Objectives:The purpose of this work was to study the infection course and cross-protection in mice after intradermal injection of Vaccinia virus(VAcV) strain Western Reserve and three Brazilian VAcV strains: Aracatuba,Muriae and BeAn58058 isolated from cow,human and rodent,***:Balb/c mice were inoculated by footpad and back scarification and daily monitored regarding lesion development and weight *** check cross protection after intradermal VAcV inoculation,mice were subsequendy infected with different VAcV strains and monitored to check lesion *** neutralization assays were performed to check for the presence of antibodies against ***:After VAcV intradermal inoculation the lesion development pattern was similar in mice infected with the different virus *** using the footpad scarification model,cross-protection among VAcV strains was ***,neutralizing antibodies against Orthopoxvirus were detected in sera from mice infected with all VAcV ***:Although it was not possible to observe virulence differences among VAcV strains isolated from cow,rodent and human using the murine model,this inoculation route showed to be an appropriated model to study lesions development since it mimics natural infections by VAcV in nature.

Genetic susceptibility to metabolic associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is complex and poorly *** characterization of the genetic background of hepatic fat content would provide insights into disease etiology and causality of risk *** performed genome-wide association study(GWAS)on two noninvasive definitions of hepatic fat content:magnetic resonance imaging proton density fat fraction(MRI-pDFF)in 16,050 participants and fatty liver index(FLI)in 388,701 participants from the United Kingdom(UK)Biobank(UKBB).Heritability,genetic overlap,and similarity between hepatic fat content phenotypes were analyzed,and replicated in 10,398 participants from the University Medical center Groningen(UMcG)Genetics Lifelines Initiative(UGLI).Meta-analysis of GWASs of MRI-pDFF in UKBB revealed five statistically significant loci,including two novel genomic loci harboring cREB3L1(rs72910057-T,p=5.40E−09)and GcM1(rs1491489378-T,p=3.16E−09),respectively,as well as three previously reported loci:pNpLA3,TM6SF2,and *** of FLI in UKBB identified 196 genome-wide significant loci,of which 49 were replicated in UGLI,with top signals in ZpR1(p=3.35E−13)and FTO(p=2.11E−09).Statistically significant genetic correlation(rg)between MRI-pDFF(UKBB)and FLI(UGLI)GWAS results was found(rg=0.5276,p=1.45E−03).Novel MRI-pDFF genetic signals(cREB3L1 and GcM1)were replicated in the FLI *** identified two novel genes for MRI-pDFF and 49 replicable loci for *** a difference in hepatic fat content assessment between MRI-pDFF and FLI,a substantial similar genetic architecture was *** is identified as an easy and reliable approach to study hepatic fat content at the population level.

＜正＞Model studies into the consequences of flooding events are usually focused on damage to buildings, infrastructure, economic losses and casualties thus ignoring the risk of environmental damage. In this project, a model study was made to assess the environmental consequences of the release of pollutants during the flooding of a polder district in the Netherlands following a river dike breach. A conceptual framework was established for the sequence of events or ’chain reaction’ during a flood. A dike breach is formed, the scour of the flood waters and/or high water levels may damage or destroy objects like homes, industrial complexes and farms;damaged objects release hazardous substances that will be dispersed in the flood waters including suspended matter and the released chemicals will affect people and ecosystems in the inundated area. The analyses were made in the 50,000 ha case study area ’Krimpen’, located in the western Netherlands near the cities of Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague. The simulated period of flooding was ten days. The failure of objects where hazardous chemicals are stocked was linked to water height and velocity. The release and migration of pollutants like volatile aromatics, germs, sum pAH, pcB, LNApL, DNApL, heavy metals, nutrients and pesticides was simulated with an innovative, integrated modelling tool. The assessed impact of the pollutants on the environment was found to be substantial. Small yet numerous sources like cars may release substantial amounts of toxic chemicals to the flood waters and suspended sediments during and after the flood, while large installations like chemical plants only give problems near the dike breach where high flow velocities prevail. The simulated concentrations of toxic substances frequently exceeded the legal threshold levels.

The central importance of quantum chemistry is to obtain solutions of the Schr?dinger equation for the accurate determination of the properties of atomic and molecular systems that occurred from the calculation of wave functions accurate for many diatomic and polyatomic molecules, using Self consistent Field method (ScF). The application of quantum chemical methods in the study and planning of bioactive compounds has become a common practice nowadays. From the point of view of planning it is important to note, when it comes to the use of molecular modeling, a collective term that refers to methods and theoretical modeling and computational techniques to mimic the behavior of molecules, not intend to reach a bioactive molecule simply through the use of computer programs. The choice of method for energy minimization depends on factors related to the size of the molecule, parameters of availability, stored data and computational resources. Molecular models generated by the computer are the result of mathematical equations that estimate the positions and properties of the electrons and nuclei, the calculations exploit experimentally, the characteristics of a structure, providing a new perspective on the molecule. In this work we show that studies of Highest Occupied Molecular Orbital Energy (HOMO), Low Unoccupied Molecular Orbital Energy (LUMO) and Map of molecular electrostatic potential (MEp) using Hatree-Fock method with different basis sets (HF/3-21G*, HF/3-21G**, HF/6-31G, HF/6-31G*, HF/6-31G** and HF/6-311G), that are of great importance in modern chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and other fields of knowledge of health sciences. In the face of new diseases, medicine needs to reinvent itself in order to contain and control epidemics, such as the one we have recently faced, cOVID-19, a disease with a wide spectrum of clinical severity. A new moment has been established, since the application of well-known, effective and safe medications for other diseases, has shown high success rates in the treatment of cOVID-19. Thereunto, studies with early intervention are needed, which can change the unfavorable outcome of patients. In this article, we report the successful experience using an oral strategy during the collapse of Belem (para, Brazil) Health System. Two hundred and ten patients were diagnosed with respiratory failure due to cOVID-19, with no option of hospital treatment due to lack of beds and resources. These patients were then started on therapeutic regimen consisting of 40 mg prednisolone, 40 mg enoxaparin and macrolides (500 mg clarithromycin, 500 mg axetylcefuroxime) associated and followed in outpatient facilities. Two hundred and eight patients had an excellent therapeutic response and there were only two fatalities. These results push research boundaries, valuing outpatient treatment with early use of prednisolone in the initial pulmonary phase, preventing severe cOVID-19 pneumonitis. Adoption of the proposed treatment intends to reduce the need for hospitalization, as well as lethality, with social robust benefits and incalculable economic savings since involves the use of accessible, safe and not expensive medications.

在巴西巴伊亚州caetité的东北LagoaReal地方,计有10万吨左右U3O8的铀矿床产于切穿太古代基底片麻岩的韧性剪切带中（图1）。片麻岩年龄为26—30亿年,为角闪岩至麻粒岩相级变质。一般认为这类岩石是地壳基底p_流体>p_负载,深15km处,温度540c,含δ18O为-4‰的条件下迁入的。在这里我们要指出,元古代沉积中超压大气水补给的1000km3的建造卤水是通过水力破碎作用（hydrofracturing）向上穿过上覆热片麻岩而释出的,随着释出而产生的地质制约因素是恒定的。
