Combustion and Self-Desulfurization Characterization of Blended Low-Rank Coals for Improved Resource Utilization in Fluidized Bed Boilers

The co-combustion of low-rank coals through fluidized bed boiler(CFB)is an effective approach to enhance the level of resource *** date,there has been a lack of investigation concerning the co-combustion kinetics and self-desulfurization characteristics of coal slime,coal gangue,and raw *** this study,we adopted multiple model-free and model-fitting methods to comparatively analyze co-combustion kinetics of blended coals on the basis of thermogravimetric ***,the sulfur balance and self-desulfurization of blended coals in the co-combustion were intensively investigated using a tube furnace *** results reveal that in the presence of coal gangue in blended coals,the average activation energy(E_(a))falls within the range of 65.7 kJ/mol to 100.4 kJ/mol,as determined by four model-free ***,in the absence of coal gangue,only the Flynn-Wall-Ozawa(FWO)and Friedman(FM)methods are deemed appropriate for calculating the average E_(a),yielding a value of 77.3 kJ/*** first order reaction model is confirmed to be reliable for analyzing the co-combustion kinetics of low-rank blended *** of the specific composition of the blended coal,a significant linear correlation exists between the Ea and the natural logarithm of the pre-exponential factor(lnA)within an extensive range of ***,the addition of coal gangue to the blended coal substantially enhances the self-desulfurization level,resulting in an increase from 25.7%to60.7%at 1073 *** self-desulfurization efficiency exhibits a good linear relationship with both the mass ratio of coal gangue to coal slime and the molar ratio of calcium to *** a practical implementation,the optimal addition ratio of coal gangue is a trade-off between the self-desulfurization efficiency and the ignition capacity.

The expeditious acquisition of information pertaining to objects through the utilization of quantum technology has been a perennial issue of *** far,the efficient utilization of information from dynamic objects with limited resources remains a significant ***,we realize a nonlocal integrated sensing of the object's amplitude and phase information by combining digital spiral imaging with the correlated orbital angular momentum *** amplitude information is utilized for object identification,while the phase information enables us to determine the rotational *** demonstrate the nonlocal identification of a rotating object's shape,irrespective of its rotational symmetry,and introduce the concept of the correlated rotational Doppler effect,establishing a fundamental connection between this effect and the classical rotational Doppler effect,i.e.,that both rely on extracting crucial information from the spiral spectrum of *** present study highlights a promising pathway towards the realization of quantum remote sensing and imaging.

ABHD17C represses apoptosis and pyroptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma cells

Background:Alpha/beta hydrolase domain-containing protein 17C(ABHD17C)is a depalmitoylation enzyme that removes the S-palmitoylation of targeted *** hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)cells SNU449 and Hep3B use ABHD17C as an oncogene;however,the exact mechanism of this action is yet ***:The expression of ABHD17C in liver cancer tissues was analyzed by bioinformatics,and the expression of ABHD17C in clinical liver cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues was ***,the proliferative viability of HCC cells after overexpression or knockdown of ABHD17C was examined,and pyroptosis and apoptosis proteins were ***:ABHD17C was overexpressed in human HCC tissues as well as numerous HCC cell *** of ABHD17C caused reduced viability,cell cycle arrest,and defective invasion and migration in HCC cells,while overexpression of ABHD17C exhibited the opposite ***,we discovered that the knockdown of ABHD17C resulted in enhanced apoptotic and pyroptotic phenotypes of HCC cells,whereas overexpression of ABHD17C attenuated such ***:It suggests that ABHD17C contributes to HCC carcinogenesis,making it a promising target for medication treatment.

Electrochemical energy storage and conversion techniques that exhibit the merits such as high energy density,rapid response kinetics,economical maintenance requirements and expedient installation procedures will hold a pivotal role in the forthcoming energy storage technologies *** recent years,aqueous zinc-ion batteries（AZIBs） have garnered substantial attention as a compelling candidate for large-scale energy storage systems,primarily attributable to their advantageous featu res encompassing cost-effectiveness,environmental sustainability,and robust safety ***,one of the primary factors hindering the further development of AZIBs originates from the challenge of cathode ***,the three mainstream types of mainstream cathode materials,in terms of manganese-based compounds,vanadium-based compounds and Prussian blue analogues,surfer from the dissolution of Mn2+,in the low discharge voltage,and the low specific capacity,*** strategies have been developed to compensation the above intrinsic defects for these cathode materials,including the ionic doping,defect engineering,and materials ***,this review first provides a systematic summarization of the zinc storage mechanism in AZIBs,following by the inherent merit and demerit of three kind of cathode materials during zinc storage analyzed from their structure characteristic,and then the recent development of critical strategies towards the intrinsic insufficiency of these cathode *** this review,the methodologies aimed at enhancing the efficacy of manganese-based and vanadium-based compounds are emphasis ***,the article outlines the future prospective directions as well as strategic proposal for cathode materials in AZIBs.

