The use of nanosized titanium dioxide（TiO2） and zinc oxide（ZnO） in the suspension form during treatment makes the recovering and recycling of photocatalysts ***,supported photocatalysts are preferred for practical water treatment *** study was conducted to investigate the efficiency of calcium alginate（CaAlg） beads that were immobilized with hybrid photocatalysts,TiO2/ZnO to form TiO2/*** immobilized beads,with three different mass ratios of TiO2：ZnO（1：1,1：2,and 2：1） were used to remove Cu（Ⅱ） in aqueous solutions in the presence of ultraviolet *** beads were subjected to three cycles of photocatalytic treatment with different initial Cu（Ⅱ） concentrations（10-80 ppm）.EDX spectra have confirmed the inclusion of Ti and Zn on the surface of the CaAlg ***,the surface morphology of the beads as determined using SEM,has indicated differences of before and after the photocatalytic treatment of Cu（Ⅱ）.Among all three,the equivalent mass ratio TiO2/ZnO-CaAlg beads have shown the best performance in removing Cu（Ⅱ） during all three recycling *** TiO2/ZnO-CaAlg beads have also shown consistent removal of Cu,ranging from 7.14-52.0 ppm（first cycle） for initial concentrations of10-80 *** comparison,bare CaAlg was only able to remove 6.9-48 ppm of similar initial Cu ***,the potential use of TiO2/ZnO-CaAlg beads as environmentally friendly composite material can be further extended for heavy metal removal from contaminated water.

Research on mammals in the Guianas of northern South America has had a checkered *** this review,I summarize the notable contributions to mammalogical study in Guyana,Suriname and French *** studies began in the mid-18th century with the binomial nomenclature system of scientific classification created by the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus,who described 23 species new to science based on holotype specimens from the *** popular accounts by amateur naturalists visiting this region,over the next 7 decades there was only sporadic taxonomic work done on Guianan mammals primarily by researchers at European *** first comprehensive biological exploration took place in the 1840s during a geographic survey of the boundaries of British ***,it was not until almost half a century later that scientific publications began to regularly document the increasing species diversity in the region,including the prodigious work of Oldfield Thomas at the British Museum of Natural History in *** lull in the study of mammals occurred in the mid-1910s to the early 1960s after which foreign researchers began to rediscover the Guianas and their pristine *** biological renaissance is still ongoing and I give a prospectus on the direction of future research in one of the last frontiers of tropical *** initiative that would be greatly beneficial is the establishment of a university network in the Guianas with graduate-based research to develop a cadre of professional experts on biodiversity and evolution as seen in other countries of South America.

Monodisperse particles are useful across a wide range of industrial applications,such as LCD displays,solar cells and rechargeable batteries,due to their uniformly small ***,generating high volumes of monodisperse particles remains *** this study,it was aimed to generate mono-disperse aerosols by classifying micrometer-scale solid aerosol particles within a narrow size ***,a new particle-size classification device with two virtual impactors connected in series and clean air cores was *** first-stage virtual impactor had a slightly larger cutoff size than the second-stage,and the major flow discharged from the first-stage was directed to the *** target particle size range was altered by changing the nozzle sizes in the first and second stages or by adjusting the flow ***,the classification performance of the two-stage virtual impactor was simulated and validated through an experiment using Arizona test *** implemented combi-nations of cutoff sizes for the first and second stages were 3.0 and 2.0μm,3.9 and 2.7μm,or 6.7 and 4.8μ*** a result,monodisperse aerosol particles were classified at a geometric standard deviation of 1.04-1.14 and a particle size range of 2-6.7μ*** two-stage virtual impactor developed herein may be useful for various research and performance evaluations,as it can classify micrometer-scale solid particle aerosols that exhibit high monodispersity.

