Seawater electrolysis is a promising approach for sustainable energy without relying on precious ***,the large-scale seawater electrolysis is hindered by low catalytic efficiency and severe anode corrosion caused by the harmful *** contrast to the oxygen evolution reaction （OER）and chlorin ion oxidation reaction （ClOR）,glycerol oxidation reaction （GOR） is more thermodynamically and kinetically favorable ***,a Ru doping cobalt phosphide （Ru-CoP2） is proposed as a robust bifunctional electrocatalyst for seawater electrolysis and GOR,for the concurrent productions of hydrogen and value-added *** in situ and ex situ characterization analyses demonstrated that Ru doping featured in the dynamic reconstruction process from Ru-CoP2to Ru-CoOOH,accounting for the superior GOR *** coupling GOR with hydrogen evolution was realized by employing Ru-CoP2as both anode and cathode,requiring only a low voltage of 1.43 V at 100 mA cm-2,which was 250 m V lower than that in alkaline *** work guides the design of bifunctional electrocatalysts for energy-efficient seawater electrolysis coupled with biomass resource upcycling.

Cr doped Ruddlesden-Popper compound Sr2 TiO4 has been successfully modified by fluorine to form a new compound Sr2 Ti(0.95) Cr(0.05) O3 F2. Structure analysis suggests two types of fluorine in the structure of this new compound, i.e. intralayer and interlayer F, which induce strong built-in electric field within this layered compound. The electric field stems from uneven distribution of F atoms on the two sides of perovskite layers therefore leads to charge disproportionation. DFT calculations suggest that this unique structural feature is highly beneficial for charge dissociations as it breaks the coplanar settlement of conduction band minimum and valence band maximum whilst maintains the 2 D charge transportation properties. This is clearly demonstrated by the superior photocatalytic activities of Sr2 Ti(0.95) Cr(0.05) O3 F2 for hydrogen production from water. Apparent quantum efficiency(AQE) as high as 1.16% at 420 ± 20 nm has been achieved which stands as the highest AQE reported on Sr2 TiO4 to date. Photoelectrochemical(PEC)analysis confirms improved charge separation conditions and prolonged charge lifetime.

Domain walls/boundaries in ferroic materials usuallyexhibit properties which do not exist in their bulks （e.g.,superconducting, piezoelectricity, etc.） [1,2]. Ferroelectricdomain walls with a size of several nanometers displayexotic conduction [3-5] among their insulating bulk. Dueto its electric-field controllable nature, ferroelectric/mul-tiferroic domain walls could be a promising candidate forhigh-density data storage or logic devices with ultralowenergy consumption.

Extant studies of cooperative advertising mainly consider a single-manufacturer-single-retailer channel structure. This can provide limited insights, because a manufacturer, in real practices, usually deals with multiple retailers simultaneously. In order to examine the impact of the retailer＇s multiplicity on channel members＇ decisions and on total channel efficiencies, this paper develops a multiple-retailer model. In this model, the manufacturer and the retailers play a Stackelberg game to make the optimal advertising decisions. Based on the quantitative results, it is observed that： 1） When there are multiple symmetric retailers, as the number of retailers scales up, the manufacturer＇s national advertising investment contributes increasingly to add to channel members＇ profits in equilibrium, but the total channel efficiency deteriorates quickly and converges down to a certain value; 2） When there are multiple asymmetric retailers, the distribution channel suffers from the manufacturer＇s uniform participation strategy due to the retailer＇s free-riding, and benefits with the manufacturer＇s retailer-specific participation strategy. This study derives equilibrium solutions in closed form for all games considered and measures explicitly the gains/losses of channel efficiencies under different game settings.

As a fundamental component of an automobile engine’s timing chain drive system, the hydraulic automatic tensioner signifcantly enhances fuel economy while minimizing system vibrations and noise. However, there is a noticeable lack of research on automatic hydraulic tensioners. This study presents a comprehensive calculation approach for the principal parameters of a hydraulic automatic tensioner. An efective method, grounded in hydraulics and multibody dynamics, was introduced for estimating the dynamic response of such a tensioner. The simulation model developed for the hydraulic tensioner is characterized by its rapid dynamic response, consistent operation, and high accuracy. The dynamic behavior of the tensioner was analyzed under varying boundary conditions, using sinusoidal signal excitation. It was observed that the maximum damping force increases with a decreasing leakage gap. Conversely, an increase in oil temperature or air content leads to a decrease in the maximum damping force. The reaction forces derived from these calculations align well with experimental results. This calculation and simulation approach ofers considerable value for the design of innovative hydraulic tensioners. It not only streamlines the design phase, minimizes the number of trials, and reduces product costs, but also provides robust insights for evaluating the performance of hydraulic tensioners.

The micropolar(MP) and strain gradient(SG) continua have been generally adopted to investigate the relations between the macroscopic elastic constants and the microstructural geometric parameters. Owing to the fact that the microrotation in the MP theory can be expressed in terms of the displacement gradient components, we may regard the MP theory as a particular incomplete SG theory called the MPSG theory,compared with the existing SG theories which are deemed complete since all the SGs are included. Taking the triangular lattice comprising zigzag beams as an example, it is found that as the angle of the zigzag beams increases, the bending of the beams plays a more important role in the total strain energy, and the difference between the results by the two theories gradually decreases. Finally, the models are verified with the pure bending and simple shear of lattices by comparing with the results obtained by the finite element method(FEM)-based structure analyses.

The problems of robust stability and stabilization via memoryless state feedback for a class of discrete-time switched singular systems with time-varying delays and linear fractional uncertainties are *** constructing a novel switched Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional,a delay-dependent criterion for the unforced system to be regular,causal and uniformly asymptotically stable is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities（LMIs）.An explicit expression for the desired memoryless state feedback stabilization controller is also *** merits of the proposed criteria lie in their less conservativeness and relative simplicity,which are achieved by considering additionally useful terms（ignored in previous methods） when estimating the upper bound of the forward difference of the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and by avoiding utilizing any model augmentation *** numerical examples are provided to illustrate the validity of the proposed methods.

The problem of admissibility analysis and control synthesis of discrete-time switched linear singular （SLS） systems for arbitrary switching laws is solved. By using the switched Lyapunov function approach, some new sufficient conditions under which the SLS system is admissible for arbitrary switching laws are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs）. Based on the admissibility results, control synthesis is then to design switched state feedback and static output feedback controllers, guaranteeing that the resulting closed-loop system is admissible. The presented results can be viewed as the extensions of previous works on switched Lyapunov function approach from the regular switched systems to singular switched cases. Examples are provided to demonstrate the reduced conservatism and effectiveness of the proposed conditions.

The globally exponential stability of nonlinear impul- sive networked control systems （NINCS） with time delay and packet dropouts is investigated. By applying Lyapunov function theory, sufficient conditions on the global exponential stability are derived by introducing a comparison system and estimating the corresponding Cauchy matrix. An impulsive controller is explicitly designed to achieve exponential stability and ensure state con- verge with a given decay rate for the system. The Lorenz oscillator system is presented as a numerical example to illustrate the theo- retical results and effectiveness of the proposed controller design procedure.