Under optimal process conditions,pyrolysis of polyolefins can yield ca.90 wt%of liquid product,i.e.,combination of light oil fraction and heavier *** this work,the experimental findings reported in a selected group of publications concerning the non-catalytic pyrolysis of polyolefins were collected,reviewed,and compared with the ones obtained in a continuously operated bench-scale pyrolysis *** process parameters were used for the pyrolysis of waste and virgin counterparts of high-density polyethylene,low-density polyethylene,polypropylene and a defined mixture of those(i.e.,25:25:50 wt%,respectively).To mitigate temperature drops and enhance heat transfer,an increased feed intake is employed to create a hot melt plastic *** 1.5 g·min^(-1) feed intake,1.1 L·min^(-1) nitrogen flow rate,and a moderate pyrolysis temperature of 450℃,the formation of light hydrocarbons was favored,while wax formation was limited for polypropylene-rich *** of virgin plastics yielded more liquid(maximum 73.3 wt%)than that of waste plastics(maximum 66 wt%).Blending polyethylenes with polypropylene favored the production of liquids and increased the formation of gasoline-range *** products were mainly composed of C3 hydrocarbons,and no hydrogen production was detected due to moderate pyrolysis temperature.

Collaborative multi-lane on-ramp merging strategy for connected and automated vehicles using dynamic conflict graph

The on-ramp merging in multi-lane highway scenarios presents challenges due to the complexity of coordinating vehicles’merging and lane-changing behaviors,while ensuring safety and optimizing traffic ***,there are few studies that have addressed the merging problem of ramp vehicles and the cooperative lane-change problem of mainline vehicles within a unified framework and proposed corresponding optimization *** tackle this issue,this study adopts a cyber-physical integration perspective and proposes a graph-based solution ***,the information of vehicle groups in the physical plane is mapped to the cyber plane,and a dynamic conflict graph is introduced in the cyber space to describe the conflict relationships among vehicle ***,graph decomposition and search strategies are employed to obtain the optimal solution,including the set of mainline vehicles changing lanes,passing sequences for each route,and corresponding ***,the proposed dynamic conflict graph-based algorithm is validated through simulations in continuous traffic with various densities,and its performance is compared with the default algorithm in *** results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in improving vehicle safety and traffic efficiency,particularly in high traffic density scenarios,providing valuable insights for future research in multi-lane merging strategies.

Sludge composition and characteristics shaped microbial community and further determined process performance: A study on full-scale thermal hydrolysis-anaerobic digestion processes

Anaerobic digestion (AD) with thermal hydrolysis (TH) pretreatment is a promising process for excess sludge treatment,while there lacks of the knowledge from full-scale process about the impact of sludge composition and characteristics on microbial community and *** sludge physiochemical indices,microbial community and performance data of four full-scale TH-AD plants were characterized,and their relationships was *** four plants were operated under almost similar total organic loading rate (OLR)but their methanogenesis performance differentiate into two groups,namely superior group(SupG) and the inferior group (Inf G).In both groups,TH effectively solubilized particulate organic compounds,meanwhile raised the ammonia nitrogen (NH_(4)^(+)-N) and volatile fatty acid (VFA) *** with the Sup G,thermal hydrolyzed sludge of Inf G had higher level of VFAs,NH_(4)^(+)-N and total chemical oxygen demand (t COD),which showed higher inhibition effect on microbes,leading to a community with lower diversity,lower abundance of carbohydrate degrading functional guild,higher protein degrading one,and methanogens that adapted to limited substrates,and further declined the methane production ***,it was recommended that OLR alone was not sufficient for controlling the system in design and operation,the concentration of VFAs,NH_(4)^(+)-N and t COD should be equally *** higher concentration,together with the higher abundance of Defluviitoga and Proteiniphilum were recommended as indicators for inferior running *** results proposed that microbial communities played a role of bridge between environmental factors and performance,provided implications for engineering ecology and operational regulation for full-scale sludge TH-AD process.

Investigation of rarely studied gravel layers found in the loess in Shandong Province,eastern China,reveals the fabric characteristics of two gravel layers(G1,G2)and the sedimentary characteristics of loess at the typical and well-preserved Heiyu section(HY),where,to determine the paleoclimatic changes during Marine Isotope Stage *** stimulated luminescence dates of the HY formation range from 0.26±0.02 ka to 39.00±2.00 *** addition,the ages of G1 and G2 were estimated using the Bayesian model to be 39.60-40.50 and 29.00-29.50 ka.G1 and G2 are mainly composed of fine and medium gravel,both of which were subangular to subrounded limestone,with gravel directions to NE and *** average flow velocity,average depth,and flood peak flow of G1 are 1.10 m/s,0.49 m,and 37.04 m^(3)/s,respectively,calculated using the flow energy method,whereas those of G2 are 0.98 m/s,0.38 m,and 18.38 m^(3)/s,*** of climate proxy indices show that the sedimentary environment of the gravel and loess in HY might be a regional response to global change.

High-order Autler–Townes splitting in electrically tunable photonic molecules

Whispering gallery mode optical microresonators represent a promising avenue for realizing optical analogs of coherent light–atom interactions,circumventing experimental ***-optical analogs of Autler–Townes splitting have been widely demonstrated,harnessing coupled optical microresonators,also known as photonic molecules,wherein the strong coupling between resonant fields enables energy level ***,we report the characterizations of Autler–Townes splitting in waveguide-coupled microring dimers featuring mismatched *** exploiting backscattering-induced coupling via Rayleigh and Mie scatterers in individual rings,high-order Autler–Townes splitting has been realized,yielding supermode hybridization in a multi-level *** resonance detuning using an integrated phase shifter,intra-cavity coupling-induced splitting becomes almost indistinguishable at the zero-detuning point where the strong inter-cavity coupling counteracts the imbalance of backscattering strengths in individual *** demonstrations on the maturing silicon photonics platform,our findings establish a framework of electrically tunable photonic molecules for coupling-mediated Autler–Townes splitting,offering promising prospects for on-chip signal generation and processing across classical and quantum regimes.