This review compares the different types of membrane processes for air *** main categories of membrane-based dehumidification are identified–membrane contactors using porous membranes with concentrated liquid desiccants,separative membranes using dense membrane morphology with a pressure gradient to drive the separation of moisture from air,and adsorptive membranes using nanofibrous membranes which adsorb and capture moisture to realise *** upon the importance of dehumidification and humidity control for urban sustainability and energy efficacy,this review critically analyses and recognizes the three unique categories of membrane-based air dehumidification ***,the discussion is broken into three sections-one for each category-discriminating in terms of the driving force,membrane structure and properties,and its performance *** will notice that despite having the same objective to dehumidify air,the polymers used amongst each category differs to suit the operating requirements and optimize dehumidification *** the end of each section,a performance table or summary of dehumidifying membranes in its class is *** final section concludes with a comparative review of the three categories on membrane-based air dehumidification technologies and draw inspiration from parallel research to rationalise the potential and innovative use of promising materials in membrane fabrication for air dehumidification.

A granular cell tumor (GCT) is a benign neoplasm of unclear histogenesis that is generally believed to be of nerve sheath *** is not common and most often affects the tongue,skin and soft tissue,although it may occur anywhere in the *** experienced a case of GCT that arose in the cecum of a 55-yearold *** GCT was removed by laparoscopic *** addition to the tumor,endoscopic examination revealed the presence of a 5-mm-polyp in the descending colon and multiple tiny polyps in the sigmoid colon and *** examination demonstrated a cecal tumor 1.5 cm × 1.0 cm × 0.7 cm with a hard consistency;in cut sections,mixed cells with yellowish and whitish portions were *** tumor was located between the mucosa and subserosa,and was composed of plump histiocyte-like tumor cells with abundant granular eosinophilic cytoplasm,which were immunoreactive for S-100 protein,vimentin,neuron-specific enolase,inhibin-α and *** tumor showed extensive hyalinization and focal dystrophic *** profiles did not confirm any particular cell type for the histogenetic origin of the GCT,including a nerve sheath *** hyalinization and calcifi cation showing involution of tumor cells suggest benign clinical behavior of GCT.

Existing web-based security applications have failed in many situations due to the great intelligence of *** web applications,Cross-Site Scripting(XSS)is one of the dangerous assaults experienced while modifying an organization's or user's *** avoid these security challenges,this article proposes a novel,all-encompassing combination of machine learning(NB,SVM,k-NN)and deep learning(RNN,CNN,LSTM)frameworks for detecting and defending against XSS attacks with high accuracy and *** on the representation,a novel idea for merging stacking ensemble with web applications,termed“hybrid stacking”,is *** order to implement the aforementioned methods,four distinct datasets,each of which contains both safe and unsafe content,are *** hybrid detection method can adaptively identify the attacks from the URL,and the defense mechanism inherits the advantages of URL encoding with dictionary-based mapping to improve prediction accuracy,accelerate the training process,and effectively remove the unsafe JScript/JavaScript keywords from the *** simulation results show that the proposed hybrid model is more efficient than the existing detection *** produces more than 99.5%accurate XSS attack classification results(accuracy,precision,recall,f1_score,and Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC))and is highly resistant to XSS *** order to ensure the security of the server's information,the proposed hybrid approach is demonstrated in a real-time environment.

Measurement of transient thickness between the body and graze layers of ancient porcelains using microprobe EDXRF technique

The oxide contents of TiO2, MnO, SrO and Fe2O3 in the body and graze layers of the Jiao-Tan-Xia (JTX) and Lao-Hu-Dong (LHD) porcelains in Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 A.D.) have been determined using an In- ternational Eagle-II μ-probe EDXRF spectrometer. The results show that the contents in the body are much different from those in the graze one. Therefore, the transient thickness (TT) between the body and graze layers can be meas- ured through determination of a distance of the drift change in the chemical contents. The TT average for the JTX porcelains is 161μm, while that for the LHD porcelains is 258μm, which are consistent with a range of 0.15-0.3mm in the Ru-Yao porcelains. The different TT is related to the variances in firing temperature and raw material for manu- facturing the respective porcelains.

The nonlinear free transverse vibrations of a nano-beam on simple supports are investigated based on nonlocal elasticity theory. The governing equation is proposed by considering geometric nonlinearity due to finite stretching of the beam. The method of multiple scales is applied to the governing equa- tion to evaluate the nonlinear natural frequencies. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the analytical results and highlight the contributions of the nonlinear term and nonlocal effect.
