Identification,Characterization,and Probiotic Potentials of Lactobacillus pentosus SF-1

In recent years probiotics have been considered as a potential substitution of antibiotics to control pathogens and treat infectious diseases in *** the present study a strain of Lactobacillus pentosus,named as *** SF-1,was isolated from waters in *** species identification of this strain was conducted by 16S rRNA sequence,and the physiological and biochemical characteristics of this strain were ***,the virulence,antibiotic sensitivity,cell surface characteristics and acid/base-resistance of *** SF-1 were determined to evaluate the probiotic potentials of this ***,*** SF-1 is sensitive to most common antibiotics,and no hemolysin was generated from it,indicating the safety of this strain to *** addition,*** SF-1 was able to tolerate the artificial gastric juice at ph 3 for 4 h and the artificial intestinal fluid at ph 6.8 or 8.0 for 6 ***,the analysis of self-aggregation and the adhesion of *** SF-1 to organic solvents suggested a high potential of *** SF-1 to inhabit the hosts,which was confirmed by testing the colonization of *** SF-1 in germ-free ***,*** SF-1 displayed a high bactericidal activity against several bacterial ***,the incubation of *** SF-1 significantly promoted the expression of antimicrobial components in zebrafish,contributing to the protection of the fish from *** infection in *** together,the probiotic strain *** SF-1 could be applied as anti-infection reagent in aquaculture.

Acute postoperative pain is commonly treated with flurbiprofen(FBP),but conventional delivery methods are *** study prepared a new non-burst release microneedles(MNs)using genipin cross-linked gelatin(cGel).By adding varying amounts of genipin to modulate the crosslinking degree of cGel,the drug release behavior of the drug-loaded MNs in the skin can be *** crosslinking parameters that meet therapeutic requirements are selected,thus providing rapid and longlasting analgesic *** solutions were successfully cross-linked,altering matrix material microstructure,confirmed by scanning electron microscope imaging and fourier transform infrared *** demonstrated increasing mechanical strength with higher *** release rates were rapid initially,then slowed,exhibiting a characteristic of decreased release rates with increasing degrees of *** vivo,FBP/cGel MNs significantly reduced allodynia and hyperalgesia post-surgery,with the greatest effect observed at 2–3 h post-surgery,and can maintain analgesia for up to 6 *** tests confirmed good ***/cGel MNs effectively penetrate the stratum corneum,safely delivering drugs with significant analgesic effects,excellent mechanical properties,and good biocompatibility,representing a promising strategy for managing acute postoperative pain.

Currently,highly efficient n-i-p perovskite solar cells rely on an organic interface layer for high efficiency,especially 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis[N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)ami-no]-9,9′-spirobifluorene(spiro-OMeTAD),but the instability of organic materials in the photothermal field compromises device *** this study,we employ the oleic acid(YS)/oleamine(YA)end-sealing method to achieve uniform dispersion of NiO_(X)nanoparticles,effectively mitigating coagulation resulting from high local concentration and secondary motion ***,the conductivity of the hole transport layer and its energy level alignment with perovskite is enhanced by the additional 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-7,7',8,8'-tetracyanodimethyl-p-benzoquinone(F4TCNQ),leading to a remarkable improvement of open-circuit voltage and fill factor,thus the high efficiency of 25.17%and 24.36%on 0.1 and 1.01cm2,***,by realizing an all-inorganic interface layer,an initial efficiency exceeding 90%is maintained even after 2,800 h of heating at 85℃.

Adaptive h_(∞)Filtering Algorithm for Train Positioning Based on Prior Combination Constraints

To solve the problem of data fusion for prior information such as track information and train status in train positioning,an adaptive h∞filtering algorithm with combination constraint is proposed,which fuses prior information with other sensor information in the form of ***,the train precise track constraint method of the train is proposed,and the plane position constraint and train motion state constraints are analysed.A model for combining prior information with constraints is *** an adaptive h∞filter with combination constraints is derived based on the adaptive adjustment method of the robustness ***,the positioning effect of the proposed algorithm is simulated and analysed under the conditions of a straight track and a curved *** results show that the positioning accuracy of the algorithm with constrained filtering is significantly better than that of the algorithm without constrained filtering and that the algorithm with constrained filtering can achieve better performance when combined with track and condition information,which can significantly reduce the train positioning *** effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified.

