This paper describes the fin.te elemen. (FE) an.lysis techn.que to predict fatigue life usin. the n.rrow ban. frequen.y respon.e approach. The life prediction.results are useful for improvin. the compon.n. design.methodology at the very early developmen. stage. The approach is foun. to be suitable for a periodic loadin. but requires very large time records to accurately describe ran.om loadin. processes. This paper is aimed at in.estigatin. the effects of surface treatmen.s on.the fatigue life of the free piston.lin.ar en.in.’s compon.n.s. Fin.te elemen. modellin. an. frequen.y respon.e an.lysis were con.ucted usin. computer aided design.an. fin.te elemen. an.lysis commercial codes, respectively. In.addition. the fatigue life prediction.was carried out usin. fin.te elemen. based fatigue an.lysis commercial code. n.rrow ban. approach was specially applied to predict the fatigue life of the free piston.lin.ar en.in. cylin.er block. Sign.fican. variation.was observed between.the surface treatmen.s an. un.reated cylin.er block of free piston.en.in.. The obtain.d results in.icated that n.trided treatmen. yielded the lon.est life. This approach can.determin. premature products failure phen.men., an. therefore can.reduce time to market, improve product reliability an. customer con.iden.e.

Web of Scien.e(842).This review procedure was labelled as Taxon.my *** lterin. Taxon.my 1,it was foun. that 98 scien.ic articles formed the so-called Taxon.my II that was categorized in.o six categories:(i)Robotics con.epts,(ii)Device,(iii)Robotic application.,(iv)Man.facturin. robots,(v)Robotics an.lysis,an.(vi)Education.*** this study,on.y 35 articles in.this specic eld were selected,of which were then.assign.d in.o three categories:(i)Application.(ii)Platform,an.(iii)*** results show that the application.category carries 17.4%,platform 20%,an. education.22.85%.This study serves as the application.platform to help studen.s,academics,an. researchers.

Syn.hesis of ***（0.5-x）Fe204 n.n.particles with x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 an. 0.5 were realized via coprecipitation.method. X-ray diffraction.（XRD） an. vibratin. sample magn.tometer （VSM） measuremen.s were performed on.the samples to determin. the characteristics of the crystal structures an. the magn.tic properties of the samples, respectively. The spin.l phase structures of the samples were con.irmed by XRD an.lysis. Pattern. of decreased lattice parameter an. in.reased crystallite size values were observed by in.reasin. the Li con.en.ration.at lon.er syn.hesis reaction.periods. Similarly, for the magn.tic properties, both the saturation.magn.tization.（Ms） an. coercivity （Hc） were foun. to vary with in.reasin. pattern. at higher Li dopin. levels an. lon.er syn.hesis reaction.periods. The results an. mechan.sms con.ern.d were discussed.

The melt quen.hin. method is used to prepare erbium-doped silver n.n.particle(n.)embedded phosphate *** effect of an.ealin. on.the glass on.the formation.of silver n.s produced by the reduction.of silver(Ag^(+)→Ag^(o))is *** glass samples are characterized by x-ray diffraction.UV-vis-n.R absorption.photolumin.scen.e spectroscopy an. tran.mission.electron.microscopy(TEM)*** absorption.spectra reveal n.t on.y the peaks due to Er^(3+)ion.,but also the surface plasmon.reson.n.e ban. of silver n.s located aroun.~442 *** TEM imagin. shows the homogen.ous distribution.of silver n.s of almost spherical shape with an.average diameter of~5 *** lumin.scen.e spectra show two major emission. at 550 an. 638 n.,origin.tin. from the 4S_(3/2)an. 4F_(9/2)en.rgy levels of the Er^(3+)ion.,*** en.an.emen. in.the lumin.scen.e in.en.ity of both the green.an. red ban.s is foun. to be due to the effective local field of the silver n.s as well as the en.rgy tran.fer from the n.n.clusters,comprised of cen.ers with silver ion. boun. to silver atoms in.dimers or trimers to Er^(3+)ion.,whereas quen.hin. occurred due to the en.rgy tran.fer from erbium ion. to silver n.s(Er^(^(3^(+)))→Ag^(o)).

The effect of bio-glass (45S5) addition.on.the physical properties of Mg-5Zn.matrix composite has been.in.estigated. Powder metallurgy method was used to fabricate the composite by mixin., compactin. an. followed by sin.erin.. Mg-5 wt% Zn.was rein.orced with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, an. 30 wt% of bio-glass (BG). The physical properties such as den.ity an. porosity were determin.d usin. a pcyn.meter. Corrosion.resistan.e was studied by immersion.test. The results showed that porosity of the sin.ered sample decreased for the Mg-5 wt% Zn.rein.orced with 5 wt% of bio-glass. However, above 5 wt% of bio-glass, the porosity in.reased. The result also showed that corrosion.resistan.e of Mg-5 wt% Zn.in.reased as the amoun. of bio-glass in.reased.
