.3%;NPV:92.4%vs.81.9%,respectively).CONCLUSION:After excluding myocardial infarction in patients with suspected ACS,adding the HEART score for selecting candidates for CTCA could improve patient risk stratification more accurately than relying on hsTnI concentration.

Endoscopic papillary large balloon dilation(EPLBD)with endoscopic sphincterotomy(EST)has been widely used as the alternative to EST along with endoscopic mechanical lithotripsy(EML)for the removal of large or difficult bile duct ***,EPLBD without EST was recently introduced as its simplified alternative ***,we systematically searched PubMed,Medline,the Cochrane Library and EMBASE,and analyzed all gathered data of EPLBD with and without EST,respectively,by using a single standardized definition,reviewing relevant literatures,published between 2003and June 2013,where it was performed with largediameter balloons(12-20 mm).The outcomes,including the initial success rate,the rate of needs for EML,and the overall success rate,and adverse events were assessed in each and compared between both of two procedures:"EPLBD with EST"and"EPLBD without EST".A total of 2511 procedures from 30 published articles were included in EPLBD with EST,while a total of413 procedures from 3 published articles were included in EPLBD without *** the results of outcomes,the overall success rate was 96.5%in EPLBD with EST and97.2%in EPLBD without EST,showing no significant difference between both of *** initial success rate(84.0%vs 76.2%,P<0.001)and the success rate of EPLBD without EML(83.2%vs 76.7%,P=0.001)was significantly higher,while the rate of use of EML was significantly lower(14.1%vs 21.6%,P<0.001),in EPLBD with *** rate of overall adverse events,pancreatitis,bleeding,perforation,other adverse events,surgery for adverse events,and fatal adverse events were 8.3%,2.4%,3.6%,0.6%,1.7%,0.2%and 0.2%in EPLBD with EST and 7.0%,3.9%,1.9%,0.5%,0.7%,0%and 0%in EPLBD without EST,respectively,showing no significant difference between both of *** conclusion,recent accumulated results of EPLBD with or even without EST suggest that it is a safe and effective procedure for the removal of large or difficult bile duct stones without any additional risk of severe adv

A novel lightweight three-dimensional （3D） composite anode for a fast-charging] discharging Li-ion battery （LIB） was fabricated entirely using one-dimensional （1D） nanomaterials, i.e., Cu nanowires （CuNWs） and multi-walled C nanotubes （MWCNTs）. Because of the excellent electrical conductivity, high-aspect ratio structures, and large surface areas of these nanomaterials, the CuNW-MWCNT composite （CNMC） with 3D structure provides significant advantages regarding the transport pathways for both electrons and ions. As an advanced binder-free anode, a CuNW-MWCNT composite film with a controllable thickness （~ 600 prn） exhibited a considerably low sheet resistance, and internal cell resistance. Furthermore, the random CuNW network with 3D structure acting as a rigid framework not only prevented MWCNT shrinkage and expansion due to aggregation and swelling but also minimized the effect of the volume change during the charge/discharge process. Both a half cell and a full cell of LIBs with the CNMC anode exhibited high specific capacities and Coulombic efficiendes, even at a high current. More importantly, we for the first time overcame the limitation of MWCNTs as anode materials for fast-charging]discharging LIBs （both half cells and full cells） by employing CuNWs, and the resulting anode can be applied to flexible LIBs. This innovative anode structure can lead to the development of ultrafast chargeable LIBs for electric vehides.

Here,we developed novel extended piecewise bilinear power law(C-m)models to describe flow stresses under broad ranges of strain,strain rate,and temperature for mechanical and metallurgical calculations during metal forming at elevated *** traditional C-m model is improved upon by formulating the material parameters C and m,defined at sample strains and temperatures as functions of the strain *** coefficients are described as a linear combination of the basis functions defined in piecewise patches of the sample strain and temperature domain.A comparison with traditional closed-form function flow models revealed that our approach using the extended piecewise bilinear C-m model is superior in terms of accuracy,ease of use,and adaptability;additionally,the extended C-m model was applicable to numerical analysis of mechanical,metallurgical,and microstructural ***,metallurgy-related values can be calculated directly from the flow stress *** the proposed model was developed for materials at elevated temperatures,it can be applied over a broad temperature range.