Superplasticity of fine-grained Mg-10Li alloy prepared by severe plastic deformation and understanding its deformation mechanisms

The superplastic behavior and associated deformation mechanisms of a fine-grained Mg-10.1 Li-0.8Al-0.6Zn alloy(LAZ1011)with a grain size of 3.2μm,primarily composed of the BCCβphase and a small amount of the hCPαphase,were examined in a temperature range of 473 K to 623 *** microstructural refinement of this alloy was achieved by employing high-ratio differential speed *** best superplasticity was achieved at 523 K and at strain rates of 10^(-4)-5×10^(-4)s^(-1),where tensile elongations of 550±600%were *** the heating and holding stage of the tensile samples prior to tensile loading,a significant increase in grain size was observed at temperatures above 573 ***,it was important to consider this effect when analyzing and understanding the superplastic deformation behavior and *** the investigated strain rate range,the superplastic flow at low strain rates was governed by lattice diffusion-controlled grain boundary sliding,while at high strain rates,lattice diffusion-controlled dislocation climb creep was the rate-controlling deformation *** was concluded that solute drag creep is unlikely to *** the late stages of deformation at 523 K,it was observed that grain boundary sliding led to the agglomeration of theαphase,resulting in significant strain *** mechanism maps were constructed forβ-Mg-Li alloys in the form of 2D and 3D formats as a function of strain rate,stress,temperature,and grain size,using the constitutive equations for various deformation mechanisms derived based on the data of the current tests.

Bare Pd metal nanoparticles invariably suffer from poor selectivity in furfural hydrogenation by forming flat configurations,with the aromatic ring of the substrate molecules parallel to the metal ***,we put forward a promising solution by using CeO_(2)as promoters to modify Pd nanoparticles for modulating the adsorption behaviors of furfural *** achieve the highly-desired ultra-small Pd@CeO_(2)core@shell nanostructure,a“constrained auto-redox”synthesis is developed,in which silicalite-1 supports play the key role of providing their surface as the landing place of PdO_(x)precursors for inhibiting the overgrowth and the *** the best of our knowledge,this is one of the smallest core@shell materials obtained from aqueous *** evaluated as catalysts,Pd@CeO_(2)/S-1 gives 98.9%conversion of furfural with 94.3%selectivity for furfural alcohol in 15 h,which is much better than that of Pd/S-1(88.6%conversion with 44.3%selectively).The DFT simulation reveals a strong interaction between the defects of CeO_(2)and the oxygen atom of the–ChO group in furfural molecules,which benefits the selective hydrogenation occurred in the–ChO group rather than the furan ring.

Vinyltrimethylsilane as a novel electrolyte additive for improving interfacial stability of Li-rich cathode working in high voltage

Boosting the interfacial stability between electrolyte and Li-rich cathode material at high operating voltage is vital important to enhance the cycling stability of Li-rich cathode materials for high-performance Li-ion *** this work,vinyltrimethylsilane as a new type of organic silicon electrolyte additive is studied to address the interfacial instability of Li-rich cathode material at high operating *** cells using vinyltrimethylsilane additive shows the high capacity retention of 73.9%after 300 cycles at 1 C,whereas the cells without this kind of additive only have the capacity retention of 58.9%.The improvement of stability is mainly attributed to the additive helping to form a more stable surface film for Li-rich cathode material,thus avoiding direct contact between the electrolyte and the cathode material,slowing down the dissolution of metal ions and the decomposition of the electrolyte under high operating *** findings in this work shed some light on the design of stable cycling performance of Li-rich cathode toward advanced Li-ion batteries.

Resource Allocation to Minimize the Makespan with Multi-Resource Operations

This paper investigates a new resource-allocation problem involving multi-resource operations, where completing an operation requires simultaneous use of multiple(renewable) resources,probably of different types. The goal of the study is to provide a solution method that minimizes the makespan. The authors formulate the problem into a novel mixed-integer linear program(MILP)model. To efficiently solve practical-sized instances, an exact Benders decomposition algorithm is developed. This algorithm divides the original problem into a master problem of allocating resources and a subproblem of calculating the makespan, and both are linked via Benders cuts. The convergence is sped up by improving the mathematical model and embedding the variable neighborhood search algorithm. Compared with CPLEX, a commonly used MILP solver, the computational results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm provides tighter upper and lower bounds in most instances. In particular,compared with CPLEX, the proposed method can on average improve the upper and lower bounds by 4.76% and 4.39%, respectively, in solving practical-sized instances.

Resistive field generation in intense proton beam interaction with solid targets

The Brown-Preston-Singleton(BPS)stopping power model is added to our previously developed hybrid code to model ion beam-plasma *** simulations show that both resistive field and ion scattering effects are important for proton beam transport in a solid target,in which they compete with each *** the target is not completely ionized,the self-generated resistive field effect dominates over the ion scattering ***,when the target is completely ionized,this situation is ***,it is found that Ohmic heating is important for higher current densities and materials with high *** energy fraction deposited as Ohmic heating can be as high as 20%-30%.Typical ion divergences with half-angles of about 5°-10°will modify the proton energy deposition substantially and should be taken into account.
