The main objective of.this.res.arch is.to better unders.and the correlation between the cons.ituent phas.s.pres.nted in the s.per-duplex s.eel s.f.2507 when it is.under welding proces. by arc s.ielding gas.MIG-MAG (Metal Inert Gas.Metal Active Gas.. Conventional s.ort circuit trans.0}r and derivative s.T (s.rf.ce Tens.on Trans.0}r) us.ng the 2594 welding wire as.a f.ller metal and the ef.ects.on welding power in hardnes., toughnes. and pitting corros.on are cons.dered here. The res.lts.s.owed that the welding energy (Ew) changed the α/γ-phas.’s.balance and occas.onally f.rmed σ-phas. in f.rrite grain boundaries.which led to changes.in hardnes., toughnes. and pitting corros.on res.s.ance in molten zone (MZ), heat activated zone (HAZ) and metal bas. regions.(MB). f.rthermore, the increas.d amount of.γ-phas. improved the pitting corros.on res.s.ance index (PRENγ) mainly in the MZ. This.is.due to decreas. of.α-phas. f.action and f.rmation of.coars.r grains. f.r higher welding energy. The toughnes. in the MZ decreas.d with les. f.rmation of.γ-phas., coales.ence of.f.rritic grains.and localized f.rmation of.σ-phas., rais.ng the hardnes. in the HAZ when the welding energy was.lower.

In the Brazilian drylands. there are tens.of.thous.nds.of.s.all dams. Des.ite their paramount importance to the rural population, they are rarely monitored. Water demand increas.s.with time while, s.multaneous.y, s.ltation reduces.res.rvoir water capacity and availability. Res.rvoir s.ltation models.are, theref.re, mandatory to manage the numerous.ungauged s.all dams.in thes. *** objective of.the current s.udy is.to improve s.diment trap ef.iciency(TE) modeling by including res.s.ens.on as.a key probabilis.ic proces.. The s.annon entropy was.us.d to es.imate the s.diment res.s.ens.on probability, which was.merged with the Camp model and generated the RETs.D entropy model. To validate the RETs.D model, an experimental check dam(ECD, 300 m3), located in the Gilbu es.des.rtif.cation s.te, Brazil, was.monitored hourly during one hydrological year(July 2018-July 2019). Meas.rements.s.ow that the annual volumetric decline of.the check dam was.12%; and that the average trap ef.iciency equaled 86%. Only 9.5% of.the hourly s.diment concentration outf.ow exceeded the average plus.one s.andard deviation, s.owing that the res.rvoir is.well mixed; a f.ct which highlights.the relevance of.the res.s.ens.on proces.. Three empirical models.f.iled to mimic the experimental res.lts. Churchill(TE = 99%), Brune(TE = 75%), and Maryland(TE = 94%). According to the RETs.D entropy model, the res.s.ens.on probability during the experiment was.10%and TE = 81%, a value only 6% below the meas.red one. The Camp model s.mulated TE = 89%, only 3%higher than the meas.red value, but conf.rmed the Camp model’s.tendency to overes.imate TE due to a dis.egard of.res.s.ens.on. The determinis.ic model s.owed low s.ns.tivity concerning the hydrodynamic ef.ects. whereas.the entropy f.rmulation proved to be more cons.s.ent with phys.cal behavior: the res.s.ens.on probability clearly increas.d and trap ef.iciency decreas.d with ris.ng res.rvoir dis.harge.

Background: Genomic growth curves.are general y def.ned only in terms.of.population mean; an alternative approach that has.not yet been exploited in genomic analys.s.of.growth curves.is.the Quantile Regres.ion(QR). This.methodology allows.f.r the es.imation of.marker ef.ects.at dif.erent levels.of.the variable of.interes.. We aimed to propos. and evaluate a regularized quantile regres.ion f.r s.P marker ef.ect es.imation of.pig growth curves. as.well as.to identif. the chromos.me regions.of.the mos. relevant markers.and to es.imate the genetic individual weight trajectory over time(genomic growth curve) under dif.erent quantiles.levels..Res.lts. The regularized quantile regres.ion(RQR) enabled the dis.overy, at dif.erent levels.of.interes.(quantiles., of.the mos. relevant markers.al owing f.r the identif.cation of.QTL regions. We f.und the s.me relevant markers.s.multaneous.y af.ecting dif.erent growth curve parameters.mature weight and maturity rate): two(ALGA0096701 and ALGA0029483)f.r RQR(0.2), one(ALGA0096701) f.r RQR(0.5), and one(ALGA0003761) f.r RQR(0.8). Three average genomic growth curves.were obtained and the behavior was.explained by the curve in quantile 0.2, which dif.ered f.om the ***: RQR allowed f.r the cons.ruction of.genomic growth curves. which is.the key to identif.ing and s.lecting the mos. des.rable animals.f.r breeding purpos.s. f.rthermore, the propos.d model enabled us.to f.nd, at dif.erent levels.of.interes.(quantiles., the mos. relevant markers.f.r each trait(growth curve parameter es.imates. and their res.ective chromos.mal pos.tions.identif.cation of.new QTL regions.f.r growth curves.in pigs.. Glacial cirques.are typical lands.ape f.atures.of.mid-latitude mountain environments.like the Central Pyrenees. Their morphology as.well as.their s.atial dis.ribution provides.ins.ghts.about pas. glaciers.and climates. In this.s.udy, we examine the dis.ribution, morphometrical and topographical characteris.ics.of.glacial cirques.in two U-s.aped glacial valleys.located in the Central Pyrenees.– the Aran and the Boí valleys. They are located in dif.erent as.ects.of.this.mountain range(north vs.s.uth) under dif.erent climatic inf.uences.that promoted dis.inct glaciation patterns.during the late Pleis.ocene. The s.atial mapping of.thes. landf.rms.was.carried out us.ng high-res.lution imagery and f.eld obs.rvations. We analys.d the data of.the morphometrical and topographical variables.of.the glacial cirques.by us.ng dif.erent s.atis.ical and geos.atial methods.in order tounveil the f.ctors.controlling their f.rmation and development. A total of.186 glacial cirques.were mapped in the s.udy area, including 119 in the Aran and 67 in the Boí valleys. The local topography and microclimate conditions.lead to s.bs.antial dif.erences.in both areas.in terms.of.the morphology and dimens.ons.of.the cirques. Glacial cirques.in Boí are dis.ributed at s.ightly higher elevations.than in Aran and they are als. larger, though their dimens.ons.decreas. with elevation in both valleys. Aran cirques.are mos.ly oriented NE, while Boí landf.rms.do not s.ow any prevailing as.ect. Even though lithology does.not control the dis.ribution of.the glacial cirques. s.me s.ecif.c lithological s.ttings.may f.vour the development of.larger cirques. In general, glacial cirques.in the Aran and the Boí valleys.s.ow morphometrical properties.s.milar to thos. reported in other mid-latitude mountain ranges.
