For a 2-station and 3-class reentrant line under first-buffer first-served(FBFS)service discipline in light traffic,we firstly construct the strong approximations for performance measures including the queue length,workload,busy time and idle time *** on the obtained strong approximations,we use a strong approximation method to find all the law of the iterated logarithms(LILs)for the above four performance measures,which are expressed as some functions of system parameters:means and variances of interarrival and service times,and characterize the fluctuations around their fluid approximations.

The primate brain and artificial intelligence(AI) can both be conceptualized as information processing systems, each with its own distinct biological and computational architectures. While there are parallels between them, their respective structural and functional connections show significant differences. In this paper, we examine the central role of feedback processing in both the primate brain and AI systems, which has been shown to be crucial in shaping neural processing. By reviewing the key features of feedback processes in the primate brain, which allows the brain to incorporate prior knowledge, contextual information, and taskdemands into early-stage processing, we highlight the divergence in goals and functions between biological and AI *** these differences is crucial for elucidating the cognitive capabilities of the primate brain and for addressing computational challenges in AI. In advocating “Cognition-Inspired-Computation”, we suggest that integrating insights from feedback processing in the primate brain into AI research will offer potentially significant improvements for the advancement of AI systems.

The law of the iterated logarithm(LIL)for the performance measures of a two-station queueing network with arrivals modulated by independent queues is developed by a strong approximation *** convenience,two arrival processes modulated by queues comprise the external system,all others are belong to the internal *** is well known that the exogenous arrival has a great influence on the asymptotic variability of performance measures in *** the considered queueing network in heavy traffic,we get all the LILs for the queue length,workload,busy time,idle time and departure processes,and present them by some simple functions of the primitive *** LILs tell us some interesting insights,such as,the LILs of busy and idle times are zero and they reflect a small variability around their fluid approximations,the LIL of departure has nothing to do with the arrival process,both of the two phenomena well explain the service station’s situation of being busy all the *** external system shows us a distinguishing effect on the performance measures:an underloaded(overloaded,critically loaded)external system affects the internal system through its arrival(departure,arrival and departure together).In addition,we also get the strong approximation of the network as an auxiliary result.

A new Ni+Zr co-alloyed FeCrAl-ODS(oxide-dispersion-strengthened)ferritic alloy was fabricated by ball-milling and *** electron microscopy and atom probe tomography,the dispersive formation of high density core-shelled nano-particles of various sizes was confirmed with a common B2-NiAl *** which,median-sized nano-particles(20-50 nm)typically have an Y_(4)Al_(2)O_(9)nano-core of<~20 nm,ultra-fine nano-particles(<~20)nm have an Y_(4)Zr_(3)O_(12)nano-core of<~10 nm,and larger-sized nano-particles(50-100 nm)incorporate an ultra-fine Y_(4)Al_(2)O_(9)nano-core and a few ultra-fine Y_(4)Zr_(3)O_(12)*** these nano-phases were highly coherent with the ferritic *** large Y--Al-O nano-oxides were *** total number density of ultra-fine nano-particles was estimated as~2×10^(23)m^(-3)with a mean size of 6.3 nm only,and accordingly,the new alloy achieved an excellent combination of strength and ductility at high temperatures.

Urea plays a vital role in the sustainable development of mankind as it is one of the most important nitrogen *** synthesis of urea is accompanied by a high level of energy consumption while electrocatalytic methods suffer from low yields and poor *** work achieves efficient synthesis of urea by designing the graphene-In_(2)O_(3)electrocatalysts for the co-activated reduction of nitrate and carbon dioxide,where the formation rate of urea,Faraday efficiency(FE)and carbon selectivity at-0.35 V *** can reach 357.47μg mg^(-1)h^(-1),10.46%and~100%,***,the key intermediates in the C–N coupling reaction are demonstrated to be*NH_(2)and*CO_(2),which is of novelty compared to previous *** work may provide inspiration for subsequent studies on the reaction mechanism of the electrochemical synthesis of urea,as well as theoretical guidance for the sustainable synthesis of some other important chemical substances.

Carbon nanofibers(CNFs)with high specific surface area show great potential for sodium storage as a hard carbon ***,CNFs anchored with Ni nanoparticles(CNFs/Ni)were prepared through chemical vapor deposition and impregnation reduction methods,in situ growing on the three-dimensional porous copper current collector(3DP-Cu).The coupling effect of high-spin state Ni nanopar-ticles leads to the increase of defect density and the expansion of lattice spacing of ***,the 3DP-Cu ensures a high loading capacity of CNFs and short ion/electron transport *** an integral binder-free anode,the 3DP-Cu/CNFs/Ni exhibits excellent electrochemical performance,which demon-strates a high specific capacity with 298.5 mAh g^(-1)at 1000 mA g^(-1)after 1500 cycles,and a high power density with 200 mAh g^(-1)over 1000 cycles at 5000 mA g^(-1).Density functional theory calculation re-sults show that the high-spin state Ni regulates the electronic structure of CNFs,which significantly reduces the adsorption energy for Na^(+)(-2.7 Ev)and thus enables high-rate *** regulation of the electronic structure of carbon materials by high-spin state metal provides a new strategy for developing high-power carbonaceous anode materials for sodium-ion batteries.

Three-dimentional(3D)transition metal selenides with sufficient channels could produce significant superiority on enhancing reaction kinetics for sodium-ion ***,the thorough exploration of 3D architecture with a facile strategy is still *** we report that a polycrystalline Cu_(2-x)Se film was epitaxial grown on(220)facets-exposed Cu by direct selenization of a nanoporous Cu skeleton,which is obtained by dealloying rolled Cu Mn@Cu alloy *** functional theory calculation result shows strong adsorption energy for Se atoms on Cu(220)planes during selenization reaction,rendering a low energy *** virtue of this core-shell 3D nanoporous architecture to offer abundant active sites and endow fast electron/ion transportation,the nanoporous Cu_(2-x)Se@Cu-0.15 composite electrode exhibits remarkable sodium-ion storage properties with high reversible capacity of 950.6μAh/cm^(2)at 50μA/cm^(2),suprior rate capability of 457.6μAh/cm^(2)at 500μA/cm^(2),as well as an ultra-long stability at a high current *** investigation reveals that the electrochemical reaction is a typical conversion-type reaction with different *** novel electrode synthetic strategy provides useful instructions to design the high-performance anode material for sodium-ion batteries.
