Senile plaque blue autofluorescence was discovered around 40 years ago,however,its impact on Alzheimer’s disease(AD)pathology has not been fully *** analyzed senile plaques with immunohistochemistry and fluorescence imaging on AD brain sections and also Aβ aggregation in *** DAPI or Hoechst staining,the nuclear blue fluorescence could only be correctly assigned after subtracting the blue plaque *** flower-like structures wrapping dense-core blue fluorescence formed by cathepsin D staining could not be considered central-nucleated neurons with defective lysosomes since there was no nuclear staining in the plaque core when the blue autofluorescence was *** Aβ self-oligomers and Aβ/hemoglobin heterocomplexes generated blue *** Aβ amyloid blue autofluorescence not only labels senile plaques but also illustrates red cell aggregation,hemolysis,cerebral amyloid angiopathy,vascular plaques,vascular adhesions,and *** summary,we conclude that Aβ-aggregation-generated blue autofluorescence is an excellent multi-amyloidosis marker in Alzheimer’s disease.

Brain regulates weight bearing bone through PGE2 skeletal interoception: implication of ankle osteoarthritis and pain

Bone is a mechanosensitive tissue and undergoes constant remodeling to adapt to the mechanical loading ***,it is unclear whether the signals of bone cells in response to mechanical stress are processed and interpreted in the *** this study,we found that the hypothalamus of the brain regulates bone remodeling and structure by perceiving bone prostaglandin E2(PGE2)concentration in response to mechanical *** PGE2 levels are in proportion to their weight *** weight bearing changes in the tail-suspension mice,the PGE2 concentrations in bones change in line with their weight bearing *** of cyclooxygenase-2(COX2)in the osteoblast lineage cells or knockout of receptor 4(EP4)in sensory nerve blunts bone formation in response to mechanical ***,knockout of TrkA in sensory nerve also significantly reduces mechanical load-induced bone ***,mechanical loading induces cAMP-response element binding protein(CREB)phosphorylation in the hypothalamic arcuate nucleus(ARC)to inhibit sympathetic tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)expression in the paraventricular nucleus(PVN)for ***,we show that elevated PGE2 is associated with ankle osteoarthritis(AOA)and ***,our data demonstrate that in response to mechanical loading,skeletal interoception occurs in the form of hypothalamic processing of PGE2-driven peripheral signaling to maintain physiologic bone homeostasis,while chronically elevated PGE2 can be sensed as pain during AOA and implication of potential treatment.

Recommendations on legislative and regulatory framework and regulatory body of nuclear security in China

This paper describes the definition of nuclear security that has been changing from the cold war age to the post-911 period, and clarifies the close relationship and yet a clear distinction between nuclear security, nuclear safety and nuclear safeguard. Based on analyses of the current state of nuclear security activities in China as well as the requirements and the law infrastructure, a legislative and regulatory framework of nuclear security and the mandate of a regulatory body in China are recommended.

水声通信中传统宽带多普勒估计方法难以准确跟踪时变多普勒因子,从而导致正交频分复用(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing,OFDM)在变速运动通信场景中补偿性能不佳。针对该问题,文章提出了一种基于空载波的多普勒估计与跟踪算法。首先对三频信号做线性调频Z变换(Chirp-Z Transform,CZT)得到多普勒先验值,然后利用OFDM符号中的空载波结合载波频偏(Carrier Frequency Offset,CFO)搜索补偿技术,把估计的最优CFO值转换为宽带多普勒因子,进而计算当前符号的加速度并预测下一符号的速度。通过更新加速度对预测值进行修正,实现每个OFDM符号的多普勒估计。数值仿真和湖试结果表明,文中算法不仅能有效跟踪多普勒的变化,在匀速和变速条件下都有较好的补偿性能,而且对帧结构设计要求低,对先验误差不敏感,有利于水声通信系统的工程实现。

Effect of silicon precursor on silicon incorporation in SAPO-11 and their catalytic performance for hydroisomerization of n-octane on Pt-based catalysts

SAPO-11 molecular sieves were synthesized using silica sol, hydrophilic fumed silica, and tetraethyl orthosilicate（TEOS） as silicon precursors. Their physicochemical properties were characterized using XRD,SEM, nitrogen adsorption-desorption, Py-IR, NH;-TPD, EDS, and;Al,;P,;Si MAS NMR techniques. The catalytic performance was assessed in the hydroisomerization of n-octane. The results showed that the silicon precursors influenced the physicochemical properties and catalytic performance of SAPO-11. SAPO-11 synthesized using hydrophilic fumed silica as silicon precursor showed higher silicon distribution and had more medium acid sites. SAPO-11 synthesized using TEOS as silicon precursor had more silicon content, but more silicon islands formed in its framework. The depolymerization of silicon precursors might affect the silicon content and distribution in SAPO-11. In the hydroisomerization of n-octane, the catalytic activity strongly depended on the number of medium acid sites instead of the number of total acid ***-11 synthesized using hydrophilic fumed silica as silicon precursor exhibited higher catalytic activity than the other samples because it has more medium acid sites.

Landform Planation Index Extracted from DEMs： A Case Study in Ordos Platform of China

Planation surface, a surface that is almost flat, is a kind of low-relief landforms. Planation surface is the consequence of the denudation and planation processes under a tectonic stable condition. The quantitative expression of the characteristics of planation surface plays a key role in reconstructing and describing the evolutionary process of landforms. In this study, Landform Planation Index(LPI), a new terrain derivative, was proposed to quantify the characteristics of planation surface. The LPIs were calculated based on the summit surfaces formed according to the clustering results of peaks. Ten typical areas in the Ordos Platform located in the central part of the Loess Plateau of China are chosen as the test areas for investigating their planation characteristics with the LPI. The experimental results indicate that the LPI can be effectively used to quantify the characteristics of planation surfaces. In addition, the LPI can be further used to depict the patterns of spatial differentiation in the Ordos Platform. Although the present Ordos Platform area is full of the high-density gullies, its planation characteristics is found to be well preserved. Furthermore, the characteristics of the planation surfaces can also reflect the original morphology of the Ordos Platform before the loess dusts deposition process evolved in this area. The statistical results of the LPI show that there is a gradually increasing tendency along with the increasing of slope gradient of summit surface. It indicates that the characteristics of planation surfaces vary among test areas with different landforms. These findings help to deepen the understanding of planation characteristics of the loess landform and its underlying paleotopography. Results of this study can be also served as an important theoretical reference value for revealing the evolutionary process of loess landform.
