Water pollution is one of the most important issues of the 21st century. It takes place when the pollutants are being entered into a water reservoir without any treatment. Heavy metals are one of the major harmful pollutants that exist in the water;therefore, it is necessary to remove these toxic metals to keep our environment safe. Biosorption is an ecofriendly and economical technique for the elimination of these toxic metals from polluted water. In this research work roots, stems, and leaves of Momordica charantia (Bitter gourd) were used as biosorbent for the elimination of Pb (II) ions from aqueous solution. Many different parameters such as metal ion solution pH, biomass dosage, initial metal ions concentration and contact time were optimized in the batch experiments. The calculated results revealed that biosorption of Pb (II) was maximum at solution pH 5, biosorbent dosage of 0.1 g and 100 ppm of initial metal ions concentration within 240 minutes of contact time. M. charantia’s leaves showed the highest level of lead biosorption capacity (47.62%), followed by stems (42.36%) and roots (38.47%). The Freundlich isotherm and pseudo-second order kinetics model fitted well for the analytical data. The results indicated that Momordica charantia is an effective biosorbent for Pb (II) ions elimination from wastewater.

Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is a significant health concern affecting pregnant women worldwide. It is characterized by elevated blood sugar levels during pregnancy and poses risks to both maternal and fetal health. Maternal complications of GDM include an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes later in life, as well as hypertension and preeclampsia during pregnancy. Fetal complications may include macrosomia (large birth weight), birth injuries, and an increased risk of developing metabolic disorders later in life. Understanding the demographics, risk factors, and biomarkers associated with GDM is crucial for effective management and prevention strategies. This research aims to address these aspects comprehensively through the analysis of a dataset comprising 600 pregnant women. By exploring the demographics of the dataset and employing data modeling techniques, the study seeks to identify key risk factors associated with GDM. Moreover, by analyzing various biomarkers, the research aims to gain insights into the physiological mechanisms underlying GDM and its implications for maternal and fetal health. The significance of this research lies in its potential to inform clinical practice and public health policies related to GDM. By identifying demographic patterns and risk factors, healthcare providers can better tailor screening and intervention strategies for pregnant women at risk of GDM. Additionally, insights into biomarkers associated with GDM may contribute to the development of novel diagnostic tools and therapeutic approaches. Ultimately, by enhancing our understanding of GDM, this research aims to improve maternal and fetal outcomes and reduce the burden of this condition on healthcare systems and society. The Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a network that is constructed in regions that are inaccessible to human *** widespread deployment of wireless micro sensors will make it possible to conduct accurate environmental monitoring for a use in both civil and military *** make use of these data to monitor and keep track of the physical data of the surrounding environment in order to ensure the sustainability of the *** data have to be picked up by the sensor,and then sent to the sink node where they may be *** nodes of the WSNs are powered by batteries,therefore they eventually run out of *** energy restriction has an effect on the network life span and environmental *** objective of this study is to further improve the Engroove Leach(EL)protocol’s energy efficiency so that the network can operate for a very long time while consuming the least amount of *** lifespan of WSNs is being extended often using clustering and routing *** Meta Inspired Hawks Fragment Optimization(MIHFO)system,which is based on passive clustering,is used in this study to do *** cluster head is chosen based on the nodes’residual energy,distance to neighbors,distance to base station,node degree,and node *** on distance,residual energy,and node degree,an algorithm known as Heuristic Wing Antfly Optimization(HWAFO)selects the optimum path between the cluster head and Base Station(BS).They examine the number of nodes that are active,their energy consumption,and the number of data packets that the BS *** overall experimentation is carried out under the MATLAB *** the analysis,it has been discovered that the suggested approach yields noticeably superior outcomes in terms of throughput,packet delivery and drop ratio,and average energy consumption.

Change is the law of nature. Every writer enriches literature by coining new ideas. As Aristotle disagreed with Plato by saying that poetry is not blind but creative imitation, and emotions if remain pent up in mind, would erupt sooner or later like a volcano. Later on Classics have written poetry either to praise kings and queens, or to reform the society, but Romantics like Aristotle ushered against Classics and penned down writings bearing entirely different characteristics than earlier poetry with creative imagination. This paper is captivating study of the meanings and changing characteristics of romantic poetry during 19th century. Romanticism means having a visionary, imaginative or emotional appeal, to give emotions upper hand over reason. It was not a sudden movement, tends and tendencies were already there, which reached to its climax in hands of Blake, Wordsworth, Shelley, Keats and Byron, who awakened against Pope, Swift and Johnson. Romanticism has its origin in French revolution. The distinctive features of French revolution are freedom, brotherhood and equality. Romanticism was a revolt against the system through which they tried to change the status of common men. William Blake was foremost among romantics who believed that this vegetable world is, but only a shadow of the real world which is of imagination and attempted to convey the celestial message of love everywhere. In the poetry of Wordsworth and Coleridge, the naturalistic tendency remained more prominent, whereas Keats＇ and Shelley＇s poetry in a more specified sense was romantic marked by the emphasis on love of the supernatural, the marvelous and the exotic mythological world. Victorian poetry was not original like Romantics. Romantics introduced poetry bearing entirely different character than earlier poetry, with original ideas, whereas Victorian poets had written about social problems. 中国旅游市场发展迅猛,中国游客出境目的地选择成为世界许多国家关注的热点话题,安全问题是影响游客出游的重要因素,长期以来巴基斯坦并非中国游客的热门旅游目的地之选。但是,自从CPEC成立以来,巴基斯坦已成为中国游客的旅游热点,而且该国安全状况的改善也吸引了更多的中国游客。中巴经济走廊（CPEC）进一步提升两国之间的旅交流和沟通,也产生一定的社会经济效益。本研究旨在探讨中国游客对前往巴基斯坦旅游的风险感知和行为意向的特征以及二者之间关系。论文采用问卷调查法,基于李克特量表,调查了154名受访者,根据访问前和访问后的经历通过开放式和封闭式问题进行填写。数据统计分析采用因子分析和相关性分析等定量统计分析方法。研究表明:（a）中国游客对巴基斯坦的总体感知程度为59%的受访者对巴基斯坦不太了解。96%的受访者听说过巴基斯坦,19%的受访者对巴基斯坦及其文化有基本了解。（b）调查结果显示,44%的游客有较高的旅游意向,他们希望更多地了解巴基斯坦。（c）风险感知与旅游意向的关系显著,且呈正向关系。（d）总体上从“文化风险”出发,提取出影响旅游者旅游意向的风险因素,第二个负荷为.735,第二个负荷为.682,第三个负荷为.538,属于“文化风险”。结论包括除性别外,所有分析的人口统计学特征均与特定的感知风险类别显著相关。非旅行者比旅行者更关心犯罪伤害和基础设施问题,而年轻旅行者最常讨论抽象的担忧和健康威胁,他们更关心金钱问题、健康风险和语言障碍。刑事伤害被所有年龄段的人视为旅行风险。

