Magnetotactic bacteria(MTB) are known to produce single-domain magnetite or greigite crystals within intracellular membrane organelles and to navigate along the Earth’s magnetic field lines. MTB have been suggested as being one of the most ancient biomineralizing metabolisms on the Earth and they represent a fundamental model of intracellular biomineralization. Moreover, the determination of their specific crystallographic signature(e.g. structure and morphology) is essential for palaeoenvironmental and ancient-life studies. Yet, the mechanisms of MTB biomineralization remain poorly understood, although this process has been extensively studied in several cultured MTB strains in the Proteobacteria phylum. Here, we show a comprehensive transmission electron microscopy(TEM) study of magnetic and structural properties down to atomic scales on bullet-shaped magnetites produced by the uncultured strain MYR-1 belonging to the Nitrospirae phylum, a deeply branching phylogenetic MTB group. We observed a multiple-step crystal growth of MYR-1 magnetite: initial isotropic growth forming cubo-octahedral particles(less than approx. 40 nm), subsequent anisotropic growth and a systematic final elongation along [001] *** the crystal growth, one major f111 g face is well developed and preserved at the larger basal end of the crystal. The basal f111 g face appears to be terminated by a tetrahedral – octahedral-mixed iron surface, suggesting dimensional advantages for binding protein(s), which may template the crystallization of magnetite. This study offers new insights for understanding magnetite biomineralization within the Nitrospirae phylum.

血液中葡萄糖和非酯化脂肪酸(NEFA)浓度常用来确定奶牛的能量状态,而应激会对这2个指标产生影响。为研究血样采集前的常规运输过程对系统中血液葡萄糖和NEFA浓度是否会产生影响,本试验采集了2组泌乳奶牛的血液样品,对其中一组奶牛在产后11和46d进行常规运输。试验结果通过线性混合影响模型进行分析。与对照组相比,运输后的奶牛血液中NEFA和葡萄糖浓度显著升高,而产后46d经过运输的奶牛血液NEFA中脂肪酸组成发生改变。因此,泌乳奶牛血液样品采集前应尽量减少运输过程,从而减少对血液葡萄糖和NEFA浓度的影响,并降低之后错误估计奶牛能量状态可能性。

Congenital arhinia is a very rare condition especially when it is isolated. Most of arhinia are identified after birth and only five prenatal cases are described in the literature. Generally, arhinia is associated with other malformations mainly craniofacial anomalies. Genetics aberrations are uncommon. Our case was diagnosed in the second trimester of pregnancy and we found no associated anomaly except for a single umbilical artery. Autopsy confirmed the diagnosis and neuropathology analysis revealed the absence of olfactory bulbs and tracts.

*** epidermal nevus are benign epidermal *** treatments are disappointing because of recurrences and anaesthetic *** aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of continuous carbon dioxide laser in the treatment of verrucous epidermal *** and *** was a retrospective study concerning all patients treated for epidermal verrucous nevus by carbon dioxide laser from 1991 to *** criteria were evaluated by the patients,a dermatologist and a staff(external observers).Aesthetic result,recurrences,pain due to treatment and global result were evaluated by the patients when they came ***-one patients(12 F and 9 M),medium age 20,4,were evaluated with a 40,4 months follow-up(7 to 165 months)-.The epidermal verrucous nevus was situated on the neck or on the head for 62%of them(n = 13).Among these 21 patients,86%(n = 19)estimated their skin as “cured”or “nearly normal”or “much improved”.The rate was the same for the *** for the staff,thanks to photos,only 53%of results were *** recurrences were never complete,but moderate in 38%of *** patients,medium age 12,5,had hypertrophic *** them,three were only partially ***.A literature review has been *** satisfaction rates(nearly 90%)were slightly higher than other studies rates using carbon dioxide laser(74%)or other types of lasers(87%).The medium follow-up was longer than the one of other laser CO2 studies(26,7 months)or other lasers studies’(15,8 months).This study shows that continuous wave carbon dioxide laser is an easy and effective treatment ofverrucous epidermal *** results are satisfying but moderate recurrences often *** prevent hypertrophic scars,we suggest to exclude teenagers.

Previous experiments with organo-metallic compounds like ferrocene,nickelocene and magnesocene showed that a pure spectrum must be obtained on the residual gas mass analyser before running successfully on the ion *** collaboration with the chemistry department of the University of Caen,LCMT-ENSI Caen,the synthesis of these metallocene compounds has been studied to provide enriched isotopic compounds to GANIL’s *** chemical transformation yields were 90%,80% and 43%,***, chromocene,colbatocene and ruthenocene compounds have first been studied with a gas mass analyser and then successfully tested on the ECR 4M ion source at *** 15eμA of 51V11+,20eμA of 52Cr11+, 22eμA of 59Co11+,and 17eμA of 102Ru11+ were *** comparison between the results obtained on the gas mass analyser and the ion beams provided by the source has allowed us to validate this method of determining whether or not an organo-metallic compound could be a candidate for running on our ECR ion *** the ECR ion sources are tuned and used alternately on the GANIL injectors,the available time for the tests is rare,so this method could be an alternative for the validation of new compounds.
