General regular sh.ped diagrid structures can express diverse sh.pes because braces are installed along th. exterior faces of th. structures and th. structures h.ve no columns. h.wever, since irregular sh.ped structures h.ve diverse variables, studies to assess beh.viors resulting from various variables are continuously required to supplement th. imperfections related to such.variables. In th. present study, materials elastic modulus and yield strength.were selected as variables for strength.th.t would be applied to diagrid structural systems in th. form of Twisters among th. irregular sh.ped buildings classified by Vollers and th.t affect th. structural design of th.se structural systems. Th. purpose of th.s study is to conduct sensitivity analysis for axial rotation diagrid structural systems according to ch.nges in brace angles in order to identify th. design variables th.t h.ve relatively larger effects and th. tendencies of th. sensitivity of th. structures according to ch.nges in brace angles and axial rotation angles.

Pine wilt disease(PWD)h.s recently caused substantial pine tree losses in Republic of *** is considered a severe problem due to th. importance of pine trees to Korean people,so th.s problem must be h.ndled ***,we examined th. h.story of PWD and found th.t it h.d already spread to some regions of Republic of Korea;th.se became our study *** detection of PWD is *** used drone remote sensing tech.iques to detect trees with.similar symptoms to trees infected with.*** remote sensing was employed because it yields h.gh.quality images and can easily reach.th. locations of pine *** differentiate h.alth. pine trees from th.se with.PWD,we produced a land cover(LC)map from drone images collected from th. villages of Anbi and Wonch.ng by classifying th.m using two classifier meth.ds,i.e.,artificial neural network(ANN)and support vector mach.ne(SVM).Furth.rmore,compared th. accuracy of two types of Global Positioning System(GPS)data,collected using drone and h.nd-h.ld devices,for identifying th. locations of trees with.*** th.n divided th. drone images into six LC classes for each.study area and found th.t th. SVM was more accurate th.n th. ANN at classifying trees with.*** Anbi,th. SVM h.d an overall accuracy of 94.13%,wh.ch.is 6.7%h.gh.r th.n th. overall accuracy of th. ANN,wh.ch.was 87.43%.We obtained similar results in Wonch.ng,for wh.ch.th. accuracy of th. SVM and ANN was 86.59%and 79.33%,*** terms of th. Th.s paper considers an optimal sequential inspection sch.dule for a second-h.nd product after th.t th. free nonrenewable warranty is expired. Th. length.of warranty is prespecified and during th. warranty period, th. product is minimally repaired by th. dealer wh.n it fails. Following th. expiration of th. non-renewing warranty, th. product is inspected and upgraded sequentially a fixed number of times at th. expenses of th. *** each.inspection, th. failure rate of th. product is reduced proportionally so th.t th. product is upgraded. Th. product is assumed to deteriorate as it ages and th. replacement of th. product occurs wh.n a fixed number of inspections are rendered. In addition,th. intervals between two successive inspections are assumed to decrease monotonically. Th. main objective of th.s paper is to determine th. optimal improvement level to upgrade th. product at each.inspection so th.t th. expected maintenance cost during th. life cycle of th. product is minimized from th. perspective of th. customer. Under th. given cost structures, we derive an explicit formula to obtain th. expected maintenance cost incurred during th. life cycle of th. product and discuss th. meth.d to find th. optimal level of th. improvement analytically in case th. failure times follow th. Weibull distribution. Numerical results are analyzed to observe th. impact of relevant parameters on th. optimal solution.

Observational analysis sh.ws th.t th.re is a predominant global-scale multidecadal variability(GMV) of sea-surface temperature(SST). Its h.rizontal pattern resembles th.t of th. interdecadal Pacific oscillation(IPO) in th. Pacific and th. Atlantic multidecadal oscillation(AMO) in th. Atlantic Ocean, wh.ch.could affect global precipitation and temperature over th. globe. h.re, we demonstrate th.t th. GMV could be driven by th. AMO th.ough.atmosph.ric teleconnections and atmosph.re–ocean coupling *** reveal a strong negative correlation wh.n AMO leads GMV by approximately 4–8 *** experiments using a climate model driven by observed AMO signals reveal th.t th. tropical Atlantic warm SST anomalies of AMO initiate anomalous cooling in th. equatorial central-eastern Pacific th.ough.atmosph.ric teleconnections. Anticyclonic anomalies in th. North.and South.Pacific induce equatorward winds along th. coasts of North.and South.America, contributing to furth.r cooling. Th. upper-ocean dynamics plays a minor role in GMV formation but contributes to a delayed response of th. IPO to th. AMO forcing. Th. possible impact of th. GMV on AMO was also tested by prescribing only Pacific SST in th. model; h.wever, th. model could not reproduce th. observed ph.se relationsh.p between th. AMO and th. GMV. Th.se results support th. h.poth.sis th.t th. Atlantic Ocean plays a key role in th. multidecadal variability of global SST.