Every term has a meaning but there are terms which have multiple meanings. Identifying the correct meaning of a term in a specific context is the goal of Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD) applications. Identifying the correct sense of a term given a limited context is even harder. This research aims at solving the problem of identifying the correct sense of a term given only one term as its context. The main focus of this research is on using Wikipedia as the external knowledge source to decipher the true meaning of each term using a single term as the context. We experimented with the semantically rich Wikipedia senses and hyperlinks for context disambiguation. We also analyzed the effect of sense filtering on context extraction and found it quite effective for contextual disambiguation. Results have shown that disambiguation with filtering works quite well on manually disambiguated dataset with the performance accuracy of 86%.

Factors influencing online information acquisition: The case of Chinese college students

Purpose： This study intends to examine the factors that influence Chinese college students＇ use of the lnternet for acquiring information. Design/methodology/approach： This paper developed the research model by using the technology acceptance model （TAM） and information system success model as the theoretical foundation. The proposed model was empirically tested with the structural equation modeling technique based on data collected from a survey of 357 college students. Findings： The results show that 1） perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and perceived playfulness all have a positive impact on the intention to use the Internet for acquiring information, 2） use context and system quality significantly influence perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and 3） service quality has a positive impact on perceived ease of use but not on perceived usefulness. Likewise information quality has no positive effect on perceived usefulness. Research limitations： The survey respondents were mainly from college students in Nanjing. We need to recruit college students in the western or other developing areas in China to further validate our findings. Practical implications： This study puts forward some feasible suggestions for university libraries to improve information organization and the use of digital library resources to better meet the needs of library users. Originality/value： This study provides insights into the understanding of the factors affecting college students＇ online information acquisition from multiple perspectives.

Detection of Tocopherol in Oilseed Rape (Brassica napus L.) Using Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detector

The variation among Chinese genotypes of Brassica napus L. for seed tocopherols content and their analysis using gas chromatography has not been comprehensively reported till to date. In the present study, the tocopherol contents of four Chinese genotypes of Brassica napus L., namely, Gaoyou 605, Zhejiang 619, Zheshuang 758, and Zheshuang 72, were evaluated using three modified sample preparation protocols （P1, P2, and P3） for tocopherol extraction. These methods were distinguished as follows. Protocol one （P1） included the evaporation of solvent after extraction without silylation. Protocol two （P2） followed the direct supernatant collection after overnight extraction without drying and silylation. Protocol three （P3） included trimethylsilylation with N,O-bis（trimethylsilyl） trifluoroacetamide. Genotypic comparison of tocopherol and its isoforms revealed that Gaoyou 605 was dominant over the other genotypes with （140.5＋ 10.5）, （316.2＋ 9.2）, and （559.1＋ 24.3） ~tg g-~ of seed meal ct-, 7-, and total （T-） tocopherol, respectively, and a 0.44＋0.04 ^- to 7-tocopherol ratio. The comparison of the sample preparation protocols, on the other hand, suggests that P3 is the most suitable method for the tocopherol extraction from Brassica oilseeds and for the analysis of tocopherols using gas chromatography flame ionization detector （GC-FID）. Trimethylsilylation is the key step differentiating P3 from P1 and P2. Variations detected in tocopherol contents among the Chinese rapeseed （B. napus） genotypes signify the need to quantify a wide range of rapeseed germplasm for seed tocopherol dynamics in short and crop improvement in long.

In an era of unprecedented urbanization, population and industrial growth pressure is serious threat for the water management in Pakistan in present days. Water pollution from raw sewage, industrial wastes, and agricultural runoff limited natural fresh water resources in the country. Human health is facing serious problems due to deteriorating drinking water quality. Current review paper provides an insight to the water quality problems in Pakistan with an attempt to emphasize the challenges of water laws enforcement. Although Pakistan has developed many water laws the state of implementation is dominant, intermediate pollution crises are still remaining. We could come to the conclusion that strictly enforcement is compulsory for water environment regulations in Pakistan. Moreover, it is necessary to establish a reliable risk assessment system for water quality, human health and ecological safety.
