In this paper,the effects of foundation damage and water-level change on vibration characteristics of gravity-type caisson structure are examined by analyzing modal parameters extracted from output-only *** achieve the objective,the following approaches are ***,vibration response analysis methods are selected to estimate power spectral density and modal parameters such as natural frequency,damping ratio and mode shape of a lab-scale caisson structural ***,vibration tests on the lab-scale caisson system are performed under a series of test scenarios which include three water-level changes and three damage ***,experimental modal parameters corresponding to the damaging cases as well as the water level cases are extracted by frequency domain decomposition method and stochastic subspace identification ***,the effects of the water-level variation and foundation damage on the extracted modal parameters are examined to assess the feasibility of the vibration-based damage detection in gravity-type caisson structures under water-level uncertainty.

When considering potential global warming projections, it is useful to understand the impact of each climate condition at 6 kyr before present. Asian paleoclimate was simulated by performing an integration of the multi-model ensemble with the paleoclimate modeling intercomparison project（PMIP） models. The reconstructed winter（summer） surface air temperature at 6 kyr before present was 0.85 oC（0.21 oC） lower（higher） than the present day over Asia, 60oE-150oE, 10oN-60oN. The seasonal variation and heating differences of land and ocean in summer at 6 kyr before present might be much larger than present day. The winter and summer precipitation of 6 kyr before present were 0.067 and 0.017 mm·day-1larger than present day, respectively. The Group B climate, which means the dry climates based on K？ppen climate classification, at 6 kyr before present decreased 17% compared to present day, but the Group D which means the continental and microthermal climates at 6 kyr before present increased over 7%. Comparison between the results from the model simulation and published paleo-proxy record agrees within the limited sparse paleo-proxy record data.

While quantum-classical correspondence for a system is a very fundamental problem in modern physics,the understanding of its mechanism is often elusive,so the methods used and the results of detailed theoretical analysis have been accompanied by active *** this study,the differences and similarities between quantum and classical behavior for an inverted oscillator have been analyzed based on the description of a complete generalized Airy function-type quantum wave *** inverted oscillator model plays an important role in several branches of cosmology and particle *** quantum wave packet of the system is composed of many sub-packets that are localized at different positions with regular intervals between *** is shown from illustrations of the probability density that,although the quantum trajectory of the wave propagation is somewhat different from the corresponding classical one,the difference becomes relatively small when the classical excitation is sufficiently *** have confirmed that a quantum wave packet moving along a positive or negative direction accelerates over time like a classical *** these main interpretations and others in the text,we conclude that our theory exquisitely illustrates quantum and classical correspondence for the system,which is a crucial concept in quantum mechanics.

Heat pump cycles have been widely applied to dryers for their high efficiency. However, low–efficiency electrical heaters are often used during early drying stage for frozen foods or winter since a standard heat pump cycle cannot operate at low temperature. This study introduced cascade heat pumps replacing electrical heaters to improve dryer performance at low temperatures. Experiments were performed to examine changes in performance of the cascade heat pump dryers in relation to ambient temperature, low-stage cycle mass flow rate, and high-stage cycle mass flow rate. The results showed a significant improvement in low-temperature dryer performance with the introduction of cascade heat pump cycles.

Background:spontaneous diversion of the portal flow through collateral vessels into the systemic circulation is frequently observed in liver transplant recipients with severe portal *** induces main portal vein atretic change and modifies flow into the collateral even after donor graft *** atretic changes make liver transplantation *** this article we described several methods for overcoming this challenge by appropriate surgical ***:Three anastomotic techniques for living donor liver transplantation were performed in patients with atretic changes in the portal ***:The three techniques were(1)venoplasty to widen the diameter by using the recipient’s portal vein,and the diameter of the recipient’s portal vein was enlarged using their own portal vein stump patch;(2)conduit with cryopreserved vessels,and we dissected around the superior mesenteric vein and splenic vein junction and a conduit was built using the cryopreserved vessels;and(3)left gastric varix to portal vein anastomosis,if the recipients had large gastric varix and variceal wall was sufficiently thick for ***:selection of optimal methods for portal vein anastomosis is essential in patients with atrophic change on the portal *** these methods are used aptly,they can be considered as favorable methods for overcoming each situation.

Objective:To calculate the numbers of weekly infections and prevalence of malaria,and to predict future trend of malaria incidences in south ***:Weekly incidences of malaria for 13 years from the period 2001-2013 in south Korea were *** backcalculation equations were used with incubation period *** maximum likelihood estimation for Poisson model was also *** confidence intervals of the estimates were obtained by a bootstrap method.A regression model for time series of malaria incidences over13 years was fitted by the non-linear least squares method,and used to predict ***:The estimated infection curve is narrower and more concentrated in the summer than in the incidence *** started around the 19 th week and was over around the41 st *** maximum weekly infection 110 was obtained at the 29 th *** prevalence at the first week was around 496 persons,the minimum number was 366 at 22 nd week,and the maximum prevalence was 648 at 34 th *** drops in late spring with people that falling ill and had had long incubation periods and rose in the summer with new *** future forecast based on the regression model was that an increase at year 2014 compared to 2013 may reach a peak(at maximum about 70 weekly cases) at year *** a decreasing trend after ***:This work shows that back-calculation methods could work well in estimating the infection rates and the prevalence of *** obtained results can be useful in establishing an efficient preventive program for malaria *** method presented here can be used in other countries where incidence data and incubation period are available.
