Simulation of the extreme waves generated by typhoon Bolaven (1215) in the East China Sea and Yellow Sea

Record-breaking high waves occurred during the passage of the typhoon Bolaven（1215）（TYB） in the East China Sea（ECS） and Yellow Sea（YS） although its intensity did not reach the level of a super *** and directional wave measurements were made using a range of in-situ instruments mounted on an ocean tower and *** order to understand how such high waves with long duration occurred,analyses have been made through measurement and numerical *** winds were generated using the TC96 typhoon wind model with the best track data calibrated with the *** then the wind fields were blended with the reanalyzed synoptic-scale wind fields for a wave *** fields were simulated using WAM4.5 with adjustment of C_d for gust of winds and bottom friction for the study *** the accuracy of simulations is considerably enhanced,and the computed results are also in better agreement with measured data than *** is found that the extremely high waves evolved as a result of the superposition of distant large swells and high wind seas generated by strong winds from the front/right quadrant of the typhoon *** the typhoon moved at a speed a little slower than the dominant wave group velocity in a consistent direction for two days,the wave growth was significantly enhanced by strong wind input in an extended fetch and non-linear interaction.

Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have drawn significant attention owing to their high theoretical discharge capacity and energy ***,the dissolution of long-chain polysulfides into the electrolyte during the charge and discharge process(“shuttle effect”)results in fast capacity fading and inferior electrochemical *** this study,Mn_(2)O_(3)with an ordered mesoporous structure(OM-Mn_(2)O_(3))was designed as a cathode host for LSBs via kiT-6 hard templating,to effectively inhibit the polysulfide shuttle ***-Mn_(2)O_(3)offers numerous pores to confine sulfur and tightly anchor the dissolved polysulfides through the combined effects of strong polar-polar interactions,polysulfides,and sulfur chain *** OM-Mn_(2)O_(3)/S composite electrode delivered a discharge capacity of 561 mAh g-1 after 250 cycles at 0.5 C owing to the excellent performance of OM-Mn_(2)O_(3).Furthermore,it retained a discharge capacity of 628mA h g-1 even at a rate of 2 C,which was significantly higher than that of a pristine sulfur electrode(206mA h g-1).These findings provide a prospective strategy for designing cathode materials for high-performance LSBs.

BACKGROUND Pulmonary lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma(PLELC)is a rare type of nonsmall-cell lung *** lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma(LELC)metastasis secondary to PLELC has not been reported *** SUMMARY A 64-year-old female was admitted to our hospital for a regular gastroscopy examination with a 6-year history of surgical resection for left *** emission tomography/computed tomography suggested high accumulation of 18F-fludeoxyglucose in the gastric cardia *** gastrointestinal endoscopy confirmed a large mass at the stomach ***(IHC)of the biopsy suggested metastatic stomach *** gastrectomy showed that this 6.5 cm×5.0 cm mass was located in the stomach fundus near the *** examination showed a poorly differentiated carcinoma with prominent lymphoplasmacytic *** demonstrated that the tumor was positive for CK(AE1/AE3),p63,p40,p53,ki-67(70%),and EGFR(3+)and negative for CK7,CK20,Her2,and *** situ hybridization analysis showed positive staining Epstein-Barr virus-encoded *** programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)expression score was 98%,and the combined positive score was 100,with no evidence of microsatellite ***,the patient was unequivocally diagnosed with metastatic stomach LELC secondary to pulmonary *** discharge,this patient underwent PD-1 inhibitor treatment(toripalimab,240 mg)every 3 wk for ten cycles,and she has had no tumor *** For gastric LELC metastasis,PD-1 inhibitor therapy could become a new therapeutic approach,though there is still no evidence from large data sets to support this.

Curcumin inhibits colorectal cancer development by blocking the YAP/TAZ signaling axis

Background:Curcumin is a plant polyphenol with antitumor properties and inhibits the development of colorectal cancer(CRC).However,as the molecular mechanism associated is still unclear,our study aimed to explore the underlying molecular mechanisms by which curcumin inhibits ***:HT29 and SW480 cells were treated with curcumin or/and Doxycycline(DOX),and cell viability,colony forming ability,migration and invasion were conﬁrmed by cell counting kit-8(CCK-8),colony forming,Transwell *** Yes-associated protein 1(YAP)and PDZ-binding motif(TAZ)signaling-related genes or proteins were analyzed using reverse transcription quantitative real-time PCR(RT-qPCR),western blot,and immunoﬂuorescence *** nude mice xenograft tumor model was constructed,YAP and ki67 expressions were tested by immunohistochemistry(IHC)***:In our study,we proved that curcumin signiﬁcantly inhibited the CRC cell viability,cell migration,and cell invasion *** addition,curcumin inhibited YAP and Transcriptional coactivator with TAZ or the YAP/TAZ signaling axis in CRC ***,in the nude mice model,curcumin treatment signiﬁcantly decreased the size and weight of xenotransplant ***:Therefore,curcumin signiﬁcantly inhibited CRC development and invasion by regulating the YAP/TAZ signaling axis.