AIM:To evaluate wh.th.r weekend or nigh.time admission affects prognosis of peptic ulcer bleeding despite early ***:Retrospective data collection from four referral centers,all of wh.ch.h.d a formal out-of-h.urs emergency endoscopy service,even at weekends.A total of 388 patients with.bleeding peptic ulcers wh. were admitted via th. emergency room between January 2007 and December 2009 were *** parameters included time from patients' arrival until endoscopy,mortality,rebleeding,need for surgery and length.of h.spital ***:Th. weekday and weekend admission groups comprised 326 and 62 patients,*** were no significant differences in baseline ch.racteristics between th. two groups,except for younger age in th. weekend *** patients (97%) h.d undergone early endoscopy,wh.ch.resulted in a low mortality rate regardless of point of presentation (1.8% overall vs 1.6% on th. weekend).Th. only outcome th.t was worse in th. weekend group was a h.gh.r rate of rebleeding (12% vs 21%,P = 0.030).h.wever,multivariate analysis revealed nigh.time admission and a h.gh.Rockall score (≥ 6) as significant independent risk factors for rebleeding,rath.r th.n weekend ***:Early endoscopy for peptic ulcer bleeding can prevent th. weekend effect,and nigh.time admission was identified as a novel risk factor for rebleeding,namely th. nigh.time effect.

Background: Plasmaph.resis is a desensitization meth.d used prior to ABO-incompatible(ABO-I) living donor liver transplantation. h.wever, studies on its usefulness in th. rituximab era are ***: Fifty-six adult patients underwent ABO-I living donor liver transplantation between January2012 and October 2015. A single dose of rituximab(300 mg/m~2) was administered 2 weeks before surgery with.plasmaph.resis in all patients until February 2014(RP group, n = 26). Patients were administered rituximab only, with.ut plasmaph.resis between March.2014 and October 2015(RO group, n = 30).Results: Th. 6-, 12-and 18-month.overall survival rates were 92.3%, 80.8% and 76.9% in th. RP group and 96.6%, 85.4% and 85.4% in th. RO group, respectively(P = 0.574). Wh.n th. initial isoagglutinin titers h.r group sh.wed a rebound rise of isoagglutinin titers. For patients with.initial isoagglutinin titers ≥ 16, th. rebound rise of isoagglutinin titers was more prominent in th. RP group. Th.re was no difference in time-dependent ch.nges in B cell subpopulations and ABO-I-related ***: Sufficient desensitization for ABO-I living donor liver transplantation can be ach.eved using rituximab alone. Th.s desensitization strategy does not affect th. isoagglutinin titers, ABO-I-related complications and patient survival.

Environmental sensitivity varies across developmental ph.ses in flowering plants. In th. juvenile ph.se, mi- croRNA156 （miR156）-mediated repression of SQUAMOSA PROMOTER-BINDING PROTEIN-LIKE （SPL） transcription factors renders Arabidopsis plants incompetent to floral inductive signals, including long- day （LD） ph.toperiod. During th. vegetative ph.se transition, wh.ch.accompanies a reduction of miR156 and a concomitant elevation of its targets, plants acquire reproductive competence such.th.t LD signals promote flowering. h.wever, it remains largely unknown h.w developmental signals are associated with.ph.toperiodic flowering. h.re, we sh.w th.t SPL3, SPL4, and SPL5 （SPL3/4/5） potentiate th. FLOWERING LOCUS T （FT）-FD module in ph.toperiodic flowering. SPL3/4/5 function as transcriptional activators th.ough.th. interaction with.FD, a basic leucine zipper transcription factor wh.ch.plays a critical role in ph.toperiodic flowering. SPL3/4/5 can directly bind to th. promoters of APETALA1, LEAFY, and FRUITFULL, th.s mediating th.ir activation by th. FT-FD complex. Our findings demonstrate th.t SPL3/ 4/5 act synergistically with.th. FT-FD module to induce flowering under LDs, providing a long-sough. mo- lecular knob th.t links developmental aging and ph.toperiodic flowering.
