BAcKGROUND:Ectopic pancreas is defined as pancreatic tissue found outside its usual anatomical position,with no ductal or vascular communication with the native pancreas. We describe a case of ectopic pancreas of the small bowel and mesentery causing recurrent episodes of pancreatitis, initially suspected on computed tomography(cT)and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography(MRcP),and confirmed on histological review of the resection. METHODS:A 67-year-old woman presented with clinical symptoms and biochemical evidence of *** had similar episodes over the past 30 years with unrevealing investigations,and was concluded to have idiopathic pancreatitis. She underwent cT and MRcP,with findings suggestive of ectopic pancreas,a diagnosis confirmed on histology of the resection. RESULTS:MRcP identified a mass in the proximal small bowel mesentery isointense to the native pancreas,with a small duct draining into a proximal jejunal *** resected specimen consisted of normal parenchyma with lobulated acinar tissue with scattered islets of Langerhans,an occasional ductular structure,and admixed areas of adipose *** patient remained asymptomatic with normal biochemistry six months post-operatively. cONcLUSION:In an individual with abdominal pain,elevated serum amylase/lipase,but imaging findings of a normal native pancreas,ectopic pancreatitis should be considered,and can be evaluated by cT and MRcP.

Recently,single nucleotide polymorphisms,in the vicinity of the interferon lambda 3(IFNL3)gene have been identified as the strongest predictor of spontaneous and treatment induced clearance of hepatitis c virus(HcV)*** then,increasing evidence has implicated the innate immune response in mediating the IFNL3 genotype *** cells(Dcs)are key to the host immune response in HcV infection and their vital role in the IFNL3 genotype effect is *** have identified subclasses of Dcs,particularly myeloid Dc2s and potentially plasmacytoid Dcs as the major producers of IFNL3 in the setting of HcV *** the complexities of dendritic cell biology and the conflicting current available data,this review aims to summarize what is currently known regarding the role of dendritic cells in HcV infection and to placeit into context of what is know about lambda interferons and dendritic cells in general.

Between Scylla and charybdis:The role of the human immune system in the pathogenesis of hepatitis c

Hepatitis c virus(HcV)frequently elicits only mild immune responses so that it can often establish chronic *** this case HcV antigens persist and continue to stimulate the immune *** persistence then leads to profound changes in the infected host’s immune responsiveness,and eventually contributes to the pathology of chronic *** topic highlight summarizes changes associated with chronic hepatitis c concerning innate immunity(interferons,natural killer cells),adaptive immune responses(immunoglobulins,T cells,and mechanisms of immune regulation(regulatory T cells).Our overview clarifies that a strong anti-HcV immune response is frequently associated with acute severe tissue *** chronic hepatitis c,however,the effector arms of the immune system either become refractory to activation or take over regulatory *** together these changes in immunity may lead to persistent liver damage and ***,effector arms of the immune system will not only be considered with respect to antiviral defence but also as pivotal mechanisms of inflammation,necrosis and progression to ***,avoiding Scylla-a strong,sustained antiviral immune response with inital tissue damage-takes the infected host to virus-triggered immunopathology,which ultimately leads to cirrhosis and liver cancerthe realm of charybdis.

Energy Aware Processor Architecture for Effective Scheduling and Power Management in cloud Using Inclusive Power-cognizant Processor controller

The fast acceptance of cloud technology to industry explains increasing energy conservation needs and adoption of energy aware scheduling methods to cloud. Power consumption is one of the top of mind issues in cloud, because the usage of cloud storage by the individuals or organization grows rapidly. Developing an efficient power management processor architecture has gained considerable attention. However, the conventional power management mechanism fails to consider task scheduling policies. Therefore, this work presents a novel energy aware framework for power management. The proposed system leads to the development of Inclusive Power-cognizant Processor controller (IPcPc) for efficient power utilization. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, simulation experiments inputting random tasks as well as tasks collected from Google Trace Logs were conducted to validate the supremacy of IPcPc. The research based on Real world Google Trace Logs gives results that proposed framework leads to less than 9% of total power consumption per task of server which proves reduction in the overall power needed.

cyanido-bridged one-dimensional systems assembled from [Re~Ⅳcl_4(cN)_2]_(2-) and [M~Ⅱ(cyclam)]^(2+) (M=Ni,cu) precursors

Three new cyanido-bridged heterometallic ReIVNin and ReIVcu one-dimensional systems were synthesized and extensively characterized both structurally and magnetically. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that these compounds display a common topology, with chains composed of alternating [RetVc14（cN）2]2- and [Mn（cyclam）]2＋（M = Ni in 1, cu in 2） or [cull（N,N＇-dimethylcyclam）]2＋（in 3） building units. Two different chain orientations with a tilt angle of ca. 51° to 55° are present in the crystal packing of these compounds. The magnetic susceptibility measurements suggest the presence of intrachain ferromagnetic interactions between the S = 3/2 ReTM centers and the 3d metal ions： S = 1 Ni1I or S = 1/2 cuII. At low temperature, a three-dimensional ordered magnetic phase induced by interchain antiferromagnetic interactions （antiferromagnetic for 1 and 2; canted antiferromagnetic for 3） is detected for the three compounds.

Hepatitis c infection and lymphoproliferative disease:Accidental comorbidities?

chronic hepatitis c virus(HcV)infection has been associated with liver cancer and cirrhosis,autoimmune disorders such as thyroiditis and mixed cryoglobulinema,and alterations in immune function and chronic inflammation,both implicated in B cell lymphoproliferative diseases that may progress to non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL).HcV bound to B cell surface receptors can induce lymphoproliferation,leading to DNA mutations and/or lower antigen response *** findings and epidemiological reports suggest an association between HcV infection and *** performed a systematic review of the literature to clarify this potential *** searched the English-language literature utilizing Medline,Embase,Paper First,Web ofScience,Google Scholar,and the cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews,with search terms broadly defined to capture discussions of HcV and its relationship with NHL and/or lymphoproliferative *** were screened to further identify relevant studies and literature in the basic sciences.A total of 62 reports discussing the relationship between HcV,NHL,and lymphoproliferative diseases were *** studies suggest that at least a portion of NHL may be etiologically attributable to HcV,particularly in areas with high HcV *** that showed a lack of association between HcV infection and lymphoma may have been influenced by small sample size,short follow-up periods,and database *** association appears strongest with the B-cell lymphomas relative to other lymphoproliferative *** by which chronic HcV infection promotes lymphoproliferative disease remains *** is a multifactorial process involving genetic,environmental,and infectious *** most probably have a role in the lymphomagenesis but further study to clarify the association and underlying mechanisms is warranted.

Three-dimensional tracks provide unique insights into the locomotor mechanics of their track makers. An isolated, large hadrosauriform print attributable to caririchnium lotus from the ＂mid＂-cretaceous Lotus track site （Jiaguan Formation） in china permits reconstruction of the footfall, weight-bearing, and kick-off phases of the step cycle. Large-scale modifications of the pes during the step cycle indicate c. lotus trackmakers were capable of locomotory modifications in response to substrate consistency beyond the ＂expected＂ shift between bipedal and quadrupedal postures. An unusual curvature to the trace of one of the outer digits indicates substantial transverse mobility. The remaining digits demonstrate lesser degrees of transverse movement accompanied by extension of the digits during footfall. The absence of overprinted scale-scratch marks and toe drags are consistent with a vertical kick-off of the pes and concomitant flexion of the digits. This track suggests that pedal mobility in c. lotus track makers was greater than previously suspected and has implications for reconstructions of hadrosauriform locomotion.