Ransomware Classification Framework Using the Behavioral Performance Visualization of Execution Objects

A ransomware attack that interrupted the operation of Colonial Pipeline(a large *** pipeline company),showed that security threats by malware have become serious enough to affect industries and social infrastructure rather than individuals *** agents and characteristics of attacks should be identified,and appropriate strategies should be established accordingly in order to respond to such *** this purpose,the first task that must be performed is malware *** creators are well aware of this and apply various concealment and avoidance techniques,making it difficult to classify *** study focuses on new features and classification techniques to overcome these *** propose a behavioral performance visualization method using utilization patterns of system resources,such as the central processing unit,memory,and input/output,that are commonly used in performance analysis or tuning of *** extracted the usage patterns of the system resources for ransomware to performbehavioral performance *** results of the classification performance evaluation using the visualization results indicate an accuracy of at least 98.94%with a 3.69%loss ***,we designed and implemented a framework to perform the entire process—from data extraction to behavioral performance visualization and classification performance measurement—that is expected to contribute to related studies in the future.

Endorepellin plays a key role in the regulation of angiogenesis,but its effects on angiogenesis after traumatic brain injury are *** study explored the effects of endorepellin on angiogenesis and neurobehavioral outcomes after traumatic brain injury in *** were randomly divided into four groups:sham,controlled cortical impact only,adeno-associated virus(AAV)-green fluorescent protein,and AAV-shEndorepellin-green fluorescent protein *** the controlled cortical impact model,the transduction of AAV-shEndorepellin-green fluorescent protein downregulated endorepellin while increasing the number of CD31+/ki-67+proliferating endothelial cells and the functional microvessel density in mouse *** changes resulted in improved neurological function compared with controlled cortical impact *** blotting revealed increased expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and angiopoietin-1 in mice treated with AAV-shEndorepellin-green fluorescent *** radiation angiography showed that endorepellin downregulation promoted angiogenesis and increased cortical neovascularization,which may further improve neurobehavioral ***,an in vitro study showed that downregulation of endorepellin increased tube formation by human umbilical vein endothelial cells compared with a *** analysis found that endorepellin downregulation may mediate angiogenesis by activating vascular endothelial growth factor-and angiopoietin-1-related signaling pathways.

Performance Analysis of a Chunk-Based Speech Emotion Recognition Model Using RNN

Recently,artiﬁcial-intelligence-based automatic customer response sys-tem has been widely used instead of customer service ***,it is important for automatic customer service to promptly recognize emotions in a customer’s voice to provide the appropriate service ***,we analyzed the performance of the emotion recognition(ER)accuracy as a function of the simulation time using the proposed chunk-based speech ER(CSER)*** proposed CSER model divides voice signals into 3-s long chunks to efﬁ-ciently recognize characteristically inherent emotions in the customer’s *** evaluated the performance of the ER of voice signal chunks by applying four RNN techniques—long short-term memory(LSTM),bidirectional-LSTM,gated recurrent units(GRU),and bidirectional-GRU—to the proposed CSER model individually to assess its ER accuracy and time efﬁ*** results reveal that GRU shows the best time efﬁciency in recognizing emotions from speech signals in terms of accuracy as a function of simulation time.

文章以210名国内高校外语教师为研究对象,在计划行为理论的基础上结合结构方程模型和半结构化访谈的研究方法,探讨了教师对将非正式数字化英语学习整合到教学实践中的意愿。研究发现:(1)态度和知觉行为控制可以直接影响高校教师对课程整合非正式数字化英语学习的行为意愿,而主观规范则不能对该意愿起显著的预测作用;(2)高校教师对非正式数字化英语学习的态度受到其数字素养水平的显著影响;(3)对知觉行为控制的评估受到外部信念及特定教学环境等多种主客观条件的影响。研究结果有助于为国内高校外语教师专业发展和课外数字化英语教学议程设置提供参考。
