Comparative voltammetry and differential double-layer capacitance studies were performed to evaluate interfacial interactions between cnalcopyrite（CuFeS2） and n-isopropyl xanthate（X） in the presence of ammonium bisulfite/39wt%SO2 and caustic starch at different pH *** spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared（FTIR） spectroscopy,contact angle measurements,and microflotation tests were used to establish the type and extent of xanthate adsorption as well as the species involved under different mineral surface conditions in this *** results demonstrate that the species that favor a greater hydrophobicity of chalcopyrite are primarily CuX and S^0,whereas oxides and hydroxides of Cu and Fe as well as an excess of starch decrease the hydrophobicity.A conditioning of the mineral surface with ammonium bisulfite/39wt%SO2 at pH 6 promotes the activation of surface and enhances the xanthate ***,this effect is diminished at pH ≥ 8,when an excess of starch is added during the preconditioning step.

γ＋jet events provide a tomographic measurement of the medium formed in heavy ion collisions at LHC *** events with a well identified high p T direct photon and measuring the correlation distribution of hadrons emitted oppositely to the photon in ALICE,allows us to determine,with a good approximation,both the jet fragmentation function and the back-to-back azimuthal alignment of the direct photon and the *** these two observables measured in pp collisions with the ones measured in AA collisions will reveal the modifications of the jet structure induced by the medium formed in AA collisions and consequently will infer the medium properties.

Background: Forest residues can be a feasible alternative for converting energy into fuels, electricity, or *** to other second-generation bioenergy sources, they do not compete for food, are relatively cheap,abundant in forest-rich areas, and more importantly their energy balance is close to zero. Biomass estimations can help design energy strategies to reduce fossil fuels dependency. Because of the land property distribution in Mexico,biomass estimations should consider not only the physical availability, but also the willingness of landowners to extract such raw ***: This study presents a methodological approach for evaluating the potential use of forest residues as a feedstock to generate bioenergy in northern Mexico. Remote sensing and field forest inventory were used to estimate the quantity and distribution of forest residues. In addition, a discrete choice analysis evaluated landowners’ preferences towards bioenergy development, including the most important factors that influence their willingness to extract their products and the expected *** and conclusions: Considering both physical and socio-economic aspects, results showed that about59,000 metric tons per year could be available in the study area. The vast majority of landowners surveyed are willing to extract forest residues, as long as they are presented with extraction plans with the highest income. However, many showed concerns about the environmental impacts this activity can have on soils,plants, and fauna. These results can help evaluate the potential of these resources for bioenergy development.

The relativistic beaming model has been successfully used to explain many of the observational properties of active galactic nuclei. In this model the total emission is formed by two components, one beamed, one unbeamed. However, the exact contribution from each component in unresolved sources is still not clear. In the radio band, the core and extended emissions are clearly separated. We adopt the method proposed by Kembhavi to separate the two contributions in the X-ray emissions in a sample of 19 gamma-ray loud blazars. It is clearly shown that the beamed emission dominates the X-ray flux and the unbeamed X-ray emission is correlated with the extended radio emission of the considered objects. We also find that the ratio of the beamed to the unbeamed X-ray luminosity is correlated with the X-ray spectral index, an effect that should be a consequence of the underlying X-ray emission mechanism.

On February 11,2020,the World Health Organization officially announced the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),as an emerging recent pandemic illness,which currently has approximately taken the life of two million persons in more than 200 ***,clinical,and scientific efforts have focused on searching for new prevention and treatment *** medicine and tissue engineering focused on using stem cells(SCs)have become a promising tool,and the regenerative and immunoregulatory capabilities of mesenchymal SCs(MSCs)and their exosomes have been ***,it has been essential to establishing models to reproduce the viral life cycle and mimic the pathology of COVID-19 to understand the virus's *** fields of pluripotent SCs(PSCs),induced PSCs(iPSCs),and artificial iPSCs have been used for this purpose in the development of infection models or ***,some inconveniences have been declared in SC use;for example,it has been reported that SARS-CoV-2 enters human cells through the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptor,which is highly expressed in MSCs,so it is important to continue investigating the employment of SCs in COVID-19,taking into consideration their advantages and *** this review,we expose the use of different kinds of SCs and their derivatives for studying the SARS-CoV-2 behavior and develop treatments to counter COVID-19.

BACKgROUND Acute fibroid complications are ***,failure to recognize and treat acute complications expeditiously when they occur can lead to catastrophic,even deadly,*** is a rare but potentially fatal condition resulting from infarction and infection of a fibroid through bacterial seeding and direct,hematogenous,or lymphatic *** though the diagnosis is established through clinical and laboratory findings,imaging is an important complementary method to support the suspected *** SUMMARY Herein,we report a case of a pyomyoma in a nulliparous woman previously diagnosed with uterine leiomyomatosis according to ultrasound *** patient had previously attended the emergency room due to hypogastric pain unresponsive to *** a week of persistent pain,she developed sepsis without any identifiable *** resonance imaging revealed findings compatible with uterine myomatosis with red degeneration,and a possible diagnosis of a pyomyoma was made according to the imaging findings along with the patient’s clinical *** decided to perform myomectomy(which is an infrequently performed surgical treatment due to the procedure’s intrinsic implic-ations)due to the patient’s desire to preserve *** results revealed a uterine leiomyoma with coagulative and liquefactive necrosis,while the tissue culture showed gram-negative cocci bacteria,which were successfully treated using antibiotic *** patient’s health status improved after several *** The main diagnostic tools to evaluate pyomyomas are the clinical and laboratory findings as well as tissue ***,magnetic resonance imaging can help to corroborate these findings as well as to better characterize myomas with its different complications.

Black phosphorus(BP)is an attractive material for two-dimensional(2D)electronics and optoelectronics given its direct optical band gap in the ***,the vulnerability of BP to oxygen and moisture under ambient conditions has been a significant impediment for the adoption of this material towards practical *** vulnerability has also curtailed the development of additively manufactured,solution processed,ink-jet printed BP devices,which are cost-effective alternatives to lithographically patterned rigid electronics and optoelectronics based on *** this work,we have fabricated stable BP electronic devices on flexible and compliant substrates using low-cost,additive manufacturing techniques with ink-jet printing through scalable chemical exfoliation *** address the stability issues with BP,ionic liquids(ILs)were used as a passivation layer on the surface of the BP to minimize oxidative *** enhanced stability of BP was inferred through Raman spectroscopy and scanning probe microscopy techniques,where no observable changes in the A^(1)_(g)and A^(2)_(g)Raman vibrational modes were observed with time for the BP films passivated with ILs over a period of 168 h under ambient *** the other hand,a blue-shift in these Raman modes was evident for unpassivated *** probe microscopy measurements clearly revealed the difference in the surface characteristics through localized regions of degradation that intensified with time,which was clearly absent in IL/BP *** stability measurements were also conducted in electronic device platforms for IL coated BP devices,where the temperature T dependence of the I_(ds)-V_(ds)characteristic was measured from T~5.4 to 335 *** demonstrations of stabilized ILs/BP devices at ambient printed on flexible polyimide substrates were also *** irradiation with broadband radiation appears to have a significant influence on the electrical behavior of BP,evident through t
