The reaction of 3,6-di-(3-methyl-pyridin-2.yI)-s-tetrazine (DMpTZ, II) with CeIII salt [Ce(NO3)3 · 6H2.] generates a new ligand, N-(3-methyl-pyridin-2.yl)-formimidoyl-(3-methyl-pyridin-2.yl) hydrazone (L), and forms a new complex: a mononuclear complex [Ce(L)(NO3)2.(H2.)3] · NO3 (III). Crystal data for III: space group p-1. with a = 0.71.3(4) nm, b = 1.1.39(2. nm, c = 1.4572.3) nm, α= 1.2.1.(2.°, β= 99.81.3)°, γ= 91.1.(3)°, Z = 2. V = 1.1..6(7) nm3, μ = 2.1.3 mm?1.and F(000) = 630. L acts as a tri-dentate chelating ligand in III. There are 1. coordination sites around Ce3+ of III, which are respectively occupied by seven oxygen atoms (four from two nitrate anions and three from three H2. molecules) and three nitrogen atoms (all from L). The cerium atom and three chelating nitrogen atoms are coplanar. The mechanism of the metal assisted decomposition is discussed briefly.

Solid erosion of as cast and treated 1..5%(volume fraction) Al 1. B 4O 33 whisker/AC4C Al composites was investigated at room temperature under steady state conditions. The results indicated that the interfacial reaction between the whisker and matrix alloy have an effect on the erosion ch{2.acteristics of the composites. The erosion resistance of the composites with a strongly bonded whisker matrix interface and the higher whisker strength resulted from suitable reaction treatment can be improved at high impact angles and is the same as the as cast composites at low angle. For the composites after excessive reaction treatment, the weak and brittle interface fractures easily at small strains, and the whiskers with relative low strength and low h{2.dness at the specimen surface can not effectively resist the microcutting or microploughing action, thus the composites exhibit reduced erosion resistance.

In this study,a series of CuCl_(2.-modified MnO_(x)-CeO_(x)nanorods were synthesized for the oxidation of Hg^(0).The addition of CuCl_(2.resulted in an enhancement in the catalyst’s Hg^(0)oxidation ability,and Hg^(0)oxidation efficiency reached>97%from 1.0 to 2.0°*** the MnO_(x)-CeO_(x)catalysts,Mn^(4+)played the role of the active species for Hg^(0)oxidization,but in the CuCl_(2.-doped catalysts Cl−also contributed to Hg^(0)oxidation,conferring the superior performance of these *** introduction of SO_(2. led to a decrease in the availability of Mn^(4+),and the Hg^(0)oxidation efficiency of MnO_(x)-CeO_(x)decreased from about 1.0%to about 78%.By contrast,CuCl_(2.-promoted samples maintained a Hg^(0)oxidation efficiency of about 1.0%during the SO_(2. deactivation cycle due to the high reactivity of Cl−.

In this study, characteristics of flow field and wave propagation near submerged breakwater on a sloping bed are investigated with numerical model. The governing equations of the vertical two-dimensional model are Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes equations. The Reynolds stress terms are closed by a nonlinear k - ε turbulence transportation model. The free surface is traced through the pILC-VOF method. The proposed numerical model is verified with experimental results. The numerical result shows that the wave profile may become more asymmetrical when wave propagates over breakwater. When wave crest propagates over breakwater, the anticlockwise vortex may generate. On the contrary, when wave hollow propagates over breakwater, the clockwise vortex may generate. Meanwhile, the influenced zone of vortex created by wave crest is larger than that created by wave hollow. All the maximum values of the turbulent kinetic energy, turbulent dissipation and eddy viscosity occur on the top of breakwater. Both the turbulent dissipation and eddy viscosity increase as the turbulent kinetic energy increases. Wave energy may rapidly decrease near the breakwater because turbulent dissipation increases and energy in lower harmonics is transferred into higher harmonics.

The development of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) technology has made it possible to carry out functional brain imaging experiments in small animals. Usually, group data is required to form the assessment of population, which can not only increase the sensitivity of the overall experiment, but also allow the generalization of the conclusion to the whole population. In order to average the signals of functional brain images from different subjects, it is necessary to put all the mapping images into the same standard space (template image). However, up to now, most animal brain templates remain unavailable and it must be done by ourselves. In this study, a template image based on the brains of eight male Wistar rats is obtained, and it is successfully used in our present Alzheimer disease (AD)-like rat model studies as template for spatially normalizing images to the same stereotaxical space. The fMRI results processed with statistical parametric mapping (SpM99) software are in agreement with the results from immunohistochemical experiment, which proves that this method is universally applicable to the pathologic models of other small animals and to {1.man brain lesion studies.

RNA modifications have been involved in numerous biological processes, and aberrations of these modifications are tightly associated with various diseases including cancer. Herein, we developed graphenebased solid-phase extraction and robust ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UpLC-MS/MS) combined with stable isotope-dilution for simultaneous enrichment and accurate determination of {2. modified nucleosides in human urine. We found graphene could effectively adsorb various modified nucleosides in human urine samples. With this method, we identified and quantified these modified nucleosides in urine samples collected from lung cancer patients and healthy *** revealed that the levels of {2. modified nucleosides were all diminished in urine from lung cancer patients, compared with healthy controls. It is worth noting that we demonstrated, for the first time, the presence of 5,2.O-dimethyluridine(m~5U_m) in human urine. Together, we established a robust analytical method for simultaneous determinations of {2. modified nucleosides in human urine, and our results revealed a close correlation between the concentrations of urinary modified nucleosides and the occurrence of lung cancer, implying the potential applications of these modified nucleosides as noninvasive biomarkers for the early detection of lung cancer. Moreover, this study will stimulate future investigations on the regulatory roles of RNA modifications in the initiation and progression of lung cancer.
